Abstract

This study aims to implement game-based learning in the equivalency program at PKBM Al-Ikhram, focusing on the use of Wordwall game media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that game-based learning is effective in increasing students' motivation, enthusiasm, and understanding of the material. Learning using Wordwall games not only makes the learning process more interactive and enjoyable, but also helps students improve their numeracy and literacy skills. This positive impact is seen in the increase in student learning outcomes in formative and summative tests. However, this implementation faces challenges such as limited access to technology and the need for training for students and teachers. Overall, game-based learning is a relevant and effective alternative in improving the quality of non-formal education in equivalency programs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of life skills in life skills training activities at LKP Karya Prima. The method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection through closed questionnaires given to 20 active training participants. Data analysis was carried out using percentage techniques to identify the proportion of each life skills indicator. The results showed that vocational skills were the most dominant aspect with a percentage of 31%, followed by personal skills at 24%, academic skills at 23%, and social skills at 22%. This finding shows that the development of life skills at LKP Karya Prima emphasizes vocational skills, but still pays attention to personal, academic, and social aspects in a balanced manner. The four indicators complement each other in forming the participants' life skills as a whole

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan memahami peran Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Hidroponik Siagian Junior dalam memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat mengenai metode pertanian hidroponik. LKP ini berlokasi di Gg. Pribadi No.8, Pasar Merah Timur, Kecamatan Medan Area, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. Hidroponik merupakan teknik budidaya tanaman tanpa tanah yang mengandalkan air bernutrisi sebagai media utama. Dalam pelaksanaannya, LKP Hidroponik Siagian Junior menawarkan berbagai program pelatihan yang dirancang secara teoritis dan praktis, guna meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan peserta dalam membudidayakan tanaman secara hidroponik. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui bentuk kegiatan, metode pelatihan, fasilitas yang disediakan, serta dampak yang dirasakan oleh peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, ditemukan bahwa metode pembelajaran bersifat interaktif dan aplikatif, yang menggabungkan teori dan praktik langsung di lapangan. LKP ini juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas penunjang seperti greenhouse, instalasi hidroponik (NFT, DFT, Wick System), media tanam (rockwool, arang sekam), serta ruang kelas diskusi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKP Hidroponik Siagian Junior mampu memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pertanian ramah lingkungan melalui metode hidroponik.
