Abstract

Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO as a humanitarian heritage for oral and intangible culture since October 2009. One type of batik that has uniqueness and high aesthetic value is the Madura Pateng-Teng Batik from Bangkalan, Madura. However, the sustainability of batik production faces big challenges due to the long production process, especially during the drying stage which still depends on weather conditions. Uneven drying can affect batik quality and extend production time, thereby reducing the efficiency and competitiveness of the batik industry. This research aims to design an automatic drying tool to optimize the production of Madura Pateng-Teng Batik by applying the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. This method is used to identify the needs and desires of batik craftsmen and transform these needs into appropriate technical specifications for tools. This research uses a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to batik business owners in Bangkalan. The data obtained was analyzed using the House of Quality (HoQ) to determine optimal dryer specifications. The research results show that the designed automatic dryer is able to speed up the drying process, improve the quality of the final batik result, and reduce dependence on weather conditions. This tool is equipped with a temperature and time control system that can be adjusted to the type of batik cloth, and is designed with energy-saving technology to increase production efficiency. Thus, it is hoped that the application of this automatic drying tool can provide an innovative solution for Madurese Pateng-Teng Batik craftsmen, so that they can maintain production continuity and preserve the cultural heritage of typical Madurese batik.

Abstract

Industri kreatif di Indonesia terus berkembang, termasuk dalam bidang tekstil ramah lingkungan seperti ecoprint. Ecoprint merupakan teknik pewarnaan kain menggunakan bahan alami yang membutuhkan proses pengukusan agar warna dan motif dapat menempel secara optimal. Namun, proses pengukusan yang dilakukan secara manual sering kali menghasilkan ketidakkonsistenan dalam kualitas, boros energi, serta memakan waktu lama. Ecoprint M-Six Surabaya menghadapi permasalahan serupa karena masih menggunakan metode tradisional dalam produksi ecoprint. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang mesin pengukus kain ecoprint yang lebih efektif dan efisien menggunakan metode Fishbone Diagram. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas pengukusan, seperti mesin, metode, manusia, material, dan lingkungan. Dengan desain mesin yang lebih optimal, diharapkan produksi ecoprint dapat lebih efisien, meningkatkan ketajaman motif, daya tahan warna, serta mengurangi waktu dan energi yang dibutuhkan dalam proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi Ecoprint M-Six Surabaya tetapi juga bagi industri ecoprint secara luas dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas dengan pendekatan yang lebih ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Toilet papers in public restrooms are a form of care from facility managers to help maintain hygiene, particularly in sensitive areas. Typically, toilet paper is exposed outside the tissue box, making it a breeding ground for bacteria. The uncontrolled use of tissue allows users to take as much as they wish, indirectly accelerating deforestation. Additionally, information about tissue stock in toilet paper dispensers is needed by cleaning staff or Office Boy (OB) to know when to refill before it runs out. This study aims to develop an innovative tissue box prototype that incorporates minimization, optimization, and efficiency. The prototype is equipped with an infrared (IR) sensor as an input mechanism to dispense tissue, an ESP8266 module connected to the internet to help cleaning staff monitor the tissue stock and implement the tissue usage control system based on an adjustable time interval of n minutes. The prototype has been designed, tested, and proven functional.

