Abstract

Mangrove Beach has many tourist attractions and is one of the choices for marine tourism. With various attractions offered, Mangrove Beach has a camping ground as one of the supporting accommodations for the attractions offered. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential of the camping ground owned by Mangrove Beach to increase tourism marketing. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach with Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the potential for camping ground at Mangrove Beach, Serdang Bedagai Regency is the only beachside camping ground in Serdang Bedagai and its surroundings, has a very large area for setting up tents, there are sunset attractions, there are 2 homestay units as supporting accommodation, free camping ground fees if you bring personal equipment, has educational tours related to mangroves where this is one of the attractions for visitors, and there are fishermen who offer various catches that can be a choice of culinary visitors.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap strategi pemasaran destinasi pariwisata, terutama dalam konteks pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pemasaran yang efektif dalam mempromosikan Danau Toba sebagai destinasi pariwisata berkelanjutan di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber internet, seperti artikel, laporan, dan publikasi terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial, situs web, dan platform digital lainnya memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan daya tarik wisatawan. Selain itu, kolaborasi antara berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, masyarakat lokal, dan pelaku usaha, turut mendukung keberlanjutan pariwisata di Danau Toba. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas mengenai strategi pemasaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam mengembangkan destinasi pariwisata berkelanjutan di masa depan.

Abstract

Kampoeng Lama Village in Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency, has faced a decline in its image and tourism sustainability following a fire incident at the Paloh Naga Agrotourism site. This incident has negatively impacted the village's attractiveness and overall tourism potential. This study investigates the rebranding of Kampoeng Lama as a sustainable tourism destination through community empowerment. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with a field study approach, data were collected through interviews with key stakeholders, including the heads of the village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) and the tourism community empowerment group (Pokdarwis), along with observations and documentation. The findings reveal critical challenges, such as insufficient promotion, a weakened agrotourism image, and inadequate tourism facilities. To address these issues, a rebranding strategy centered on community empowerment is proposed. Key initiatives include engaging the younger generation in programs like the "Child of Seven Charm" (ASAP) and ecobrick activities to promote environmental awareness, improving tourism infrastructure, creating an integrated tourism map, and optimizing digital platforms such as social media and the Paloh Naga Agrotourism website. These efforts not only restore the village’s image but also increase its visibility and tourist appeal. The urgency of this research lies in the need to revitalize Kampoeng Lama’s tourism potential and address the socio-economic challenges following the decline in its image. The novelty of this study is its focus on a community-driven rebranding approach that integrates environmental awareness and modern marketing strategies. This research contributes a replicable model for restoring and sustaining tourism in rural destinations, ensuring economic growth, environmental preservation, and cultural resilience.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Sapta Pesona values in tourism services in the Kampung Lama Tourism Village and identify challenges and obstacles in implementing Sapta Pesona values. Research was conducted on the topic of smart villages using a qualitative approach, where the resource persons were Pokdarwis or tourism awareness groups in the Kampung Lama Tourism Village. The technique for obtaining informants in this research was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of Sapta Pesona in the Kampung Lama tourist village has been implemented well, but it is still not running optimally so there is still a need for development related to the application of the 7 elements of Sapta Pesona. There are obstacles in implementing Sapta Pesona in the Kampung Lama tourist village where these obstacles come from internal Pokdarwis, local communities and the village government. This obstacle is in the form of a lack of public knowledge in waste management.

Abstract

Wisata kuliner menawarkan daya tarik wisata yang menarik tersendiri dimana wisata kuliner merupakan strategi yang baik dalam pengenmbangan pariwisata. Kuliner tradisional merupakan salah satu daya tarik wisata yang memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung perkembangan sektor pariwisata. Makanan khas Batak, dengan keunikan rasa dan kearifan lokal yang terkandung di dalamnya, memiliki peluang untuk menjadi salah satu unggulan destinasi wisata di kawasan Sumatera Utara. Beberapa contoh dari kuliner khas Batak adalah Ikan arsik, Saksang, Natinombur, dan lainnya. Terdapat pula minuman khas Batak yang khas dari daerah ini sendiri yaitu Tuak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan Destinasi Wisata Kuliner Tradisional Batak guna meningkatkan daya tarik wisata. Dengan pendekatan Kualitatif dan analisis SWOT, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi, tantangan serta langkah - langkah strategis yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh berbagai pemangku kepentingan, termasuk pemerintah daerah, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil dan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan destinasi kuliner tradisional Batak dapat dilakukan melalui peningkatan kualitas produk kuliner, promosi berbasis digital, kolaborasi lintas sektor, serta pelestarian budaya lokal. Pengembangan Destinasi Wisata Kuliner ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat identitas budaya, menarik lebih banyak wisatawan, serta memberikan dampak ekonomi yang positif bagi masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the tourism management system in Suka Makmur Village, Deli Serdang Regency, from three main perspectives: social, economic, and environmental.. Research methods: The research was conducted in Suka Makmur Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and questionnaires administered to tourists and local residents. Results and discussion: The findings indicate that, from an economic perspective, tourism management has positively contributed by increasing income, creating jobs, and fostering micro-business growth, although product diversification and promotional effectiveness still require improvement. From a social perspective, community participation is relatively high in operational management and communal activities, yet the involvement of youth and enhancement of managerial capacity remain necessary. Environmentally, some ecotourism principles have been implemented, including nature conservation and cleanliness efforts, though waste management and environmental education need strengthening. The SWOT analysis identified weaknesses such as limited infrastructure and promotion, challenges including fluctuating visitor numbers and environmental degradation risks, and opportunities in developing culture-, nature-, and culinary-based products. Implication: Recommendations include enhancing digital promotion strategies, diversifying tourism products, strengthening community roles, and fully integrating ecotourism principles
