Abstract

Job appraisal is a crucial component in human resource management that functions to evaluate employee performance while supporting strategic decision-making, such as promotion, training, and incentives. This study discusses the role, methods, challenges, and impact of job appraisal on employee productivity and development in organizations. The methods reviewed include 360-degree assessment and competency-based assessment, which have been proven to provide comprehensive evaluations and support individual competency improvement according to organizational needs. This study also identifies several key challenges, such as rater bias, lack of transparency, and employee resistance to the assessment process. To overcome these challenges, assessor training, the application of data-based technology, and open and inclusive communication are recommended strategic steps. In addition, employee involvement in the assessment process through discussion and two-way feedback has been shown to increase trust and participation in the evaluation process. The results of the study indicate that systematically and objectively designed job appraisals can significantly improve employee productivity, motivation, and development. In addition, effective job appraisals are an integral part of a sustainable human resource development strategy, encouraging the creation of an inclusive, collaborative work culture, and supporting the achievement of the organization's strategic goals.

Abstract

Waqf, as one of the philanthropic instruments in Islam, has great potential to become a sustainable source of educational funding in the modern era. Waqf is not limited to land or buildings; it has also evolved into various forms such as cash waqf and waqf sukuk, which can be used to finance educational institutions. History shows the significant contribution of waqf to the development of education, especially during the Islamic Dynasty. However, challenges in educational funding are increasing as education costs continue to soar. In this context, waqf can serve as an effective alternative solution. Professional and transparent management of waqf is crucial to ensure that the collected funds can be utilized optimally. Additionally, the use of technology in waqf management is a key factor in enhancing efficiency and transparency. This research aims to explore the challenges and opportunities in managing waqf as a source of educational funding in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid development of the times brings many changes, it also brings impacts on the world of Education, the development of times can not be fought rather should be made as friends, including in the world Education all who are involved in it are required to adapt more quickly. It is a challenge for teachers to continue to innovate in communicating information without separating knowledge from existing technological developments, by constantly upholding every change with the prescribed legal norms, so that as changes do not occur unwanted moral and ethical degradation, through ability as well as professionalism, a teacher is expected to be able to respond to the anxiety of moral degeneration in the students who are increasingly becoming. This research aims to provide innovation as well as motivation for a teacher to continue to increase knowledge as a reference in the face of educational challenges in the era of globalization. As for this research, using a library study method. The results of the study conclude that the collaboration of teachers and parents is important in tackling moral degradation. Regular meetings to discuss student development help create an integral moral understanding of the two main environments: home and school. Educating positive behavior in school through rules that support discipline, honesty, and accountability is also effective. Abstrak Pesatnya perkembangan zaman membawa pada banyak perubahan, hal ini juga membawa dampak pada dunia Pendidikan, perkembangan zaman memang tidak bisa dilawan justru seharusnya dijadikan sebagai kawan, termasuk di dalam dunia Pendidikan semua yang terlibat di dalamnya dituntut untuk lebih cepat beradaptasi. Hal ini menjadi sebuah tantangan bagi guru untuk terus berinovasi dalam menyampaikan informasi tanpa memisahkan antara pengetahuan dengan perkembangan teknologi yang ada, dengan terus membentengi tiap perubahan dengan norma hukum yang sudah ditentukan, sehingga seiring dengan adanya perubahan tidak terjadi degradasi moral dan etika yang tidak diinginkan, melalui kemampuan juga profesionalisme, seorang guru diharapkan mampu menjawab kegelisahan akan degradasi moral pada siswa yang kian hari semakin menjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan inovasi juga motivasi bagi seorang guru untuk terus memperbanyak pengetahuan juga referensi dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era globalisasi. Adapun dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kolaborasi guru dan orang tua penting dalam mengatasi degradasi moral. Pertemuan rutin untuk mendiskusikan perkembangan siswa membantu menciptakan pemahaman moral yang utuh dari dua lingkungan utama: rumah dan sekolah. Pembiasaan perilaku positif di sekolah melalui aturan yang mendukung sikap disiplin, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab juga efektif.

Abstract

The disruption of Industry 4.0 compels the education sector to adapt to digital technology, demanding digital leadership from school principals as drivers of transformation. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and lack of motivation remain. This community service aims to equip students, teachers, and education staff with digital competencies to become agents of change in facing Society 5.0. The program was conducted through training/workshops led by expert speakers covering digital literacy and student innovation in the digital era. Participants engaged actively in discussions, Q&A sessions, and strategic planning exercises. Evaluation was carried out through direct observation and pre- and post-training questionnaires. Results showed that 85% of participants experienced significant improvement in knowledge and skills related to Islamic education planning. The training proved effective and strategic in preparing student leaders for the digital era with technology-based leadership competencies.
