Abstract

In the context of Minahasa, in fact women have been given equal opportunities with men. But it is also undeniable fact that women in Minahasa are also face a lot of struggles. Some women become objects to domestic or workplace violence, trafficking, divorce, marginalization in the workplace, etc. There are women who are forced or willing to leave their jobs because of the demands of marriage and family life. So, the problem is, even though the society or even the church provides space for women to play an active role, some women reject it with cultural or social reasons. The problem lies with women who cannot use the opportunities to explore their abilities that God has given them to work with others in God’s missionary work. This research aims to analyze the role of the women who followed Jesus in church growth according to Luke 8:1-3. This research uses qualitative research methods by collecting data from books and journals that will be analyzed to get the conclusion. The result of this research reveals that women can play active roles in the society and church ministry using all their capacities that God has given to them. A change of thought is necessary if what is expected is a change of action. Change of thinking from women themselves to be willing to fight for liberation and transformation in her life and other people’s life through church’s and society’ mission/ministry. Abstract

The Birthright is a privilege for an firstborn. This birthright is a culture that has existed since the time of ancient Israel which is still often misinterpreted today. This right gives a mistaken view of the position of an firstborn. When in the story of Esau and Jacob who were brothers, loved by his father and mother, Esau looked down on the birthright and exchanged it for Jacob's red bean soup, so that Esau did not care about his privileges either by inheritance, for leadership or for the privileges he had as the firstborn and then he sold the birthright Jacob.

Abstract

Blessings are gifts that God gives in human life. There are those who want to feel and enjoy God's blessings, but the life they live does not reflect obedience to God. Even when they receive blessings, they forget themselves and forget to thank God for the blessings they enjoy. In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, when the Israelites were about to enter the land of Canaan and live in the promised land that the LORD God had given them, Moses gave a speech in which he spoke about reminding the Israelites to be faithful to hear God's commands and to obey Him. The promise when they were willing to obey and be faithful to Him was the abundant blessings that God would give them but if they violated then there were curses that would befall them. This scientific work uses the Hermeneutic method of historical criticism in order to obtain the right meaning and theology regarding obedience to God, is the main key for believers to obtain blessings that come from God.

Abstract

Human understanding today is always presented with the concept that those who obey and are faithful to God will be blessed and those who do evil will suffer. On the other hand, humans always want to have something obtained instantly. The book of Job struggles with that understanding and attempts to decipher the concept of recompense. Because of the reality of life in this world, humans are always faced with two sides of life, namely difficult and happy. Researchers use qualitative methods with a literature approach (librabry Research) for this paper. Job's struggles, as the book of Job testifies, are evidence of his perseverance in facing everything in life. Contrary to the concept in Israel that obedience and faithfulness bring blessings. The concept of Job in the face of hardship and pleasure is a character that every human or believer must possess. It turns out that the concept of God as the giver of blessings and punishments based on human works was renewed into a God far beyond human thought and wisdom. Man has limitations to experience God's work in this world. Man's tendency to frame God in man's limited thinking makes it difficult for man to understand what God has done. Olh is therefore in chapters 2:1-13 (are we willing to receive good from God, but not bad? Here comes Job's perseverance.)

Abstract

Dalam tradisi Gereja katekisasi merupakan moment penting dalam pembentukan iman sebelum seseorang menyatakan komitmen imannya. Metode dalam katekisasi memegang peranan penting dalam meningkatkan religiusitas peserta. Namun, dalam praktiknya, metode pengajaran yang digunakan sering kali bersifat satu arah, didominasi oleh ceramah dan hafalan doktrin, yang kurang memberi ruang bagi peserta untuk bertanya dan berdiskusi sehingga proses pembelajaran terasa kaku karna menciptakan jarak antara Pemimpin katekisasi dan peserta. Sebagai respons terhadap tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini mengajukan model kepemimpinan Yesus sebagai Sahabat sebagai pendekatan baru dalam proses katekisasi. Yesus dalam pelayanan-Nya tidak hanya mengajar dengan otoritas, tetapi hadir secara dekat, mendengarkan, berdialog, dan membangun relasi yang setara dengan murid-murid-Nya. Model inilah yang ditawarkan dalam penelitian ini agar katekisasi bisa menjadi lebih hidup dan membuat peserta merasa dihargai. Dengan meneladani Yesus sebagai Sahabat, penelitian ini menawarkan sebuah pendekatan kepemimpinan yang dialogis dan egaliter guna meningkatkan religiusitas Peserta katekisasi sidi.

Abstract

The hustle culture phenomenon in modern society reflects a significant shift in life orientation, where success and productivity become the primary sources of identity and meaning. Therefore, this study aims to analyze hustle culture as a form of contemporary idolatry from the perspective of Old Testament theology and affirm its relevance to today's faith life. This research is important because it provides a critical theological framework for reading modern social phenomena that are often considered neutral but actually contain profound spiritual implications. The method used is a qualitative approach through the study of literature with theological-biblical analysis of key texts, especially Exodus 20:3 and Deuteronomy 8:17–18, and supported by contemporary theological literature. The main argument of this study states that hustle culture is a form of modern idolatry that is non-material, where success and career function as "gods" that demand total loyalty and devotion, thus shifting the orientation of faith from God to human achievement. The results of the study show that the concept of idols in the Old Testament was not limited to physical objects but included everything that took over God's position in the human heart. Thus, hustle culture can be understood as a manifestation of idolatry in a new form that is structural and cultural. This study concludes that critical theological reflection is needed to reframe the orientation of human life to be centered on God as the primary source of identity, meaning, and hope.
