Abstract

Students' perceptions of the school environment need attention because they can indirectly affect students' efforts to achieve academic achievement. Therefore, schools always strive to create safe, comfortable, fun, and not dull conditions, known as school well-being, which is the development of the concept of well-being. This community service activity was carried out for class X IIS 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jakarta, who felt less happy because they could not follow lessons using information technology in their teaching and learning activities. This community service aims to improve students' school well-being so that with the happiness they feel, students are more enthusiastic and motivated to improve their learning achievement at school. This activity is carried out in the form of counseling. The results obtained from this activity are an increase in students' understanding of school well-being and creating a sense of happiness in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to modify the instrument interpersonal reactivity index (IRI) made by Davis (1980) which consists of 4 dimensions into 2 dimensions. This research uses quantitative approach, the respondents is 318 students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung who were of Sundanese ethnicity and lived in Islamic boarding schools with simple random sampling. The result of modification IRI instrument from 28 items to 26 items. Based on the results, it is known that content validity shows that all items are valid, the item differences shows that 24 items have a good difference, and confirmatory analysis shows that 23 items are valid. The result of the multidimensional validity test shows that perspective taking aspect has r value .81 and concern for other aspect has r value .71. While the alpha reliability obtained value .903 and reliability CR .96, and the model for empathy instrument of this modification is fit.

Abstract

Menikmati kesejahteraan bersama keluarga dengan tinggal di rumah menjadi impian setiap orang.Namun di era pandemi Covid-19 di mana semua orang diharapkan melakukan kegiatannya di rumahdalam kurun waktu lama, menimbulkan kesulitan dan kebosanan termasuk pada pekerja perempuanyang sedang work from home. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan optimisme dankeberfungsian keluarga dengan subjective well-being pada pekerja perempuan yang work from homedi Kecamatan Tambun Utara Kabupaten Bekasi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 150 orang denganteknik pengambilan sampel secara nonprobability sampling jenis insidental. Instrumen penelitianyang digunakan adalah skala model Likert yang terdiri dari skala subjective well-being, optimisme,dan keberfungsian keluarga. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan bivariate correlation antaravariabel optimisme dengan subjective well-being, didapatkan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,205dan p = 0,008 (p < 0,05), artinya ada hubungan signifikan dengan arah positif antara variabeloptimisme dengan subjective well-being. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan bivariatecorrelation antara variabel keberfungsian keluarga dengan subjective well-being didapatkankoefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,212 dan p = 0,006 (p < 0,05), yang artinya ada hubungan signifikandengan arah positif antara variabel keberfungsian keluarga dengan subjective well-being. Analisisdata menggunakan multivariate correlation antara variabel optimisme dan keberfungsian keluargadengan subjective well-being diperoleh R square = 0,075 dengan nilai p = 0,002 (p < 0,05), artinyaada hubungan signifikan dengan arah positif antara variabel optimisme dan keberfungsian keluargadengan subjective well-being perempuan pekerja yang bekerja secara work from home di KecamatanTambun Utara Kabupaten Bekasi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by many women who have sexual experiences. The purpose of this study was todetermine the significant role of empathy and emotional intelligence on forgiveness of women who haveexperienced sexual harassment. This study uses three variables, namely empathy, emotional intelligence,and forgiveness. The population in this study are women who have experienced sexual harassment who livein JABODETABEK. The sample taken in this study amounted to 160 people, with incidental sampling. Thedata collection method uses a Likert model scale, consisting of a forgiveness scale, an empathy scale, andemotional intelligence. The results of the validity test of forgiveness found 21 valid items with very highreliability, 19 valid empathy items with very high reliability, and 25 valid emotional intelligence items withvery high reliability. The results of this study obtained Bx1y = 0.275 and a significance level of p: 0.000(p<0.005), meaning that there is a significant positive role of the empathy variable on the attitude offorgiving women who experience sexual harassment. The results of the analysis Bx2y = 0.303 and asignificance level of p: 0.000 (p<0.005), meaning that there is a significant positive role for emotionalintelligence variables on forgiveness of women who experience sexual harassment. Obtained a value of R= 0.339 and R Square = 0.115 and a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.005), meaning that there is asignificant positive role for the variables of empathy and emotional intelligence to forgive women whoexperience sexual harassment.

