Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to raise awareness and understanding among members of the Al Mujahidin Mosque Taklim Council in Gantar Village, Indramayu, about the importance of environmental preservation and cultural diversity through counseling methods and active interaction. The main issues addressed are the low awareness of household waste management and the importance of preserving local cultural diversity. This program was conducted using counseling, question-and-answer sessions, and hands-on practice, focusing on the application of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and strengthening the values of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and communal work (kerja bakti). The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of household waste management, the utilization of inorganic waste into economically valuable products, and the importance of preserving local culture. Positive responses from participants were evident through their enthusiasm during the counseling and hands-on practice sessions. It is hoped that this program will have a sustainable impact on maintaining environmental sustainability and strengthening social and cultural relationships in the Gantar Village community. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi seberapa baik sumber belajar digital mengajarkan siswa sekolah dasar tentang konstruksi spasial. Multimedia interaktif, video dan animasi digital, augmented reality, virtual reality, dan pembelajaran berbasis permainan merupakan beberapa sumber pembelajaran digital yang dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library study), yaitu pengumpulan data dan informasi dengan melihat berbagai sumber terkait, antara lain buku, jurnal, dan makalah ilmiah. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap materi bangunan spasial meningkat secara signifikan dengan penggunaan sumber belajar digital. Dibandingkan dengan pendekatan tradisional, sejumlah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan media digital untuk pembelajaran memiliki tingkat pengetahuan konseptual, motivasi belajar, dan keterlibatan dalam proses pembelajaran yang lebih tinggi. Temuan penelitian ini membantu penciptaan strategi pengajaran baru yang sejalan dengan kemajuan teknologi di era digital. Temuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjadi panduan bagi para peneliti dan pendidik yang ingin memasukkan teknologi digital ke dalam proses belajar mengajar. Abstract

The development of digital technology in the era of Society 5.0 has encouraged the education sector to adapt through the utilization of technology-based learning media, one of which is Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, the shift in learning paradigms from conventional to digital approaches often results in decreased student learning motivation if it is not accompanied by appropriate instructional strategies. This study aims to analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence as a learning medium in enhancing students’ learning motivation. The research method employed is a library research approach, examining various scientific journals, research articles, and academic sources relevant to the topics of AI and learning motivation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the use of AI as a learning medium such as chatbots, educational games, instructional videos, interactive quizzes, and AI-based adaptive media positively contributes to improving students’ learning motivation across various educational levels. AI is able to create learning experiences that are more engaging, interactive, personalized, and aligned with learners’ needs, thereby increasing interest, active participation, and learning persistence. Therefore, Artificial Intelligence can be regarded as a relevant and effective innovation in learning media to support the enhancement of students’ learning motivation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital book utilization on the literacy interest of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Literacy interest is an important foundation in shaping students’ academic success and critical thinking skills, especially in boarding school environments with limited access to printed reading materials. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 38 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through literacy interest tests administered before and after the intervention, as well as questionnaires to support quantitative findings. The data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, descriptive statistics, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The descriptive analysis indicated an increase in the average literacy interest score from 47.74 in the pretest to 52.97 in the posttest. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest results with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the utilization of digital books has a significant positive effect on improving students’ literacy interest. Therefore, digital books can be an effective alternative learning resource to foster literacy culture among elementary school students, particularly in boarding school settings.
