Abstract

The background of the researcher taking this research topic is because he is interested in studying international conflicts that have occurred and as an additional reference in the world of literature. The purpose of this study is to reveal the forms of political hegemony and power that exist in Ahmad Syauqi's poetry, namely Al Inqilabi Al-Uthmani wa Suquuthi Sulthan Abdul Hamid based on Antonio Gramsci's perspective of hegemony theory and to find the counter-hegemony that existed during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid. II. The type of research method used is a qualitative and descriptive research method using a sociological approach. The primary data source used in this research is a poem from a collection of diwans entitled "syauqiyyat", and in it, there are 151 poetry titles. His poem is entitled "Al-Inqilabi Al-Uthmani wa Suquuthi Sulthan Abdul Hamid" by Ahmad Syauqi, while the secondary data sources used are references relevant to the research topic. Data collection techniques used include reading, translation, and note-taking techniques, while the data analysis theory used is the content method. The results obtained describe that (1) There are forms of political hegemony and power over political society and civil society. The following details are found in the political community. There are strategies to attack opponents, threats to subordinates made by superiors, arrangements for maintaining power, and surrender to the authorities. Meanwhile, the application of the form of hegemony in civil society found three forms, namely the government in full power, resistance by discriminated parties, and unilateral decision making by the authorities; (2) This study also reveals the process of counter-hegemony that accompanied the Ottoman coup and the ouster of Sultan Abdul Hamid II found in Ahmad Syauqi's poem, which includes three types of resistance, namely active resistance in the form of demonstrations and coercion of will carried out by the Midhat. Pasha and his colony, passive resistance in the form of negotiation events carried out by Sultan Abdul Hamid II and humanistic resistance by praying and complaining about all actions to Allah SWT by Sultan Abdul Hamid II.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui strategi pengajaran kosakata dengan menggunakan (strategi bernyanyi). Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah (1) bagaimana proses strategi pengajaran kosakata bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan strategi bernyanyi, (2) bagaimana efektivitas penggunanan strategi pengajaran kosakata bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan strategi bernyanyi. Desain Penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi eksperimental. Populasi dalam peneltian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa progam Studi PBA di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, adapun sampel yang diambil dari populasi tersebut adalah mahasiswa Program Studi PBA kelas B-4 UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) proses strategi pengajaran kosakata bahasa Arab dengan strategi bernyanyi yaitu aktivitas pra instruksional, petunjuk isi dan pembelajaran. Partisipasi peserta didik, penilaian, aktifitas timbal balik (2) efektifitas strategi pengajaran bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan strtegi bernyanyi menunjukkan nilai t-test lebih kecil daripadda t-tabel 0,243< 2, 0639, nilai t-test 0,243 itu berada diantara nilai interval konfidensi perbedaan, yaitu nilai tertinggi 1,901 dan nilai terendah 1,501 serta nilai signifikansi 0,810 yang mania lebih kecil dari t-table yaitu 2,0639 Abstract This reserach elaborates on the teaching strategy of Arabic vocabulary by using the song. The research problems are: (1) what is the process of the teaching strategy of Arabic vocabulary by using the song; and (2) what is the effectiveness of the teaching strategy of Arabic vocabulary by using the song. The design of this study is experimental study. The population of this research is all students in PPBA UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and the sample of this research is all students in class B-4 PPBA UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The result of this study is: (1) the process of the teaching strategy of Arabic vocabulary by using the song consist of several stages. They are pre instructional activities, content and learning guidance, learner participation, assessment, and follow-through activities; (2) the effectiveness of the teaching strategy of Arabic vocabulary by using the song is the value of t-test is smaller than t-table 0,243 < 2,0639, the value t-test 0,243 is between the value of confidence interval of the difference, upper 1,901 and lower -1,501, and signified value is 0,810 < t-table is 2,0639. ملخص ويوضح هذا البحث التركيز في استراتيجية التدريس للمفردات العربية باستخدام الأغنية. وأما مشكلة البحث فهي: أولا، ما هي عملية إستراتيجية التدريس للمفردات العربية باستخدام الأغنية؛ وثانيا؛ ما هي فعالية استراتيجية التدريس للمفردات العربية باستخدام الأغنية. ويكون تصميم هذه الدراسة من نوع الدراسة التجريبية. أما مجتمع البحث لهذا البحث هو جميع الطلاب في قسم تعليم اللغة العربية بجامعة مولانا مالك إبراهيم الإسامية الحكمومية مالانج، والعينة من هذا البحث هو جميع الطلاب في الصف B-4 قسم تعليم اللغة العربية بجامعة مولانا مالك إبراهيم مالانج. والنتائج من هذه الدراسة هي: (1) عملية إستراتيجية التدريس للمفردات العربية باستخدام الأغنية تتكون من عدة مراحل. وهي أنشطة تعليمية سابقة، ومحتوى وإرشادات تعليمية، ومشاركة للمتعلم، وتقييم، وأنشطة متابعة. (2) أما فاعلية إستراتيجية التدريس للمفردات العربية باستخدام الأغنية هي قيمة اختبار t أصغر من t-تابل 0،243 <2،0639، قيمة t-تيست 0،243 بين قيمة فاصل الثقة في الفرق، العلوي 1،901 وأقل -1،501، وقيمة معترف بها هو 0،810 <t- الجدول هو 2،0639.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the structures of intransitive independent clauses in the film “Ḏīb” based on the perspective of Kenneth L. Pike’s tagmemic theory. This was a qualitative descriptive study. This study gathered data from an Arabic film entitled Ḏīb directed by Naji Abu Nowar. The data collection techniques used in this study were watching, translating, and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicated that there were four structures of intransitive independent clauses in the film “Ḏīb,” namely: (1) S + P consisted of three parts: The first was S + P. The second was the intransitive independent clause = NP + IVP. The third covered slot containing S + P, class which entailed NP + IVP, role that subsumed S + P, and cohesion without objects. (2) P + S + Adjunct (Adj – NP) comprised three parts. The first was P + S + Adj – NP. The second was the intransitive independent clause = IVP + NP1 + NP2. The third consisted of slot which contained P + S + Adj, class that subsumed IVP + NP1 + NP2, role which entailed P + S + Adj, and cohesion without objects. (3) P + S + Adjunct (Adj – PP) had three parts. The first was P + S + Adj – PP. The second was the intransitive independent clause = IVP + NP + PP. The third involved slot which entailed P + S + Adj, class that subsumed IVP + NP + PP, role comprised of P + S + Adj, and cohesion without objects. (4) S + P + Adjunct (Adj – AP) consisted of three parts. The first was S + P + Adj – AP. The second was the intransitive independent clause = NP + IVP + AP. The third comprised slot containing S + P + Adj, class which subsumed NP + IVP + AP, role consisting of S + P + Adj, and cohesion without objects.

