Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of digital learning media on students' motivation by analyzing findings from various credible journal articles. As technology advances, digital tools have become a crucial component of modern education. The research employs a systematic literature review method, synthesizing empirical evidence from recent educational journals. The results indicate that digital learning media—such as e-learning platforms, educational videos, interactive applications, and digital simulations—significantly enhance students' motivation by providing dynamic, engaging, and accessible learning experiences. However, its effectiveness depends on factors like teachers' technological proficiency, infrastructure availability, and students' readiness for digital-based learning. The study concludes that while digital learning media holds great potential in boosting motivation, its successful implementation requires appropriate teaching strategies and adequate support systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Human Development Index (HDI) and unemployment rate on economic growth in North Sumatera and the broader Sumatera Island region during 2019–2024 using panel data. Regression analysis with EViews 12 was conducted, testing Common Effect, Fixed Effect, and Random Effect models. The best model was selected based on Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests, followed by classical assumption checks. Results indicate that HDI does not significantly influence economic growth due to time lags, mismatch between graduate skills and market needs, low quality of education and health, and dominance of traditional sectors. Conversely, the unemployment rate has a significant negative effect, with a 1% increase in unemployment causing a 2.33% decrease in economic growth. Simultaneous tests confirm that HDI and unemployment together significantly affect growth, explaining 36% of its variation, while other factors like investment and inflation account for the remainder. The study recommends integrated development policies focusing on improving human resource quality and reducing unemployment to support more inclusive economic growth in Sumatera.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Ekonomi Digital di Universitas Negeri Medan, di mana 72% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran masih bersifat monoton dan kurang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan, kepraktisan, serta efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis Escape Room Digital sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE, melibatkan 50 mahasiswa pada tahap analisis kebutuhan, dua ahli sebagai validator materi dan media, enam mahasiswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil, serta 36 mahasiswa pada uji coba kelompok besar. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media sangat layak digunakan, dengan skor 92% dari ahli materi dan 96% dari ahli media. Uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh kepraktisan 84,6%, sedangkan uji coba kelompok besar meningkat menjadi 89,2% setelah revisi. Evaluasi efektivitas menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar, dari nilai pretest 62% menjadi 84% pada posttest, dengan nilai N-Gain 0,58 kategori sedang–tinggi. Dengan demikian, media Escape Room Digital dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif sebagai inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.
