Abstract

White-spoted rabbitfish (Siganus canaliculatus Park 1797) or serpik (Sasak) are very popular with the community as consumption fish. The condition of resources is very worrying along with the shrinking area of ??seagrass ecosystems as a habitat for white-spoted rabbitfish. The purpose of this study is the eligibility of parent candidate of white-spotted rabbitfish. The study was conducted from 1 June to 31 July 2018 in Serewe Bay, south of Lombok Island. Data were collected using a survey-descriptive-independent method with sampling, observation, documentation, and dialogue techniques. Data consists of primary and secondary, quantitative and qualitative data groups, as well as numeric and logarithmic. Biologically, white-spotted rabbitfish from Serewe Bay has a thin body (minor allometric) and slightly flat (not fleshy). The biological status indicates that the gonads do not yet contain eggs and sex cells, so they are not eligible to be candidates for parent. However, the level of maturation is quite high where almost all of the fish samples observed are worth catching, which means the fish have passed the length of the first time the gonads mature (maturation). To get a decent and productive white-spotted rabbitfish parent, it is recommended to catch the prospective parent after the mating season ends.

Abstract

Pemijahan merupakan penentu dalam kegiatan pembenihan kerang bulu. Pemijahan pada hatchery biasanya didahului dengan perangsangan dan rangsangan yang diberikan berupa manipulasi suhu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu terhadap tingkat pemijahan dari kerang bulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Rancangan penelitian menggunakan 3 (tiga) faktor perlakuan suhu yang berbeda dan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan P1 dengan suhu 25±0,5oC, P2 dengan suhu 30±0,5oC, dan P3 dengan suhu 34±0,5oC. Variabel Independen atau variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah variasi suhu. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali ulangan dan total unit percobaan sebanyak 9 unit percobaan. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil dengan perlakuan 2 mendapatkan hasil paling baik dengan tingkat penetasan telur sebesar 87% diikuti perlakuan 3 yaitu 46.5%, dan perlakuan 1 tidak memijah. Sedangkan untuk kelangsungan hidup nilai tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan P2 (64.34%) dan P3 (24%).

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the morphological characters (morphometric and meristic) and the maturity level of the gonads of pepudah fish in North Lombok. The data relating to the morphology obtained is expected to be used as basic information in management and cultivation activities in the future. Data collection was carried out in the basic science laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries, University of 45 Mataram. Morphometric and meristic data were obtained by measuring and calculating the morphological characters present in the pepudah fish and followed by the t-test to see the growth pattern. Gonad maturity data were obtained by comparing the TKG value with the GSI value. The results of the morphological data obtained indicate that the pepudah fish obtained in the Sokong River have a negative allometric growth pattern and are still in their infancy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurikulum 2013 yang disusun oleh pemerintah yang diharapkan siswa mampu memuat keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, penilaian pembelajaran dan instrument penilaian pembelajaran kelas VII MTs Al Raisiyah Sekarbela pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik dan guru IPA kelas VII MTs Al Raisiyah Sekarbela. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan Skala likert dan kata kerja oprasional dari teori Andreson dan Karthwohl untuk menganalisis RPP dan soal penilaian akhir tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran didominasi oleh kecakapan berpikir tingkat rendah, walaupun terdapat kecakapan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada salah satu indikator pembelajaran. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, guru sudah mengarah pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, meskipun guru belum sepenuhnya mengaplikasikan seluruh keterampilan 4C dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Dalam penilaian pembelajaran masih terdapat kemampuan yang kadang-kadang diterapkan yaitu berpikir kritis dan kreativitas, sementara itu kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi sudah sering diterapkan. Instrument penilaian keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui penilaian soal akhir tahun mengacu pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat rendah. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII MTs Al Raisiyah belum sepenuhnya mengacu pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Hal ini perlu adanya perbaikan dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan instrument penilaian agar terciptanya kegiatan pembelajaran yang mengacu pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dan merupakan dasar dalam mencapai hasil belajar. Dalam hal pemahaman konsep, siswa tidak hanya sebatas mengenal, tetapi harus dapat menghubungkan satu konsep dengan konsep lainnya. Padahal Pendidikan nasional bertujuan untuk membentuk manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa serta berakhlak mulia, tidak hanya mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Pemahaman Konsep Biologi Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan Terhadap Etika Makan Sesuai Sunnah Di MAN 1 Lombok Barat. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini siswa MAN 1 Lombok Barat KLS XI pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Sampel dalam penelitian ini KLS XIA sebanyak 20 orang. Data diambil menggunakan Soal Tes dan Angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Pemahaman Konsep Biologi Materi Sistem Pencernaan di MAN 1 Lombok Barat tergolong ke dalam dua kategori yaitu Baik sebesar (45%), dan kategori Cukup baik (55%). Sedangkan pada Perilaku siswa terhadap Etika Makan Dan Minum Sesuai Sunnah di MAN 1 Lombok Barat tergolong ke dalam tiga kategori yaitu kategori sangat baik (40%), Baik (55%), dan cukup baik (5%). Dan perhitungan Korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat Hubungan yang signifikan antar Pemahaman Konsep Biologi Materi Sistem Pencernaan dengan Etika Makan Dan Minum Sesuai Sunnah Di MAN 1 Lombok Barat yaitu nilai signififikansi 0,495 > 0,05

