Abstract

Subsidized housing is a government program as an alternative for low-income communities so that the primary needs of the community such as housing are met, especially for people who are already married. One of the areas where subsidized housing is located is the Tanjung Morawa area, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. However, the problem for the community or employees who want to find a residence to live in the Tanjung Merowa area is the difficulty in determining a subsidized house that suits their wishes, such as comfort, housing price, house model, strategic location. The factor that makes it difficult for people to determine a residential house is because there is no knowledge or information about which subsidized house is the best according to the criteria to be occupied. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a method to analyze to determine the best subsidized house, the Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis Simple (MOORA) method is applied to analyze the decision support system to determine the best subsidized house in Tanjung Morawa, where the MOORA method is able to produce the best subsidized house based on the highest value or ranking, where the highest value is ranking 1 alternative 6, Mulia Residence housing.

Abstract

There are many innovations made to help students learn better due to advances in educational technology. One innovation is an automatic school bell application that has dynamic scheduling. This application aims to replace the manual bell system which often requires direct intervention from officers. With dynamic scheduling, schools can easily set schedules according to their needs, be it regular schedules or special schedules such as exams or other activities. The focus of this research is the design and development of an automatic school bell application that supports automatic bell time settings. With the dynamic scheduling feature, this system allows users to change or adjust the bell schedule without disrupting the lesson schedule or other important times. The implementation results show that this application works well and allows easy bell schedule settings and improves operational efficiency in the school environment. In addition, users will receive automatic notifications about schedule changes, which reduces errors or delays in ringing the bell. This application is expected to be a solution for schools that want to improve their time management and increase their operational efficiency.

Abstract

The Community Service Program in Bagan Deli Village focuses on educating fishermen about creating e-commerce websites using Google Sites. This initiative aims to increase community awareness of the importance of technology in improving access to information, supporting education, and improving living standards. Training and mentoring are conducted to empower the community to understand the basics of website development, which is expected to improve their economy. The program also encourages the provision of scholarships and regular education for local people, reduces unemployment, and strengthens the independence of fishing communities through technology and education.

Abstract

This community service program was held at Mayjend Sutoyo Vocational High School Medan with the theme “Express Your Imagination with Canva”. This activity aims to improve students' skills in graphic design using Canva as a tool to support creativity and digital marketing capabilities. The training involved lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice, focused on grade XII students. The results of the activity showed a positive response from participants, as well as a significant improvement in design skills. The program is expected to have a long-term impact in preparing students to enter the workforce with relevant digital skills.

Abstract

Microsoft Excel training for high school students at Sutomo 2 Medan High School aims to improve data analysis skills and digital literacy. In the growing digital era, the ability to use data processing software such as Excel has become very important. The program is designed to equip students with basic to intermediate skills, including the use of formulas, charting, and data analysis using Pivot Table. Through this training, students are expected to prepare themselves for the challenges of the world of work and further studies. In addition, this activity also benefits the school and community by supporting the development of information technology-based education. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in students' skills, which contributed to the quality of education and social welfare in the neighborhood.

Abstract

E-katalog perpustakaan adalah salah satu aplikasi yang membantu pengguna untuk mencari koleksi buku atau informasi perpustakaan dengan lebih efisien melalui sistem berbasis elektronik. Salah satu tantangan dalam pengembangan e-katalog adalah meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi dalam pencarian data, khususnya dalam pencocokan string (teks) yang digunakan untuk mencari informasi katalog. Algoritma Knuth-Morris-Pratt (KMP) merupakan salah satu algoritma pencocokan string yang efisien untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan algoritma KMP dalam sistem e-katalog perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan performa pencarian data dan meminimalkan waktu respons. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Algoritma knuth morris pratt dapat membantu mempercepat pencocokan string, sehingga memperbaiki waktu respons dan efisiensi sistem pencarian data. Dengan demikian, penerapan algoritma ini dapat menjadi solusi yang baik dalam pengembangan e-katalog perpustakaan yang lebih cepat dan efisien.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR), adalah teknologi dengan konsep menggabungkan dimensi dunia nyata dengan dimensi dunia maya yang di tampilkan secara realtime. Smartphone memungkinkan pengembangan aplikasi Augmented Reality dengan murah serta dapat diakses oleh banyak pengguna. Augmented Reality dapat dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai bidang salah satunya adalah sebagai sarana pendidikan untuk anak–anak.Augmented Reality dapat digunakan untuk menciptakan sebuah lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dimana anak–anak dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan objek dunia maya sehingga anak–anak pun dapat bermain sambil belajar. Augmented Reality yang ditujukan kepada para guru dan orang tua sebagai alat pembelajaran untuk anak–anak usia dini. Aplikasi ini dibuat dengan Unity sebagai media pembuatan desainnya dan Vuforia SDK sebagai penyimpanan database markernya yang nanti nya saling berhubungandan berbasis Android. Aplikasi pengenalan jenis buah-buahan berbasis Augmented Reality dapat membaca marker pada kertas cetakan maupun kartu–kartu pengenalan jenis buah-buahan yang akan menampilkan model 3 dimensi di layar perangkat Android.

