Abstract

Interest and motivation for mathematics lessons is still very low, students consider mathematics to be a difficult and abstract subject, so they have difficulty understanding it. The approach to teaching mathematics which is often focused on memorizing formulas or abstract concepts makes students feel burdened, even tend to be afraid of this lesson. As a solution to this problem, the use of basic mathematics comic media with the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach or Responsive Learning to Culture is expected to improve students' literacy, numeracy, and understanding of mathematics lessons. The method of implementing KOMIKDAS activities is divided into three stages, namely planning, implementation, and reporting. After the introduction of KOMIKDAS learning media took place, student learning outcomes increased by up to 90% from the results of the pretest and post-test tests given. In addition to increasing grades, children's attitudes towards mathematics learning also changed. This can be seen from the response to learning activities with a pleasant learning atmosphere due to the use of interesting learning media, namely through comics with the language and culture of everyday students. For further activities, it is suggested that comic media be developed with a wider variety of materials and difficulty levels to suit the abilities of all students. Teachers also need to be more actively involved through short training so that this media can be used sustainably in daily learning. In addition, stories in comics can raise more local values ​​and culture to strengthen students' sense of pride in their Keywords: Literacy, Numeracy, Mathematics Comics and CRT Approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang didukung oleh media interaktif YouTube dan Quizizz pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel di kelas IX Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 peserta didik kelas IX G Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes, yang dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media interaktif. Pada siklus kedua, hasil belajar matematika peserta didik meningkat secara signifikan dan memenuhi indikator keberhasilan penelitian. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas IX G Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Sungguminasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis media interaktif youtube dan Quizizz pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel di kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subyek yang menerima tindakan adalah peserta didik kelas IX G SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi SPLDV. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik pada siklus satu, namun peningkatan tersebut belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan penelitian sehingga tindakan dilanjutkan di siklus 2. Pada siklus 2, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dan sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan penelitian. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang semula pada siklus I mencapai 66,67% (24 peserta didik tuntas) menjadi 94,44% pada siklus II (34 peserta didik tuntas). Simpulan, model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IX G SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa.
