Abstract

In Indonesia, English has been integrated into the educational system, yet it remains a foreign language with limited exposure outside the classroom, posing challenges to effective language acquisition. This study examines the feasibility of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) as an alternative pedagogical approach in Indonesian classrooms to address these challenges. Utilizing a qualitative case study, this study analyzes teacher-student interactions and engagement during TBLT’s pre-task, task cycle, and language focus phases. The findings indicate that TBLT offers a balance between grammar instruction and communicative competence, making it a viable approach within Indonesia’s educational constraints. Anticipated challenges, such as class size, student reluctance, and curriculum alignment, can be mitigated through teacher training, the use of engaging tasks, and developed materials. This study suggests that TBLT, particularly its weak version, aligns well with the Indonesian context, where it has the potential to foster language skills while accommodating curriculum requirements

Abstract

This study aims to improve the performance of the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm in classifying public reviews of Batik Madura through optimizing the K value using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Public reviews collected from the Google Maps platform are used as a dataset, with positive, negative, and neutral sentiment categories. Optimization of the K value is carried out to overcome the constraints of KNN performance, which is highly dependent on the K parameter, with PSO providing a more efficient approach than the grid search method. However, PSO also presents challenges such as sensitivity to parameter tuning and potential computational overhead. This study has succeeded in developing a web-based system using the Python Streamlit framework, which makes it easy for users to access sentiment analysis results. Testing shows that optimizing the K value with PSO increases the accuracy of KNN to 88.5% with an optimal K value of 19. However, this accuracy is not compared to other optimization techniques, leaving its relative advantage unverified. The results are expected to help Batik Madura entrepreneurs in evaluating public perception and guiding strategic innovations. Research outputs include a prototype, intellectual property registration, and journal publication, although the role of deep learning models is only briefly noted without further development.

Abstract

K.H. Munawwar bin Ahmad Ghazali Al-Banjari atau yang biasa dikenal dengan sebutan Guru Kubah salah seorang mursyid tarekat Sammaniyah menjelaskan, bahwa doa yang diwasiatkan Syekh Samman Al-Madani ini akan hasil fadilatnya jika diiringi dengan pengamalan (penerapan) nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terkandung di dalam doanya. Namun faktanya, kebanyakan orang sering salah paham, mereka mengira doa itu hanya cukup dibaca setiap hari selesai sholat subuh, terus diabaikan saja dan tidak diamalkan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, studi literatur, dan penelusuran online, serta dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis konten. (conten analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam doa wasiat Syekh Samman Al-Madani menurut pemikiran K.H. Munawwar bin Ahmad Ghazali Al-Banjari secara terperinci ada tiga belas dan dikelompokkan menjadi tiga kategori berdasarkan sudut pandangnya: 1) Nilai Pendidikan I’tiqodiyah: Beriman kepada Allah Al-Ghaffaar, Ar-Rahmaan dan Ar-Rahiim, As-Sittiir, dan Al-Jabbaar. 2) Nilai Pendidikan Amaliyah: Beristighfar, bersedekah, menjauhi gibah, dan menuntut ilmu. 3) Nilai Pendidikan Khuluqiyah: Bersifat pemaaf, kasih sayang, pendiam, dan sabar.