Abstract

Produksi lobster dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan pakan dengan tingkat kesukaan dan nutrisis yang tepat, kitosan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menambah tingkat kesukaan lobster terhadap pakan buatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi kitosan dari eksoskeleton lobster terhadap palatability pakan buatan lobster. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan penelitian true eksperimental mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali pengulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu kosentrasi kitosan, (Perlakuan satu 0%, perlakuan dua 0,6%, perlakuan tiga 0,7%, perlakuan empat 0,8%, dan terakhir perlakuan lima 0,9 %). Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa penambahan kitosan dari limbah cangkang udang yang diolah menjadi kitosan, selanjutnya di olah menjadi pakan buatan mampu meningkatka kesukaan lobster terhadap pakan buatan tertinggi pada penelitian ini di tunjukan oleh perlakuan 1 sebesar (0,55181 gr), kemudian di ikuti dengan perlakuan 5 sebesar (0,50967 gr), selanjutnya perlakuan 2 sebesar (0,50803 gr), setelah itu di ikuti dengan perlakuan 3 sebesar (0,50342 gr), dan yang terkhir perlakuan 4 sebesar (0,5061 gr).

Graphical Abstract   Highlights of Research The chitosan was successfully produced from lobster shells Panulirus homarus. The characteristics and quality of chitosan from lobster shells Panulirus homarus were observed. The anti-fungal activity of chitosan was assessed. Chitosan enhances the water stability of lobster pellets.       Abstract Tropical rock lobster aquaculture is a lucrative industry that is currently limited by the lack of appropriate formulated feed. Its nocturnal, benthic feeding behavior necessitates a water-stable feed that maintains integrity under tropical marine conditions without degrading. Chitosan, a biopolymer derived from lobster (Panulirus homarus) shells, has potential applications in aquaculture as an antifungal agent and feed binder. We report on the characteristics of chitosan extracted from the exoskeleton of spiny lobsters (Panulirus homarus), including its effect on fungal activity and water stability of pellets. Chitosan was produced through three main steps: deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation. The resulting chitosan was characterized through crude composition (AOAC methods), FTIR spectra, and scanning electron microscope (SEM), while antifungal activity was assessed through in vitro assays. Chitosan was used to coat lobster feed pellets by immersion method at different concentrations (0%, 0,5%, 1%, 1,5%, and 2%), and its impact on pellet water stability was assessed. There were three replications in fungal activity and water stability test. The yield of chitosan was 5.9 ± 0.01% of the total shell mass, with 96.99% ± 0.01 degree of deacetylation (DD). The resulting product contained 5.94 ± 0.07% moisture, 36.72 ± 0.05% ash and 2.73 ± 0.08% nitrogen. Chitosan morphology was characterized as an irregular shape with dimensions ranging from 157 to 391 µm, with a combination of striated surface textures. Increasing concentration of chitosan increased water stability of pellets up to 1.5% inclusion, while 0.5% optimized Fusarium sp. inhibition. These findings suggest that chitosan from lobster shells can be sustainably utilized to enhance feed quality, reducing fungal contamination and nutrient leaching in aquaculture systems.

Abstract

Sukamade Coastal Area located in Meru Betiri National Park has particular object as ecotourism attraction, i.e. Sea Turtle. On the other hand, national park management use the cross subsidy from ecotourism activities to promote the conservation action plans for the survival of sea turtle. This study was aimed to formulate action plans to develop the sea turtle conservation as ecotourism attraction in Sukamade Coastal Area. Field observation was conducted to evaluate the current activities of the sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade. Semi-structured interview and secondary data collection was also conducted to support the formulation of the action plan. Data was analyzed by SWOT method to be developed into action plan. Results showed that the management of sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade Coastal Area has been attempted to meet the conservation concept for sea turtle but also beneficial for the ecotourism implementation. However, we recommend a long term and short term action plan for the sustainability of the sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade Coastal area. It includes the mangrove restoration, sea turtle feed development, mapping of sea turtle distribution and migration, the use of up to date biotechnology, workshop on conservation management, and the development of research facility in the area. Additional to the current policy on sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities, the action plan that we recommended were expected to improve the sustainability management in Sukamade Coastal Area.
