Abstract

Learning accounting not only requires students to master accounting concepts but also requires mastering skills in managing financial information in an accounting system. Accounting learning requires an effective model that focuses on students who can practice their skills and develop their knowledge, namely the "Problem-Based Learning" (PBL) model. This research seeks to examine the effect of implementing the PBL model using digital platforms on student learning success. The subjects of this research were class XII students at Public High School 13 Jambi City. The research was conducted using a "Quasi Experiment" model with a "non-equivalent control group" design, namely using an experimental class and a control class. Research data is the result of learning before and after implementing the PBL model using the Digital Platform which is rationed in the form of an N-Gain score. Data were analyzed using the statistical technique "comparative independent sample t-test". Based on the analysis results, the average N-Gain score for the experimental class was 52.32 in the quite effective category, and the average N-Gain score for the control class was 37.17 in the ineffective category. The results of the "independent sample t-test" obtained a calculated t-value of 4.287 > compared to the t table at alpha 5% of 2.00 so that the application of the PBL model with the use of digital platforms in accounting learning was proven to have a significant effect on the learning success of students at " Public High School 13 Jambi City”. The application of the PBL model by utilizing digital platforms is an alternative to optimizing accounting learning in the current era of digitalization of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh literasi digital dan self-efficacy terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi angkatan 2022 Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Populasi penelitian adalah 104 mahasiswa dengan sampel sebanyak 82 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial literasi digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (7,282 > 1,990). Self-efficacy juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (2,451 > 1,990). Secara simultan, literasi digital dan self-efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (49,726 > 2,72) serta memberikan kontribusi sebesar 54,6%. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi tingkat literasi digital dan self-efficacy mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kesiapan mereka dalam menghadapi dunia kerja.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the persistently low level of engagement among some students during classroom learning, evidenced by a lack of participation in asking questions, engaging in discussions, expressing opinions, and participating in learning activities. This situation is believed to be influenced by internal factors such as time management, academic stress, and achievement motivation. The study aims to determine the impact of time management, academic stress, and achievement motivation on the classroom engagement of Economic Education students (Class of 2023) at the University of Jambi. A quantitative approach utilizing the ex-post facto method was employed. The study population consisted of 112 students, with a sample of 88 students determined using Slovin's formula and proportionate random sampling. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²) test. The results indicate that time management, academic stress, and achievement motivation each have a significant effect on classroom engagement. Simultaneously, these three variables also significantly influence student engagement. Therefore, improving time management skills, managing academic stress, and strengthening achievement motivation are necessary to enhance student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Students are increasingly using social media and incorporating it into their everyday life. It has been demonstrated that kids' psychological health is impacted by social media use if it is not appropriately regulated. This study aims to investigate the connection between students' use of social media and psychiatric illnesses. A literature review is the process employed, which entails gathering and assessing scientific publications pertaining to the research subject as well as a variety of national and international periodicals. According to the study's findings, excessive social media use can lead to a number of psychological conditions, such as stress, anxiety, depression, sleep pattern disturbances, FOMO, and social media addiction. Furthermore, these negative consequences are exacerbated by cyberbullying, social comparison, and a lack of self-control. High levels of social media use also have an impact on kids' academic performance, social interactions, and learning focus. However, social networking can be beneficial if utilized sensibly and with sufficient computer literacy. Therefore, in order to safeguard students' mental health, initiatives to reduce social media use and enhance self-control are required.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of selecting concentration courses as one of the academic decisions students make. In this process, there are various factors believed to influence students’ decisions, including peers and career prospects. This study aims to determine the influence of peers and career prospects on the selection of concentration courses among students in the Economics Education Study Program, Class of 2023, at the University of Jambi, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as its theoretical framework. The study employs a quantitative approach using the causal-associative method. The research sample consisted of 90 students selected using simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted via a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that, partially, peers have a positive and significant effect on the selection of concentration courses, with a t-value> t-table (4.009 > 1.987), whereas career prospects do not have asignificant effect, with a t-calculated value < t-table (0.047 < 1.987). Simultaneously,peers and careerprospects have a positive and significant effecton the selection of concentration courses, with an F-calculated value > F-table(8.656 > 3.10) and contributing 16.6%. The results of this studyare expected to provide input for the Economics Education Study Program in improving information services and guidance for students inselecting concentration courses. mata kuliah konsentrasi.
