Abstract

This research examines the effect of work-family enrichment on work engagement through self-efficacy and job satisfaction as mediating variables among women entrepreneurs in Bali. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to women entrepreneurs in Bali. The research sample consisted of women entrepreneurs in Bali, 183 people using the snowball sampling technique. The results of data analysis using PLS show that there is a positive influence of work-family enrichment on self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and work engagement. In addition, self-efficacy and job satisfaction have also been proven to be significant mediators in the relationship between work-family enrichment and work engagement. If women entrepreneurs feel that positive experiences at work enrich their family life, they will believe in their ability to complete tasks and increase their satisfaction in their work, leading them to be more engaged in the organization. The managerial implication of these findings is the importance of women entrepreneurs in creating a work environment that supports a balance between work and family life, which can increase their self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and work engagement. This research contributes to the literature on work-family enrichment and work engagement, especially in the context of women entrepreneurs in Bali.

Abstract

Innovative work behavior is a key driver of technology-based service innovation in the hospitality industry. This study integrates innovative work behavior into Technology-Enabled Innovative Behavior and reconceptualizes organizational commitment into Technology Adoption Commitment to capture employees' psychological attachment to technology adoption underexplored area. Commitment to capture employees’ psychological attachment to adopting technologies. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of transformational leadership on Technology-Enabled Innovative Behavior, and through the mediating roles of paras-paros citizenship behavior and Technology Adoption Commitment. Using survey data from 377 employees of five-star hotels in Bali analyzed with PLS-SEM, the results show that transformational leadership significantly enhances Technology-Enabled Innovative Behavior, with Paras Paros Citizenship Behavior as a partial mediator, while Technology Adoption Commitment has no mediating effect. Higher Technology-Enabled Innovative Behavior is reflected in the frequent use of Property Management Systems, digital payment, and mobile check-in, whereas lower use of AI-driven customer service indicates areas for further innovation. The findings highlight that leadership and Paras Paros Citizenship Behavior provide strong cultural support, but innovation outcomes depend on the accessibility and integration of specific technologies. Strengthening leadership practices, local wisdom values, and the operational integration of underutilized tools can accelerate digital transformation in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

The hospitality industry depends on employees’ innovative work behavior (IWB) to remain competitive, yet prior studies offer fragmented insights into its drivers, dimensions, benefits, and challenges. This study conducts a systematic review of 64 articles (2019–2024) from Scopus and Web of Science using the PRISMA approach. Results show that organizational support, creativity, leadership styles, knowledge sharing, and motivation foster IWB in hotels, with dimensions covering idea generation, promotion, development, and implementation. IWB enhances performance, customer satisfaction, and competitiveness but faces challenges such as limited resources, leadership constraints, and high turnover. This study integrates recent evidence to provide a comprehensive understanding of IWB and practical implications for managers, policymakers, and researchers.
