Abstract

Di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah tempat-tempat wisata semakin tertata dengan baik, sehingga telah menarik para wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara untuk berkunjung ke tempat-tempat tersebut, seperti: Pantai Kuta, Pantai Seger, Pantai Mawun, dll. Merupakan objek wisata yang sudah dikenal baik di dalam negeri hingga mancanegara. Dengan perkembangan pariwisata yang pesat tersebut membuat pembangunan infrastruktur juga sangat pesat. Pembangunan sirkuit Motto GP, Mandalika Resort menjadikan Kabupaten Lombok Tengah menjadi tujuan destinasi yang mendunia. Pembangunan hotel-hotel berbintang tengah dikerjakan untuk menunjang event internasional tersebut. Hal ini membuka peluang bagi putraputri daerah Lombok Tengah untuk berkarir di dunia perhotelan. Mekanisme pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyareakat tersebut meliputi : (a) Persiapan, (b) Observasi lapangan, (c) Pendaftaran Peserta Pengabdian, (d) Jadual Pelaksanaan Pengabdian. Sedangkan materi yang disampaikan dalam pengabdian ini adalah (a) Peran Universitas Qamarul Huda Badaruddin Bagu Lombok Tengah Dalam Peningkatan Kualitas sumber daya Manusia melalui pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, (b) Aktualisasi kebijakan akademik dalam pelaksanaan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, dan (c) Falsafah (arti, tujuan, sasaran dan manfaat dari pengabdian masyarakat).

Abstract

Tujuan utama pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dasar mengenai penguasaan engish daily dasar kepada siswa SD I Abdi Nusantara Lombok Tengah. Penyuluhan bahasa Inggris dilaksanakan di kelas 2 ,berdasarkan keterangan kepala sekolah di SDI Abdi Nusantara bahwa bahasa Inggris sangat penting untuk diajarkan kepada siswa/wi mereka terutama dalam kontek speaking dalam kehidupan sehari hari Sehubungan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut, maka pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa teknik yaitu menjawab pertanyaan, mengenal kosa kata yang berkaitan dengan daily English, menyanyi bahasa Inggris bersama dengan pemberian model pengucapan dan latihan kepada peserta. Pelatihan ini telah berlangsung selama 3 bulan dan menghasilkan peserta yang dapat meningkatkan dan mengetahui dasar-dasar penguasaan bahasa Inggris secara kontekstual terkait bahasa inggris sehari hari (Daily English).

Abstract

This research investigates the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing in the Indonesian comedy film Crazy Awesome Teachers (Guru-Guru Gokil, 2020). The study focuses on how characters fluidly alternate between Bahasa Indonesia and English within their dialogues, reflecting complex sociolinguistic dynamics in Indonesia’s multilingual society. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the research systematically examines selected scenes to identify patterns and functions of these language alternations. The findings reveal that code-switching and code-mixing in the film serve multiple communicative purposes. Firstly, they function as markers of social identity, allowing characters to position themselves within particular social groups, such as urban professionals or youth subcultures that favor bilingual speech. Secondly, the use of English lexical items and phrases often highlights professional expertise or educational background, reinforcing character roles as teachers or intellectuals. Thirdly, these alternations contribute significantly to the comedic effect, where unexpected language shifts create humor through incongruity or playful language play. Lastly, code-switching acts as a tool to foster group cohesion and solidarity among characters, signaling shared values or insider status. This study contributes to sociolinguistic scholarship by illustrating how contemporary Indonesian media reflects and negotiates the country’s evolving linguistic landscape, where English increasingly permeates everyday communication. It also sheds light on how bilingual practices in popular culture function beyond mere communication, encompassing identity construction, social positioning, and entertainment. By analyzing Crazy Awesome Teachers, this research underscores the importance of media texts as valuable sites for examining real-life language use and its social implications in a globalizing world.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of Team Game Tournament (TGT) in improving student’s listening skill. The design of this research is one-group pretest-posttest design type pre-experimental research design. The researcher chose one class as a sample. The number of sample selected was 24 students. The data obtain from multiple choices to fill the blank test. The researcher found that the result of the students’ mean score of pre-test was 79,58 and it was improved to 91,25 in post-test. In addition, the result shows a significant improvement in students’ listening skill after the implementation of Team Game Tournament (TGT). The application of TGT not only enhances listening skill but also increases students’ motivation and participation in the learning process. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while the null hypothesis is rejected. Based on the result analysis, the researcher occluded that the implementation of TGT can improve students’ listening skill.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of the Kalembo Ade phrase from the perspective of the Politeness Principle and correaltion with language education.This study was designed as a descriptive qualitative study. Within this method, there is potential for researchers to engage with meaning carried out in a speech event from various events. Therefore, this study employed a pragmatic approach to come with relevant findings. Data were collected from various speech events between children and parents, adults, teenagers, and teenagers and parents. Data, which were in the forms of utterances, were taken in some places and situations, including in a public bus, garden, farm, houses, and neighborhood. The result shows that there are four politeness princples that contained on Kalembo Ade phrase, such as Maxim of Generosity, Maxim of Sympathy, Maxim of Generosity, and Maxim of Appreciation. Based on the results of the analysis, a correlation exists between the expression and education, specifically encompassing the aspects of Cross-Cultural Pragmatics and Sociolinguistics Learning and Curriculum Development for Local Language and Culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas penggunaan Permainan Rantai Kata (Chain Words Game) dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas IX di SMP Al-Ma'arif Almansuriyah Tanak Rarang tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Studi ini didorong oleh pengamatan bahwa banyak siswa kesulitan dengan keterbatasan kosakata, yang tidak dapat diatasi secara efektif oleh metode pengajaran tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental kuantitatif dengan pendekatan satu kelompok pre-test dan post-test. Sampel terdiri dari 23 siswa dari satu kelas IX, yang dipilih secara sengaja (purposive). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kosakata dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji-t sampel berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada nilai kosakata siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 56,40 pada pre-test menjadi 78,60 pada post-test. Uji-t sampel berpasangan mengkonfirmasi signifikansi statistik dari hasil tersebut, menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 9,85 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (lebih rendah dari 0,05). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa Permainan Rantai Kata adalah strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dan menarik untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa, mendorong partisipasi aktif di kelas, dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) is a form of community empowerment that plays an important role in strengthening household food security. This article aims to describe the activities of establishing and mentoring a KWT conducted by students of the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) from Universitas Qamarul Huda Badaruddin in Selebung Madani Village. The implementation method employed a participatory approach through socialization, training, and direct mentoring. The results of the program indicate the successful formation of an active KWT that utilizes home gardens for cultivating food crops and vegetables, as well as an increase in members’ knowledge and participation in supporting household food security.
