Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan evernote sebagai media note-taking dalam pembelajaran reading mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris Maritim pada taruna Program Studi Nautika TA. 2023/2024 di Politeknik Pelayaran Sorong dan sekaligus mengetahui tanggapan mereka terhadap pemanfaatan evernote. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan memberikan panduan pemanfaatan evernote yang kemudian akan digunakan oleh taruna. Angket evaluasi dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan taruna terhadap penggunaan evernote meliputi, tanggapan pada aspek pengetahuan umum, kenyamanan, efisiensi penggunaan, pencapaian tujuan, dan sikap kolaboratif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sequential explanatory design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa 97% taruna mendapatkan pengetahuan pemanfaatan aplikasi evernote dari panduan yang diberikan, dan 92% taruna menganggap aplikasi ini efisien untuk digunakan dan memudahkan mahasiswa untuk memahami materi. Selain itu, ada 89% taruna merasa nyaman menggunakan aplikasi evernote, dan 89% taruna menilai aplikasi evernote sangat baik untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan mereka dalam meningkatkan produktivitas kualitas belajar reading serta 100% taruna menganggap aplikasi evernote sangat membantu mereka berkolaborasi untuk berbagi catatan/tugas dan mengumpulkannya dengan efisien. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi evernote terbukti dapat memberikan pengetahuan baru terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis digital, menciptakan kenyamanan, efisiensi penggunanya, mendukung ketercapaian tujuan, serta menumbuhkan sikap kolaboratif.

Abstract

Humans are gregarious and lonely beings who must interact with one another to exchange thoughts, knowledge, or feelings. This can be done through written, oral, nonverbal, or gestural means. Interpersonal communication is the process of direct, in-depth communication between two people or a small group of people through distinctive touch and message exchange. Interpersonal communication is one of the communication skills that should be taught from an early age since effective communication is communication that other people can accept and understand. The process of direct, in-depth conversation between two or a small group of individuals via physical touch and message exchange is known as interpersonal communication. Particularly for kids between the ages of 10 and 12, when they are going through a phase of adjusting to their surroundings, including making friends, effective interpersonal communication is crucial. This study aimed to determine the effect of democratic parenting patterns on interpersonal communication in children aged 10-12 years. The research data were 59 children aged 10-12 years at SD Hidayatullah, Salak Village, Klawasi Village, Sorong City, Southwest Papua. This type of research is quantitative research with the PLS-SEM method. From the data analysis, it was obtained that the valid indicators were X.2, X.9, Y.2, Y.3, and Y.7. The results of the t-statistic value were 3.773, which was greater than the t-table value of 2.003 (3.773 > 2.003). This means that democratic parenting patterns of parents significantly influence interpersonal communication in children aged 10 to 12 years. The analysis results also obtained an f-square value of 0.237, which means that the democratic parenting pattern of parents has quite an effect on children's interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the implementation of The Secret Board media in improving communication and collaboration skills using the jigsaw model learning method in Class VI students in Mathematics at MI Roudlatul Khuffadz. The student population amounted to 32 students in a Class VI with a sample taken amounted to 16 students from that class. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the secret board Learning media can create an interactive learning environment, increase student participation, confidence in communication, and good teamwork skills, as well as increase learning motivation. This study concludes that this media is effective and can be used as a reference for teachers to design learning strategies that are more interactive and collaborative

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the challenges and strategies employed by multi-subject teachers in carrying out the teaching and learning process at SD Nurul Sakinah Azzahrah, Sorong City. The emergence of multi-subject teachers is a consequence of the limited number of educators, requiring one teacher to handle several subjects beyond their area of expertise. This research applied a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation review. The findings reveal that teachers face several major challenges, including limited time for lesson preparation, varying levels of subject mastery, and a lack of learning media and facilities. Nevertheless, teachers demonstrate adaptability by employing strategies such as utilizing simple technology, creating context-based learning materials from the local environment, and adjusting instructional approaches to students’ characteristics. Support from school leadership and collaboration among teachers also enhance the effectiveness of learning. The study concludes that creativity, professional reflection, and strong commitment are key factors in ensuring the success of multi-subject teachers in maintaining learning quality in elementary schools with limited resources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using natural materials in science practicum activities amid limited laboratory facilities on understanding contextual learning among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency. Natural materials serve as an alternative medium for conducting science practicum due to the lack of proper laboratory equipment. The research was conducted from July 2024 to February 2025. A quantitative approach was used, employing a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 22 students from SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency. Data were collected through interviews and written tests in the form of a pretest and posttest. The results showed a significant difference in the average, maximum, and minimum scores before and after the treatment. The significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can thus be concluded that there is a significant difference in students' learning outcomes between the pretest and posttest, meaning that the use of natural materials in science practicum activities amid limited laboratory facilities has a positive effect on students’ understanding of contextual learning in fifth grade at SD Inpres 34, Sorong Regency.
