Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pendidikan orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 2 Nganganaumala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif lebih berorientasi pada pendekatan survai. Dengan pendekatan survai ini, peneliti hendak menggambarkan karakteristik tertentu dari suatu populasi, variable yang ditelaah disejalankan dengan karakteristik yang menjadi fokus perhatian survai tersebut. Perhitungan uji validitas menggunakan Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) for Version 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Pendidikan orang tua memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 2 Nganganaumala sebesar 0.68. Apabila dilihat besarnya rxy yang diperoleh ini, yaitu: 0.68 ternyata terletak antara 0.40 - 0.70. dapat dinyatakan bahwa antara variabel X dan variabel Y terdapat pengaruh yang sedang atau cukup. Hasil uji validitas untuk kuesioner variabel X (Nilai Pendidikan Orang Tua) yang berjumlah 15 item pertanyaan, dapat diketahui bahwa seluruh pertanyaan dinyatakan valid, dimana hasil perbandingan antara rhitung > rtabel, dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 (5%) dan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa koefisien > 0,334.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of Duolingo, a Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) application, in enhancing English learning motivation among students from the accounting and management study programs. Non-English major students often face time constraints in formal language learning, with only 24 hours of English classes throughout their college years. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a mixed-method approach to analyze data from 56 students who participated in a self-study program using Duolingo for six weeks. Quantitative analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test revealed that 85.7% of students experienced a significant increase in motivation. Qualitative findings from in-depth interviews indicated that gamification elements such as levels and leaderboards played a role in enhancing motivation and engagement. This study suggests that Duolingo presents a potential solution to time constraints in formal English education at universities.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to identify the challenges faced by school principals in managing resources, as well as formulate strategies or recommendations that can support increasing the effectiveness of school management.Methodology – The research method uses a study approach to analyzing research journal trends using bibliometric mapping that allows policy makers, including school principals, to understand the development of innovations that can be applied in school management. Data analysis in this study was carried out on 650 documents that had been collected and selected based on relevance to the research topic. After the initial processing stage, the data was further analyzed using VOSviewer, a bibliometric software that allows visualization of relationships between researchers, institutional collaboration, and mapping of keywords that often appear in the documents analyzed.Findings – The results of this study indicate that the implementation of principal competencies in managing educational resources plays an important role in improving the effectiveness of school management and the quality of learning. The use of technology, data analysis, and performance-based approaches are the main focus in educational leadership strategies. The contributions of various countries show that this issue is receiving global attention, with best practices that can be adapted to improve school competitiveness.Contribution – With a data-based approach, principals can optimize teaching staff, facilities, and curriculum to create a more adaptive and innovative learning environment.

Abstract

This research aims to improve reading comprehension of texts using picture story media. This type of research is classroom action research, using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. This research consisted of four steps, namely, planning, action, observation and reflection, and was carried out in two cycles. The data collection technique used in this research is through tests, observation and documentation. This is proven by research data, namely the results of the pre-cycle test, there were 6 students who completed or 42.85% of all students who got ≥ 65, in the first cycle there were 15 students who finished or 71.47 of all students who got a score ≥ 65, while the results of the second cycle test were 19 students who completed it or 90.47% of all students who got a score ≥ 65. The results of this study show that using picture story media can increase understanding of reading texts from cycle I to cycle II by 90 .47%.

Abstract

Abstract: Pengelolaan barang bekas dari lingkungan dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat memicu kreativitas siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan pembelajaran yang menarik minat siswa. Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media peningkatan kreativitas siswa di Min 1 Baubau serta alat bantu pendidikan. Sehingga menjadi sebuah karya baru dan dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan, praktik, sosialisasi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media pembelajaran dapat menghidupkan suasana kelas karena media ini sangat menarik minat dan perhatian siswa jika siswa terlibat langsung berkreasi dan membuat sendiri media pembelajaran tersebut. Implikasi dalam pengandian ini bahwa pemanfaatan barang bekas, guru dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran di Kelas, sehingga siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan tidak bosan dalam belajar.