Abstract

This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the relationship between work-familyconflict and the husband's support for the subjective well-being of married female police officers. Thevariables in this study were subjective well-being, work-family conflict, and husband's support. The subjectsinvolved in this study were married policewomen who served in Polres X with a population of 130 people,while the sampling technique used a saturated sampling technique, which used the entire population.Researchers used 3 scales as a measuring tool, namely: subjective well-being scalework-family conflict scale,and husband's support scale. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant negative relationshipbetween work-family conflict and subjective well-being with r = - 0.732 and P = 0.000 (p <0.05). There is asignificant positive relationship between husband's support and subjective well-being with r = 0.744 and p =0.000 < 0.005. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between work-family conflict and husband'ssupport together with subjective well-being of R Square (R2) = 0.653 and p = 0.000 <0.05. The contributionof work-family conflict and husband's support to subjective well-being is 65.3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assistance for PartnersCommunities in Pringkasap Village, Pabuaran District, Subang Regency – West JavaIndonesia in increasing awareness about environmental sustainability and cleanliness, aswell as improving skills in managing waste. This mentoring activity is carried out in orderto answer the problems faced by partners about 1) Lack of awareness of residents inmaintaining environmental sustainability and cleanliness, 2) Lack of knowledge aboutsorting waste from the source, and 3) How to use waste for economic value. Theimplementation of mentoring consists of stages: 1) interviews and partner observations, 2)socialization. and 3) Counseling on how to increase citizen awareness in maintainingenvironmental sustainability and cleanliness, Providing knowledge about waste sortingand how to use waste for economic value.

Abstract

         Awal tahun 2020 Covid-19 menyebar ke berbagai belahan dunia dengan cepat, dan hingga saat ini belum dapat sepenuhnya teratasi. Dampak penyebaran covid-19 juga dirasakan di dunia pendidikan, termasuk oleh guru-guru di Yayasan Peradaban Cordova yang mengajar di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Cordova di Cikarang, Bekasi. Persoalan terdekteksi ketika para guru mulai mengalami kejenuhan dalam menjalankan fungsi Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ), dan pesimisme guru dalam melihat perkembangan siswa. Di sisi lain penggunaan media pembelajaran dirasa masih belum efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa serta adanya berbagai keluhan dari orangtua siswa yang merasa kesulitan mendampingi anak-anaknya belajar dari rumah. Sementara itu belum diketahui dengan pasti kapan pembelajaran tatap muka dapat segera dilakukan. Melalui webinar kepada guru pada program pengabdian masyarakat ini, diperoleh hasil: 1. Guru dapat memahami dengan bijaksana kondisi pandemic covid-19 dan kaitannya dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh yang harus dijalankan sebaik mungkin di tengah keterbatasan yang ada. 2. Guru mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat meningkatkan resiliensi dan optimisme di masa pandemi ini. 3. Meningkatnya rasa optimisme dalam diri yang kemudian mendorong guru lebih kreatif dalam mengajar. 4. Guru yang memiliki resiliensi dan optimisme lebih bahagia dan mampu mengahadapi keterbatasan dengan lebih kreatif dan produktif di masa sulit seperti saat ini.

Abstract

Everybody aspires and deserves some personal well-being. This kind of well-being is subjective, and it is shaped by the way individuals perceive and feel the situations surrounding their lives. This study aimed to investigate the effect of gratitude and social support on fishermen's subjective well-being. This study's subjects were 299 fishermen living in the coastal area of Pelabuhan Ratu, who were chosen through an accidental sampling technique. In collecting data, subjective well-being was measured using Flourishing Scale and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience, Gratitude Scale, which was based on Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation Test, and Social Support Scale that was based on Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Multiple regression analysis showed that the entire independent variables significantly influenced subjective well-being. Meanwhile, each dimension's regressive coefficient on the independent variables showed four sub-variables that significantly influenced the dependent variables: sense of abundance, simple appreciation, appreciation to others, and family support.

Abstract

The character of grit is to emphasize the importance of desire, interest so that students can achieve the desired achievements when students have resilience and persistence. There are still many schools that have learning targets that emphasize the value of achievement rather than character building. As the result, it can be found the phenomenon of students who are not enthusiastic to maintain interest, do not have the resilience to overcome obstacles and challenges, and have a need for achievement with an unyielding mentality. The purpose of this study is to examine the theoretical model of the effect of school well-being on grit with a growth mindset as a mediator. Three hundred and thirteen school-age students were surveyed. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire based on a Likert scale model and being tested through several stages to obtain valid and reliable instrument. The finding suggests that theoretical model fits with the empirical data. However, contrary to expectations, results from SEM analyses indicates that growth mindset has no positive and significant effect in mediating influence of school well-being on grit of students from 10 Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in four sub-districts of Bekasi Regency. Rather, results show two direct effects; that growth mindset and grit go hand in hand and that school well-being supportd growth mindset. Gender differences are observed in growth mindset and school well-being. Theoretical and practical implications for parents and teachers are also discussed.

Abstract

The Literature Review article Determination of Educational Technology: Analysis of Online Learning and Learning Styles is a scientific article that aims to build a research hypothesis on the influence of variables to be used in further research, within the scope of Education Management. The method of writing this Literature Review article is the library research method, which is sourced from online media such as Google Scholar, Mendeley and other academic online media. The results of this literature research are: 1) Educational Technology relates to Online Learning; 2) Educational Technology relates to Learning Styles; and 3) Online Learning relates to Learning Styles. Apart from these exogenous variables that influence the endogenous variables in Educational Technology, there are other factors that influence them, such as: there are many other factors including the Design, Development and Evaluation variables.