Abstract

Windi Shoes is a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) which was founded in 2010, known for its leather sandal Products which reached the peak of its glory in the first five years. However, over time, consumer interest in this brand began to decline. This decline was not due to declining Product quality, but rather due to a lack of understanding of what consumers actually want and ineffective marketing strategies. To answer this challenge, an approach was taken using the 4P marketing method - Product, Price, Place and Promotion. In terms of Products, Windi Shoes has begun to re-evaluate the design and quality of the sandals it offers, so that they are more in line with the tastes and needs of the current market. In the Price aspect, a more competitive strategy is implemented to remain attractive amidst the many choices on the market. Then, for distribution, various sales channels are reviewed and optimized so that Products are more easily accessible to consumers. Finally, in terms of Promotion, Windi Shoes designed a new, fresher and more creative strategy to increase brand awareness and attract the attention of potential customers. With these steps, Windi Shoes hopes to win the hearts of consumers again and revive the brand glory they once achieved.  Keywords: Product; Price; Place; Promotion Windi Shoes adalah sebuah Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yang berdiri sejak tahun 2010, dikenal dengan produk sandal kulit yang sempat mencapai puncak kejayaannya dalam lima tahun pertama. Namun, seiring waktu, minat konsumen terhadap brand ini mulai menurun. Penurunan tersebut bukan karena kualitas produk yang menurun, melainkan karena kurangnya pemahaman terhadap apa yang sebenarnya diinginkan konsumen serta strategi pemasaran yang belum efektif. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, dilakukan pendekatan melalui metode pemasaran 4P - Product, Price, Place, dan Promotion. Dari sisi produk, Windi Shoes mulai mengevaluasi ulang desain dan kualitas sandal yang ditawarkan, agar lebih sesuai dengan selera dan kebutuhan pasar saat ini. Pada aspek harga, diterapkan strategi yang lebih kompetitif agar tetap menarik di tengah banyaknya pilihan di pasar. Kemudian, untuk distribusi, berbagai saluran penjualan ditinjau ulang dan dioptimalkan agar produk lebih mudah dijangkau oleh konsumen. Terakhir, dalam hal promosi, Windi Shoes merancang strategi baru yang lebih segar dan kreatif guna meningkatkan kesadaran merek dan menarik perhatian pelanggan potensial. Abstract

UMKM pangan memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal, namun sering menghadapi kendala dalam aspek legalitas merek dagang dan pemenuhan standar halal. Permasalahan tersebut dialami oleh UD Kauman Jaya, sebuah usaha kecil menengah yang memproduksi keripik tempe di Tenggilis Mejoyo, Surabaya. Ketiadaan merek dagang terdaftar dan belum adanya penerapan Sistem Jaminan Produk Halal (SJPH) menyebabkan usaha ini kurang memiliki daya saing, baik di pasar lokal maupun nasional. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial dan kemandirian UMKM melalui pelatihan merek dagang dan SJPH. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan implementasi, serta evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman pemilik dan karyawan terkait pentingnya branding dan kehalalan produk. UD Kauman Jaya berhasil menyusun draft merek dagang, memperbaiki desain kemasan, serta menyiapkan dokumen awal SJPH sesuai standar BPJPH. Analisis lebih lanjut mengungkapkan bahwa pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas manajerial, tetapi juga memperkuat kepercayaan konsumen dan membuka peluang ekspansi pasar. Dengan demikian, program ini terbukti efektif dalam mendorong kemandirian UMKM dan dapat direplikasi pada usaha sejenis untuk meningkatkan daya saing berbasis merek dan jaminan halal.

Abstract

Teh Solo Bangkalan Branch is a strategic outlet that serves the local market with unique consumer characteristics. Recently, the branch has faced unpredictable demand fluctuations, affecting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. To overcome this, accurate demand forecasting is essential to capture consumption patterns based on historical data and market dynamics. This study compares forecasting methods at Teh Solo Bangkalan Branch, Madura, namely Single Exponential Smoothing and Winters’ Additive. The normality test results show that sales data have a mean of 100.8 and a standard deviation of 9.264, with a normal distribution supported by a p-value of 0.110. Statistical process control analysis indicates that all data points fall within control limits and show no significant deviations, implying stable sales processes. The comparison reveals that Winters’ Additive provides higher accuracy with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 2.78%, outperforming Single Exponential Smoothing with a MAPE of 8.11%. Forecasting results estimate stock requirements for February 2025 at 2,400 units. These findings confirm Winters’ Additive as the most reliable method for predicting demand, while sales stability strengthens stock planning and marketing strategies. This research contributes practical insights for efficient demand management in similar contexts.. Dalam beberapa waktu terakhir, cabang ini menghadapi fluktuasi permintaan yang tidak menentu sehingga berdampak pada efisiensi operasional dan kepuasan pelanggan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diperlukan peramalan permintaan yang akurat guna menangkap pola konsumsi berdasarkan data historis dan dinamika pasar. Penelitian ini membandingkan metode peramalan di Teh Solo Cabang Bangkalan, Madura, yaitu Single Exponential Smoothing dan Winters’ Additive. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data penjualan memiliki rata-rata 100,8 dan standar deviasi 9,264, dengan distribusi normal yang didukung nilai p sebesar 0,110. Analisis pengendalian proses statistik menunjukkan seluruh data berada dalam batas kendali tanpa penyimpangan signifikan, yang menandakan stabilitas proses penjualan. Perbandingan hasil menunjukkan metode Winters’ Additive lebih akurat dengan nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) sebesar 2,78%, dibandingkan Single Exponential Smoothing dengan MAPE sebesar 8,11%. Hasil peramalan memperkirakan kebutuhan stok pada Februari 2025 sebanyak 2.400 unit. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa metode Winters’ Additive merupakan cara paling andal untuk memprediksi permintaan, sementara stabilitas penjualan menjadi dasar bagi perencanaan stok dan strategi pemasaran. Abstract

