Abstract

AbstractMalay Language Camp Program as An Effort to Maintain Islamic Cultural Identity At Ma'had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat, Yala, Thailand. This study aims to examine the improvement of Malay language skills through the Malay Language Programme Camp at Ma'had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat in order to strengthen the Islamic cultural identity of the participants. The main problem is the lack of appreciation and understanding of the Malay language among the younger generation, which makes them prefer foreign languages. Therefore, the Malay language program camp was designed to increase the participants' interest and understanding of the language through an interactive and contextual learning approach. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design where data was collected through interviews and participant observation. The results showed that the program significantly improved participants' Malay language skills and cultural awareness. In addition, activities involving Malay cultural traditions successfully strengthened the participants' sense of identity as Muslims. This research is expected to contribute positively to the development of similar programs in the future to preserve Islamic cultural identity.Keywords: Malay language camp, Islamic education, language teaching.AbstrakCamp Program Bahasa Melayu sebagai Upaya Mempertahankan Identitas Budaya Islam Di Ma’had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat, Yala, Thailand. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan keterampilan berbahasa Melayu melalui camp program bahasa Melayu di Ma’had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat terhadap penguatan identitas budaya Islam di kalangan santri. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya apresiasi dan pemahaman terhadap bahasa Melayu di kalangan generasi muda, yang membuat mereka cenderung lebih memilih bahasa asing. Oleh karena itu, camp program bahasa Melayu dirancang untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman santri terhadap bahasa tersebut dengan pendekatan belajar interaktif dan kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Melayu santri dan kesadaran budaya mereka. Selain itu, kegiatan yang melibatkan tradisi budaya Melayu berhasil memperkuat rasa identitas santri sebagai umat Muslim. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pengembangan program serupa di masa depan dalam rangka pelestarian identitas budaya Islam.Kata-kata kunci: Camp Bahasa Melayu, Pendidikan Islam, Pengajaran Bahasa.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, perhatian terhadap kesehatan mental di kalangan remaja semakin meningkat, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan Islam di Ma’had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat. Berdasarkan laporan dari WHO, masalah kesehatan mental saat ini dianggap sebagai krisis global yang memengaruhi sekitar satu dari tujuh anak berusia 10 hingga 19 tahun yang mengalami gangguan mental. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang kesehatan mental dan penyimpangan perilaku pada santri. Metode: Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang mencakup ceramah, diskusi, survei dan melibatkan 23 santri kelas 10 Program Melayu di Ma’had Al-Irsyad Lil Banat, Yala, Thailand. Hasil: Adanya peningkatan pemahaman santri terhadap pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental serta kemampuan untuk mengenali tanda-tanda gangguan mental dan perilaku menyimpang. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran santri tentang kesehatan mental dari sudut pandang Islam.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze how the Deep Talk Critical method is applied by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to enhance student self-disclosure and the impacts of this method on learning effectiveness. Methodology: This qualitative field research employed triangulation of data sources, including interviews, observation, surveys, and documentation. The Miles and Huberman analysis model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing was used. The study also defined four self-disclosure indicators: openness, empathy, support, and equality, based on interpersonal communication theories. Main Findings: Findings indicate the Deep Talk Critical method is highly effective (85.72%) in fostering student self-disclosure. Specific indicators showed high performance: empathy (90.41%), equality (88.63%), support (84.87%), and openness (78.97%). Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to PAI communication strategy literature by formalizing Deep Talk Critical as a practical pedagogical model for strengthening self-disclosure and emotional intelligence among students.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to explore the role of family in children's character building through informal education. Using the Library Research method, this study collected and analysed data from reliable sources in the library including books, journals, and electronic documents. The main focus is on how parents help shape good attitudes and values in children, with a case study on Maudy Ayunda's family who is known to educate children with the principles of independence, hard work, and empathy. The results show that parents play a critical role as the main model in character education, which includes value formation, religious education, and behavioural supervision. Character education in Indonesian schools is still at the introductory stage and has not yet reached the stage of value internalisation, so informal education at home is very significant. This research confirms that effective character education requires co-operation between formal and informal education, with parents as the primary educators. Character building is not only about instilling moral values, but also preparing children to face challenges with responsibility and integrity. Keywords: Character Education, Family, Quality Character Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran keluarga dalam pembentukan karakter anak-anak melalui pendidikan informal. Menggunakan metode Library Research, penelitian ini mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari sumber-sumber terpercaya di perpustakaan termasuk buku, jurnal, dan dokumen elektronik. Fokus utama adalah pada cara orang tua membantu membentuk sikap dan nilai yang baik pada anak, dengan studi kasus pada keluarga Maudy Ayunda yang dikenal mendidik anak dengan prinsip kemandirian, kerja keras, dan empati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memainkan peran kritikal sebagai model utama dalam pendidikan karakter, yang mencakup pembinaan nilai, pendidikan agama, dan pengawasan perilaku. Pendidikan karakter di sekolah Indonesia masih pada tahap pengenalan dan belum mencapai tahap internalisasi nilai, sehingga pendidikan informal di rumah menjadi sangat signifikan. Penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa pendidikan karakter yang efektif memerlukan kerja sama antara pendidikan formal dan informal, dengan orang tua sebagai pendidik utama. Pembentukan karakter bukan hanya menanamkan nilai moral, tetapi juga mempersiapkan anak untuk menghadapi tantangan dengan tanggung jawab dan integritas.
