Abstract

Hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a ceramic biomaterial that is highly biocompatible and employed in a variety of biomedical applications. Its chemical formula is Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, comprising calcium and phosphate, the primary minerals found in bones and teeth. The precipitation method can be used to change the structure of hydroxyapatite by replacing strontium ions (Sr2+) with calcium ions (Ca2+). This work aims to determine the physical parameters of Sr-HAp samples with substitutions of 0, 0.25, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.75 %-mol. The samples were dried at 105ºC for four hours and then calcined at 750ºC for two hours. Sr-HAp samples were examined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and SEM-EDX. The XRD data revealed diffraction patterns with distinctive peak intensities, lattice characteristics, and crystal structures. The FTIR data revealed vibrations of the PO3-, Ca–O, Sr–O, and OH- functional groups, with differences in intensity and peak shifts caused by Sr substitution. SEM results revealed the shape of Sr-HAp particles in an agglomerated form, while EDX supplied elemental composition data through a comparison of O, P, Ca, and Sr atomic percentages. The study found that Sr substitution and calcination alter the structure, morphology, and bioactivity of Sr-HAp. Sr substitutions at 0% and 0.5% are remarkable in that they result in multiphases after calcination.

Abstract

Abstrak Latar belakang: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan penyebab kematian ketujuh secara global dengan prevalensi 422 juta kasus menurut WHO, dan menjadi penyebab kematian ketiga di Indonesia akibat komplikasi. Rendahnya pengetahuan tentang DM mempercepat timbulnya komplikasi. Media edukasi berfungsi untuk mempermudah penyampaian informasi kesehatan. Pengetahuan pasien DM sangat penting dalam pengelolaan penyakit jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas media edukasi leaflet dan cakram gizi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, kepatuhan diet, dan kadar glukosa darah pasien DM tipe 2 di Puskesmas Kedungkandang. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan efektivitas penggunaan media edukasi leaflet dan cakram terhadap pengetahuan, kepatuhan diet, dan kadar glukosa darah pasien rawat jalan Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 di puskesmas Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperiment dengan rancangan two group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2024, di Puskesmas Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien rawat jalan penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Kedungkandang Kota Malang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 12 pasien untuk kelompok kontrol dan 12 pasien untuk kelompok perlakuan. Hasil: Media cakram lebih efektif daripada leaflet dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, tetapi belum efektif dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan diet sehingga kadar glukosa darah juga cenderung tidak stabil. Simpulan: Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa media cakram lebih efektif daripada leaflet dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, tetapi belum efektif dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan diet sehingga kadar glukosa darah juga cenderung tidak stabil. Abstract

Nowadays, a gas stove is a basic need in every household because it is Government’s Program to convert conventional stove to be gas stove. LPG Gas and its holder are inseparably parts when using gas stove. Even using stove gas has been a compulsion for society for the last many years, however, spark, explosion and fire still happens that are caused by using a gas stove/holder. These circumstances create worry for its users. Therefore, students from the University of Riau under Community Service Program perform training to help the community not be afraid/worry when using stove gas in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County in Dumai City – Riau Province. Aim of this service is to educate people in using LPG gas stove or holder and the way to handle the leakage of its LPG gas holder in the right way to overcome any danger if it happens in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County. The results of this training show that communities are braver to use gas stoves because at this time they understand how to use the gas stove in the right way and how to handle any danger that could happen. By this training, hopefully people in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County are not afraid/worried anymore when using LPG gas stove/holder.
