Abstract

This research was motivated by seeing from several students who had good and poor memorization scores for the Qur'an, a striking gap in mathematics scores between students who had good memorization and students who had poor memorization. Based on this background, researchers are interested in conducting research on the influence of memorizing the Al-Qur'an on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The aim of the research was to find out whether there was a significant influence of memorizing the Qur'an on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students at the Syech Ahmad Chatib Al-Minangkabawi Tahfizhul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. The type of research used is population research with the nature of correlational research using regression. The population of this research is all class This research data is the result of documentation of Al-Qur'an memorization scores and students' mathematics learning achievement tests. The regression equation is Y = 32.117 + 0.628X. Meanwhile, the results of hypothesis testing obtained t = 4.007 and t table = 2.604 at a significance level of 5%, so that H 0 was rejected and H 1 was accepted with a coefficient of determination = 40.1% . So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of memorizing the Qur'an on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students at the Syech Ahmad Chatib Al-Minangkabawi Tahfizhul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dilihat dari beberapa siswa yang mempunyai nilai hafalan Al-Qur’an yang bagus dan kurang bagus, kesenjangan nilai matematika yang mencolok antara siswa yang memiliki hafalan yang bagus dan siswa yang memiliki hafalan yang kurang bagus. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh hafalan Al-Qur’an terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan hafalan Al-Qur’an terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X di Pondok Pesantren Tahfizhul Qur’an Syech Ahmad Chatib Al-Minangkabawi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian populasi dengan sifat penelitian korelasional menggunakan regresi. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X di Pondok Pesantren Tahfizhul Qur’an Syech Ahmad Chatib Al-Minangkabawi yang terdiri dari satu kelas berjumlah 26 orang siswa. Data penelitian ini yaitu hasil dari dokumentasi nilai hafalan Al-Qur’an dan tes hasil belajar matematika siswa. Persamaan regresinya yaitu Y = 32,117 + 0,628X. Sedangkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 4,007 dan ttabel = 2,604 pada tingkat signifikan 5%, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima dengan hasil koefesien determinasi = 40,1%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan hafalan Al-Qur’an terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X di Pondok Pesantren Tahfizhul Qur’an Syech Ahmad Chatib Al-Minangkabawi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara nilai Kalkulus Diferensial dengan penguasaan Kalkulus Peubah Banyak pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika UIN Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional (Ex Post Facto). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 32 mahasiswa semester IV yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Kalkulus Diferensial. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi nilai dan tes hasil belajar Kalkulus Peubah Banyak, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara nilai Kalkulus Diferensial dan penguasaan Kalkulus Peubah Banyak dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0,61 dan p < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik penguasaan mahasiswa terhadap konsep diferensial, semakin tinggi pula kemampuannya dalam memahami konsep turunan parsial dan gradien pada Kalkulus Peubah Banyak. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar perbaikan strategi pembelajaran kalkulus agar berkelanjutan dan saling mendukung antar-materi.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan kondisi psikologis yang mendorong seseorang untuk melakukan aktivitas belajar secara optimal. Semakin tinggi motivasi belajar yang dimiliki peserta didik, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan peningkatan hasil belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas X IPS MAN I Agam Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional ex post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X IPS MAN I Agam yang berjumlah 41 orang, sehingga penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi. Data diperoleh melalui angket motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji korelasi Product Moment Pearson, serta pengujian signifikansi dengan uji t pada taraf nyata α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung = 3,11 lebih besar dari ttabel = 2,02, dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0,4488 dan koefisien determinasi 20,15%. Hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Dengan demikian, peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik diharapkan dapat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika di madrasah.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations made by researchers in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu, it was found that the problem in this study was the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, this was because the learning process was dominated by teachers and students tended to be passive in learning. Seeing these problems the researcher provides a solution through the application of the brainstorming learning method in linear programming material. Because the brainstorming learning method can increase student learning activities and make learning outcomes better. This research was an experimental research with the static group comparison research design. The population in this study were 4 classes XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu. Based on the research and test results of students' mathematics learning in the sample class, the data obtained were not normally distributed and were homogeneous. The calculation results obtained in the discussion through the u-test standardized z-test obtained that = 3.3784 and = 1.65. The calculation results show that . This means that the test decision H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of the brainstorming learning method on the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Bahuhampu in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes remain a concern because teacher-centered instruction can limit students’ active participation and conceptual understanding. Although the effectiveness of Game-Based Learning in improving learning outcomes has been demonstrated in various studies, research specifically applying this model through an adaptation of Clash of Champions in junior high school mathematics learning remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a Clash of Champions adaptation-based Game-Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Candung in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a learning outcomes test and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and a t-test. The results showed that the mean learning outcome score of students in the experimental class was 72.93, which was higher than the control class mean of 61.37. The hypothesis test results indicated a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the two groups, demonstrating that the implementation of the Clash of Champions adaptation-based Game-Based Learning model had a positive effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. These findings strengthen the application of constructivist theory in mathematics learning and emphasize the importance of active, interactive, and student-centered learning experiences. In practical terms, the results can serve as a reference for teachers in implementing innovative learning models to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Future research should examine the effectiveness of this model across more diverse subject matter, educational levels, and learning variables.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking skills are an essential competency in mathematics learning, but these skills remain relatively low, and studies examining the effect of mathematics anxiety on the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of mathematics anxiety on the mathematical critical thinking skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. The study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto research type and a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 43 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a mathematics anxiety questionnaire and a mathematical critical thinking skills test that met the validity and reliability requirements. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results show that mathematics anxiety has a negative effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills, with a regression coefficient of −0.326 and a correlation coefficient of −0.304. The coefficient of determination of 10.49% indicates that mathematics anxiety contributes 10.49% to the variation in students’ mathematical critical thinking skills, while the remainder is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings strengthen the empirical evidence regarding the role of affective factors in mathematics learning and affirm that students’ psychological conditions also influence the development of higher-order thinking skills. This study implies the importance of teachers creating a supportive learning environment and implementing strategies that can reduce mathematics anxiety so that students’ mathematical critical thinking skills can develop optimally.
