Abstract

The results of learning Indonesian in the speaking aspect are still low. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the role playing method on the results of learning Indonesian drama material in class V elementary school students. This research was conducted using a comparative quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample in this study involved two classes, namely the VA SD N 04 Karangsari, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar class with 25 students as the experimental class and the VB class with 25 students as the control class. Data was collected using observation, tests, documentation and questionnaire techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results of the research show that the average post-test score is 88.4 and after testing the t statistic on the post-test t data, it is obtained that t count > t table, namely 4.341 > 2.011 (n = 25) with a significance level of 0.05 or 5% which is stated accepting Ha and rejecting Ho. This means that in the experimental class, the role playing method had a significant effect on the students' learning outcomes in Indonesian drama material.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of academic supervision conducted by school principals on teachers' skills in designing and implementing collaborative learning at SD Negeri 03 Wukirsawit. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the analysis indicate that scheduled academic supervision using various techniques such as direct observation, interviews, document analysis, and group discussions has a significant positive impact. Teachers successfully implemented collaborative learning effectively after receiving guidance from the school principal, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. The school principal plays a key role in creating a supportive educational environment, collaborating with teachers, and fostering open communication. This study contributes to understanding effective academic supervision practices in the context of primary schools and their practical implications for teacher professional development and improving learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how to optimize elementary school children's learning through understanding Jean Piaget's cognitive development theory. The research employs a literature review approach and qualitative analysis of relevant literature. The main focus is on the concrete and formal operational stages that influence children's understanding of learning. Data analysis is conducted descriptively to identify the implications of Piaget's theory in designing teaching strategies appropriate to children's cognitive development stages. This study formulates a conceptual framework to support educators in optimizing classroom teaching and learning processes, considering individual differences in thinking and information processing abilities. The findings indicate that optimizing learning through understanding Piaget's theory involves using strategies and methods that align with children's cognitive development stages. The methods used include contextual learning, outdoor learning, group discussions, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and constructivist models, which help children develop critical and logical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study on mathematics learning in the topic of length measurement using Nusantara batik as a medium aims to analyze the use of Nusantara batik in teaching length measurement in third-grade elementary school and to explore students' responses to this medium. This research employed a qualitative approach conducted at SDN 04 Karangsari, involving 12 female students and 10 male students. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation by combining data from observations, interviews, and documentation to ensure consistency of results. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the use of Nusantara batik in teaching length measurement not only enhances students' understanding of mathematical concepts but also enriches their learning experience by connecting the subject matter to local culture. Students showed high interest and motivation when learning with batik motifs, as they could see a direct relationship between mathematical concepts and daily life. Furthermore, students were able to better understand measurement concepts through analyzing patterns and designs in batik, which involve comprehension of geometry, transformation, and symmetry.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the use of dioramas as interactive media in learning the water cycle for class V students at SDN 03 Ngepungsari, Jatipuro, Karanganyar. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 11 class V students. Data was collected through observation, interviews, tests and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the use of dioramas in learning the water cycle makes it easier for students to understand the concepts of the water cycle. Students look active and fully involved in learning, and can explain the water cycle better after using the diorama. The conclusion of this research is that dioramas can be an innovative and interactive medium for science learning in elementary schools, especially for the topic of the water cycle, and can foster students' understanding of this natural phenomenon.
