Abstract

The construction of homosexual identity in film is shaped through the representation of values, rituals, heroes, and symbols. Values are constructed through the deconstruction of dominant worldviews that regard homosexual identity as deviant, while rituals are portrayed to normalize such behavior within the film’s narrative. Heroes and symbols serve as visual and narrative representations that reinforce identity and demonstrate the equality of homosexual individuals with heterosexual groups This study aims to critically analyze the meaning of affection and love as advocated by homosexual groups in the film Monster (2023). The research method employed is qualitative with a textual analysis of mass media. Data analysis uses Roland Barthes' semiotics, consisting of denotation, connotation, and myth. Barthes' semiotics is then integrated with Hofstede’s cultural theory, which includes values, rituals, heroes, and symbols. The findings conclude that Monster (2023) represents the struggle of gay individuals to express affection and love through subtle yet meaningful symbolic signs such as gazes, caresses, embraces, and flowers. On the levels of connotation and myth, the film challenges heteronormative norms by asserting that love and happiness are universal rights not limited to heterosexual relationships. Through the value of “our future,” youth social rituals, heroic figures, and queer identity symbols, the film constructs a narrative of acceptance toward same-sex relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of youth preaching content contained in the Kadam Sidiq Tiktok account. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis method. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation. The object of the study was the Kadam Sidiq Tiktok video content that was broadcast on the Kadam Siddiq Tiktok account from January to April 2022. The conclusion of this study is that there is content related to current youth problems, namely quoting Ali bin Thalib's quote from Google, rushing to pray, women who do not wear the hijab are reprimanded by their mothers, a trend of writing "Gw Kaget" but the letter "T" is replaced with a cross symbol, Shock to see Parents rules or rules in the family, and fasting but not praying. Content related to youth issues is interfaith marriage. Up to educational content, namely tips for completing the Qur'an during the holy month of Ramadan.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the Islamic values in a short film set in Javanese culture, namely the film Pemean. The research method is qualitative, using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis, which consists of three concepts: signs, symbols, and interpretants. The conclusion of the study is that the short film Pemean, which was aired on the YouTube channel Paniradya Kaistimewan, is set against the cultural and environmental backdrop of Javanese Yogyakarta, yet it contains Islamic values in accordance with the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Hadith. From a semiotic perspective, the Islamic meanings based on the Qur’an and Hadith found in the short film Pemean include: the prohibition of showing off, lying, arrogance, and spreading slander; encouragement to maintain environmental cleanliness, to be content (qana’ah), to be patient, to avoid laziness, and to do good to neighbors. The implication of this research is to challenge the view that films with cultural backgrounds are inherently secular because they lack Islamic values. Films with diverse cultural settings can convey Islamic messages that can be interpreted based on the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Hadith.

Abstract

Penelitian ini hendak menjelaskan mengenai makna dakwah keindonesiaan dan makna nasionalime. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah hanya dengan studi pustaka (library research). Data penelitian seluruhnya digunakan berupa jurnal, hasil penelitian, buku, dan website yang relevan dengan tema penelitian. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah dakwah Islam juga dapat dibangun dalam bingkai yang lebih umum yaitu semangat nasionalisme keindonesiaan. Dalam bingkai nasionalisme keindonesiaan ini, Islam yang sering dinggap radikal akan mewujud menjadi rahmatan lil alamin. Dakwah Islam kemudian dapat dimaknai dengan cara mengajak dan menyeru kepada usaha membangun bangsa Indonesia menjadi bangsa yang berdaulat. Dengan ajakan membangun bangsa Indonesia ini, dakwah Islam kemudian bisa berkontribusi dalam usaha membangun kembali peradaban umat manusia.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dakwah perempuan dalam mewujudkan keadilan gender yang dilakukan oleh ustadzah Erika Suryani Dewi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitiatif (field research) dengan pendekatan fenemenologi dakwah. Fenomenologi dakwah merupakan metode dalam pendekatan ilmu sosial dan dakwah yang digunakan untuk memaknai peran dakwah yang dilakukan oleh da’i. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu penafsiran dengan model interpretative Phenomenological Analisys (IPA). Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Ustadzah Erika Suryani Dewi. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah Ustadzah Erika Suryani Dewi berpandangan perempuan boleh bekerja, berpolitik, dan berpendidikan tinggi. Namun, seluruh aktivitas tersebut tidak boleh melupakan dari tanggung jawabnya mengurus rumah tangga. Perempuan Muslimah yang beraktivitas di luar rumah juga menjadi bagian dari dakwah itu sendiri yang akan membantu kegiatan dakwah. Ustadzah Erika Suryani Dewi tidak setuju dengan pandangan gender dan feminisme Barat yang liberal. Sebab, gerakan gender dan feminisme ini tidak sesuai dengan syariat Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning of da'wah in the song compilation of Nussa and Rara Volumes 1, 4, and 5. This type of research is a qualitative research with qualitative content analysis through interpretation and not counting statistical numbers. The research design used by the author is descriptive analytic research. The research finding is that there are messages of aqidah, sharia and morals in 4 song titles on the Nussa Offical Youtube Channel. The message of faith is to believe in the existence of Allah SWT and His attributes. Believe in angels and supernatural things. The message of Sharia is an invitation to establish sunnah worship on Fridays, such as taking a bath before performing the Friday prayer. In addition, it is an invitation to maintain the purity of intentions because of Allah SWT. The moral message is to maintain etiquette when eating. Keeping the tongue from things that can harm or hurt the feelings of others and glorify parents and fellow Muslims

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the utilization of social media up as a Wasilah Dakwah STID Students in Al-Hikmah Angkatan 49. The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Methods of data collection is by depth interview, observation, and documentation. Conclusion of research, facebook utilization as wasilah da'wah by STID students in Al-Hikmah 49 by way of: a) spread positive news about Islam. b) Posting good things in the form of video, pictures and inspirational writings. c) Post something that is good. Sharing good postings of goodness, and actively speaking good in the comment field. d) Write articles of Islam, fiqh, hadith, tafseer etc. e) uploading study videos of the scholars. F) Write the motivation of Islamic da’wah.

Abstract

The research was conducted to analyze the utilization of Whatsapp social media as a medium for learning Al-Qur'an Tahsin in the Betta Qur'an program. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection technique is through observation/direct observation of the BETTA Qur'an program. The conclusion of the study found that the use of WhatsApp social media in the BETTA Qur'an program as a medium for conveying material reached 50% of the 20 respondents, apart from that WhatsApp could also be used as a medium for talaqqi and evaluation of members' reading of the Qur'an whose percentage reached 5%. up to 45%, with the help of WhatsApp's free features such as images, audio recordings, videos, and sending documents.