Abstract

Abstract – Higher education faces challenges in meeting evolving needs while existing e-learning systems often fail to adapt to these changes. The current open-source e-learning system cannot accommodate the dynamic requirements of students, faculty, and administrators, hindering the effectiveness of the learning process. This research aims to design and develop an adaptive e-learning system using the Scrum methodology to bridge the gap between existing systems and the changing demands of higher education. The goal is to create a system that can quickly adapt to changes, accommodate user needs, and enhance learning effectiveness. The study applies the Scrum methodology, which supports iterative and incremental development, enabling continuous user feedback and risk management. The research involves a needs analysis, system design, and prototype development, followed by usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to evaluate the system's usability and effectiveness. The usability testing results show that the prototype system received neutral evaluations, indicating that while it provides a functional solution, further refinements, and additional iterations are necessary to fully meet user expectations. This study contributes to the understanding of how adaptive e-learning systems can be developed using Scrum and how they can be improved to better support the transformative goals of higher education in Indonesia. Keywords: E-learning, Ishikawa Diagram, Scrum, System Usability Scale (SUS), User Engagement Abstrak – Pendidikan tinggi menghadapi tantangan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan yang terus berkembang sementara sistem pembelajaran yang ada sering kali gagal beradaptasi dengan perubahan ini. Sistem pembelajaran sumber terbuka yang tersedia saat ini tidak dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan dinamis mahasiswa, fakultas, dan administrator, sehingga menghambat efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem pembelajaran elektronik adaptif menggunakan metodologi Scrum untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara sistem yang ada dan tuntutan pendidikan tinggi yang terus berubah. Tujuannya adalah untuk menciptakan sistem yang dapat dengan cepat beradaptasi dengan perubahan, mengakomodasi kebutuhan pengguna, dan meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menerapkan metodologi Scrum, yang mendukung pengembangan iteratif dan inkremental, yang memungkinkan umpan balik pengguna dan manajemen risiko yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, dan pengembangan prototipe, diikuti oleh pengujian kegunaan menggunakan Skala Kegunaan Sistem (SUS) untuk mengevaluasi kegunaan dan efektivitas sistem. Hasil pengujian kegunaan menunjukkan bahwa sistem prototipe menerima evaluasi netral, yang menunjukkan bahwa meskipun memberikan solusi fungsional, penyempurnaan lebih lanjut, dan iterasi tambahan diperlukan untuk sepenuhnya memenuhi harapan pengguna. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang bagaimana sistem e-learning adaptif dapat dikembangkan menggunakan Scrum dan bagaimana sistem tersebut dapat ditingkatkan untuk lebih mendukung tujuan transformatif pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: E-learning, Diagram Ishikawa, keterlibatan pengguna, Scrum, System Usability Scale (SUS).

Abstract

One technique to improve connection stability in a network is to use more than one Internet Service Provider (ISP). To make this possible, a load balancer is needed. Examples of load balancers are Per Connection Classifier (PCC) and Equal Cost Multi-Path (ECMP). However, both load balancers have drawbacks, where if there is an overload in one ISP line resulting in an imbalance in bandwidth usage, the two load balancers divert all traffic to another ISP. This study analyzes the performance of several load balancing techniques when applied to Mikrotik to maximize traffic flow with dual lanes. The experiment was carried out by applying the PCC, ECMP load balancer on the internet network. The independent parameters observed were throughput, jitter, and delay. The Fuzzy method will choose the ISP that will forward the data with the optimum bandwidth, because this method takes into account the amount of data that will be sent to the gateway through the ISP. The results of the measurement of Quality Of Service (QoS) network performance parameters such as throughput, jitter and delay with PCC and ECMP methods between ISP1 and ISP2 are throughput 22113.58 Kbps, Jitter 63.79 ms, delay 0.000578 ms. While in Utami's research (2017) with the PCC method, measuring Throughput is 2.9 Kbps, Delay is 135.25 ms and Jitter is 65.25 ms.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, increasingly fierce competition in the world of work encourages companies to choose employees who not only have high academic qualifications, but also intelligence that matches job demands. Therefore, this research aims to develop and analyze the application of Intelligence Tests (Psychotest) as an effective job application assessment tool. System analysis and design methods are used to design applications that can measure various aspects of intelligence, including verbal, numerical and spatial intelligence. The analysis stage involves an in-depth understanding of the company's needs in assessing applicant intelligence. Meanwhile, the design stage includes the design of an intuitive user interface, an efficient database structure, and a valid and reliable intelligence measurement algorithm. This application is designed to be accessed online so that applicants can take intelligence tests anytime and anywhere. By using the latest security technology, applicant data security is guaranteed during the testing process. In addition, this application will provide test results automatically and present reports that are clear and easy to understand for companies. Through the application of the Test Intelligence application, it is hoped that companies can identify prospective employees who not only have technical qualifications, but also intelligence that matches the characteristics of the job being offered. Thus, this application is expected to make a positive contribution in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process, ensuring appropriate employee selection, and ultimately improving company performance and productivity.
