Abstract

This research explores the meaning, meaning, and essence of the philosophy of science as well as the relevance of epistemology in the dynamics of modern knowledge. Philosophy of science plays a key role in shaping a critical, systematic, and rational scientific thinking framework. In the era of rapid development of science and technology, the philosophy of science serves as the basis for distinguishing legitimate scientific knowledge from pseudoscience. In addition, the philosophy of science helps direct the development of knowledge by emphasizing the importance of valid and reliable scientific methods. Epistemology, as a branch of the philosophy of science that studies theories of knowledge, also plays a key role in assessing the validity and reliability of information, especially in the digital age where misinformation and disinformation are often widespread. With a qualitative approach based on literature study, this study examines the role of philosophy of science in supporting the development of science and technology and the importance of the epistemological framework in keeping scientific integrity. The results of this study show that the philosophy of science not only serves as a theoretical foundation, but as a practical tool to face modern challenges in science, including artificial intelligence and big data.

Abstract

Education is essential in shaping human life, acting as a strategic instrument for fostering character and nurturing individual potential. This research aims to obtain a complete and comprehensive concept of education regarding the actual education that Allah regulates in Islam and is contained in the verses of the Al-Quran that the author chose. In the realm of Islamic education, the emphasis goes beyond mere intellectual growth, highlighting the significance of moral integrity and spiritual depth. This article delves into the management of Islamic education, which includes various contexts such as formal, informal, and non-formal settings, including family education, pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), and majelis ta'lim (study circles). Effective management of Islamic education necessitates a thorough understanding and skill set to apply its principles successfully. Furthermore, this article discusses the vital role of the Qur'an and Hadith as foundational sources for Islamic education and management, stressing the importance of ongoing interpretation to adapt to the evolving times and circumstances.

Abstract

This study discusses the thinking and educational leadership model of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Bantani, one of the great scholars of the archipelago who made an important contribution to the spread of Islam and the development of education. The subject matter of this study highlights the concept of education that emphasizes the balance between science, charity, and morals, as well as its relevance to the challenges of Islamic education in the era of globalization. The purpose of this research is to elaborate on Sheikh Nawawi's pedagogical ideas, including his views on the nature of Islamic education, the purpose of seeking knowledge, learning methods, and the leadership model he inherited. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach through library research. Data were obtained from Sheikh Nawawi's works, previous research, and related literature that were analyzed using a phenomenological approach. This allows the author to reflect on the events and thoughts of Sheikh Nawawi in the context of the implementation of Islamic education. The results of the study show that education according to Sheikh Nawawi is worship as well as a means of social reform based on the Qur'an, hadith, ijma' ulama, and the view of salaf al-salih. His leadership model is characterized by the depth of knowledge, integration of theory and practice, moral example, interactive methods, and fostering a generation of character and independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komparatif dua arketipe kepemimpinan dominan dalam lanskap pendidikan Indonesia: kepala sekolah yang birokratis dan kiai pesantren yang karismatis. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk membongkar sumber legitimasi, paradigma kepemimpinan, dan kerentanan struktural yang inheren pada masing-masing model. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis komparatif kritis berbasis studi literatur sistematis. Kriteria inklusi mencakup artikel jurnal dan laporan penelitian yang dipublikasikan antara 2018-2024 dan secara eksplisit membahas kepemimpinan, manajemen, atau kebijakan di sekolah formal dan pesantren. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi, mengkodekan, dan menyintesis tema-tema kunci yang relevan dengan kerangka penelitian. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa legitimasi kepala sekolah yang bersumber dari negara melahirkan ketergantungan pada birokrasi dan kerentanan terhadap patronase politik, yang menghambat inovasi. Sebaliknya, legitimasi kiai yang berbasis kharisma personal dan komunitas menciptakan otonomi namun rentan terhadap krisis suksesi yang mengancam keberlanjutan institusional. Kepemimpinan Nyai teridentifikasi sebagai pilar penopang stabilitas dan agen pemberdayaan gender. Perlunya de-birokratisasi dan de-politisasi rekrutmen kepala sekolah serta fasilitasi pemerintah untuk mendorong perencanaan suksesi yang sehat di pesantren. Secara praktis, pemimpin di kedua sistem didorong untuk mengadopsi model kepemimpinan hibrida. Keterbatasan utama penelitian ini adalah ketergantungannya pada data sekunder (literatur), sehingga tidak menangkap dinamika spesifik dari konteks lapangan yang tidak terdokumentasi.
