Abstract

Several toddlers in Indonesia face developmental challenges, including delays in fine and gross motor skills, hearing impairments, speech delays, and cognitive issues. One of the main factors contributing to these problems is the limited ability of families to provide the proper stimulation needed for child development. In this context, the role of Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu) cadres becomes essential. Cadres with good skills, high motivation, and consistent enthusiasm are needed to support the success of the Posyandu program, especially in early childhood developmental screening. This community service activity was designed to provide basic training for Posyandu cadres, with a primary focus on enhancing their ability to stimulate and detect early signs of developmental delays in children. The training was held on May 4, 2025, at the Mu'thi Jaya Indonesia Foundation Meeting Room and attended by 30 Posyandu cadres. An evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-test questionnaires to assess the knowledge and skills of the participants before and after the training. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the cadres' knowledge and skills related to early detection and stimulation of child development. Data analysis revealed a p-value of 0.074, indicating a substantial increase in understanding after the training. However, continuous support is necessary to ensure that early detection practices and child stimulation continue to be implemented effectively in the field. Routine monitoring and evaluation are also crucial to assess the long-term impact of this program on children's development in the community, as well as to ensure that the Posyandu program continues to function effectively in supporting the growth and development of children, particularly during the critical early years of life.

Abstract

Background: During Hyperglycemia is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal levels, which is less than 200 mg/dl for casual plasma glucose values. Uncontrolled hyperglycemia can cause blood sugar levels to spike so high that it can cause emergency hyperglycemia. Objective: This study aims to determine the description of nursing care for patients with hyperglycemia with progressive muscle relaxation intervention.Research Method: This type of research is a case report. Data collection for this case study was carried out in the Emergency Room of Hermina Jatinegara Hospital on October 11, 2023. Data collection was carried out through observation, physical examination, and interview methods. Diagnostic examination data were obtained through the results of medical record records. Blood glucose levels were measured using a Glucometer. Results: Mr. A, 41 years old, male with a medical diagnosis of hyperglycemia, the results of the assessment were found that the client complained of weakness, dizziness, often felt thirsty, had nausea and vomiting 2 times and had 5 loose stools since morning, the extremities felt cold, skin turgor decreased and dry, bowel sounds frequency 40x / minute, blood glucose levels were 432 mg / dl, leukocyte levels were 14.7 10¬ ^ 3 / µL, and hematocrit was 47%. The nursing diagnoses that were established were unstable blood glucose levels, hypovolemia, and diarrhea. The nursing interventions provided were hyperglycemia management and additional progressive muscle relaxation therapy, hypovolemia management, and diarrhea management. Nursing evaluation found that the problem of unstable blood sugar levels was resolved, the problem of hypovolemia was partially resolved, and the problem of diarrhea was partially resolved. Conclusion: This case report provides an overview of nursing care for patients with hyperglycemia and information on the effectiveness of providing additional interventions, namely progressive muscle relaxation.

Abstract

Background: During the hemodialysis process, patients may experience acute complications due to decreased comfort, both physically and psychologically. Objective: The This literature review aims to determine whether music therapy can reduce complications in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.Research Method: This literature review study investigates whether music therapy can reduce complications in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. Results: A total of 49 articles were found, with 6 articles selected after the screening process, and subsequently analyzed in this literature study. Music therapy has been proven to significantly reduce anxiety, pain, and cramps, balance systolic and diastolic blood pressure, improve sleep quality, decrease respiratory rate, and increase oxygen saturation. Conclusion: Music therapy can reduce complications in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.