Muslim consumers' need for halal and sharia-compliant products continues to grow over time. The implication of this is an increase in demand for products with halal certificates. This research aims to reveal the motivations, perceptions and preferences of groups of entrepreneurs towards packaging products with halal certification. Data was obtained through a survey with a questionnaire to collect primary data from 100 respondents who were Muhammadiyah MSME business owners in Surabaya. The average analysis of research results shows that consumers' motivation to use halal packaging is mainly due to the need for quality packaging that is safe for use and according to religious law. Consumers perceive that halal packaging is guaranteed halal, quality and has an affordable price. Their level of preference is relatively high, consumers as entrepreneurs place halal packaging as the main choice and will use it continuously. Overall, the results of this research show that Muhammadiyah Surabaya business actors have quite positive motivations, perceptions and preferences for halal packaging. However, there is a need to increase awareness of the more attractive aspects of design as well as further education regarding the importance of innovation in halal packaging.

Abstract

Produk unggulan desa merupakan salah satu usaha peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat dengan ciri khas yang berbeda dari daerah lain. Salah satu kendala dari proses pengembangan usaha produk unggulan Desa Kemantren yaitu kurangnya optimalnya pemasaran dan penjualan secara online. Sedangkan manfaat dari digital marketing diantaranya efisiensi biaya dan waktu, fleksibel dan interaktif, jangkauan pasar yang sangat luas, serta mudah diukur dari segi dampak pada penjualan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu meningkatkan literasi dan kompetensi pemilik UMKM di Desa Kemantren dalam pemasaran secara online atau digital marketing sehingga produk unggulan yang dimiliki dapat menjangkau luar wilayah daerah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan beberapa aplikasi media sosial diantaranya Google My Business, Tiktok, Instagram, Canva, dan Website sebagai alat bantu pemasaran digital. Kegiatan dimulai dari tahap pelatihan, dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan yang dilakukan selama 2 minggu. Monitoring dan evaluasi dilaksanakan secara periodik tiap minggu untuk memantau perkembangan pemasaran digital tiap UMKM. Hasil dari pendampingan ini yaitu pemilik UMKM telah mampu menguasai teknik digital marketing dan menerapkannya dalam promosi di berbagai media sosial.

Abstract

Kenjeran is one of the sub-districts in the city of Surabaya. The majority of local residents' livelihoods are as food and beverage SME. To maintain food quality and safety, an analysis is needed to identify the dangers that exist during the process of making food or beverage products and provide recommendations for developing a food safety system, namely through the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system. There are 7 main principles that exist in the HACCP system which consists of 24 questions distributed to MSME actors in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City. Validation and reliability tests were carried out on each question item using the Cronbach's alpha method. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis using the mean (average) and mode methods, it can be concluded that the value produced in the analysis dominates number 3 and the highest average value is found in principle 6 with an average of 3.16. From this average value, it can be interpreted that the level of understanding of MSME actors in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City is quite understanding or often enough in checking and cleaning raw materials, production processes and workers in the production environment. There are several principles that have a low average value, namely principle 1 of 2.87 and principle 5 of 2.89, meaning that it can be said that the level of understanding of SME actors in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City is somewhat lacking. Improvements that can be made are by conducting training and counseling regarding the HACCP system which must be followed by all SME actors, whether from Kenjeran District or other sub-districts in the city of Surabaya, as well as increasing government regulations regarding increasing resources to prepare SME actors who are better prepared.