Abstract

Case grammar is the result of generative and transformative grammatical faults in the form of a failure to explain the presence of the semantic function of nouns and their association with a verb. This research intends to: (1) disclose the modalities in Ihsan Abdul Quddus' book "Nasiitu Anni Imra'ah" from the viewpoint of Charles J. Fillmore; and (2) identify the proposition in Ihsan Abdul Quddus' novel "Nasiitu Anni Imra'ah" from the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore. This is qualitative descriptive research. The novel "Nasiitu Anni Imra'ah" by Ihsan Abdul Quddus served as the study's data source, and it portrays the story of a lady who aspires to be a political leader. Reading, translation, and note-taking approaches were employed to gather data in this study. In this study, the validation technique is divided into two stages: increasing persistence and peer discussion. The data analysis method is divided into three steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The findings of this study revealed that: (1) the modalities in the novel "Nasiitu Anni Imra'ah" by Ihsan Abdul Quddus based on the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore are the modality of tense and the modality of an adverb; and (2) the propositions in the novel "Nasiitu Anni Imra'ah" by Ihsan Abdul Quddus based on the perspective of Charles J. مستلخص أدى الخطأ النحوي التحويلي التوليدي في شكل عدم القدرة على تفسير وجود الدور الدلالي للاسم وارتباطه بالفعل إلى ظهور نظرية جديدة، وهي قواعد الحالة. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى اكتشاف الطرائق في رواية "نسيت أني امرأة" لإحسان عبد القدوس على أساس نظرية جرليس ج. فيلمور؛ وتحليل الجر في رواية "نسيت أني امرأة" لإحسان عبد القدوس على أساس نظرية جرليس ج. فيلمور. ونوع هذا البحث وصفي نوعي. ومصدر البيانات هو "نسيت أني امرأة" لإحسان عبد القدوس، والتي تحكي قصة امرأة تطمح إلى أن تصبح رائدة في المجال السياسي. وطريقة جمع البيانات هي تقنية القراءة وتقنية الترجمة وتقنية الكتابة وتقنية تحقق البيانات هي زيادة المثابرة والمناقشة بين الباحثين. نتائج هذه الدراسة هي: وجود نوعين من الطرائق في شكل طرائق الوقت وطرائق الظروف: ووجود أربعة أنواع من الحالات في شكل حالة وكيلة، وحالة موضوعية، وحالة تفسيرية، وحالة زمنية. الكلمات المفتاحية: إحسان عبد القدوس ؛ رواية؛ طرائق

Abstract

Fathul qorib which is part of the yellow book is a reference for knowledge in various school instutions, both madrasas and universities, including in the application of Arabic. To understand and study fathul qorib can apply maharah qiraah or reading skills with the discussion method. The research method that reseaerchers use is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research that the researcher found that students in the third semester of BK majoring in Arabic language and literature, Maulana State Islamic University Malik Ibrahim Malang by applying Fathul Qorib in maharah qira'ah and using the discussion method were able to read Arabic. This is seen from the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of students' learning while in class and the student response at the end of learning to the use of Fathul Qorib can help reading. So among the students asked that this research continue.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the modalities and propositions in the dialogues of the film entitled Jinniyāt Jabal Kumang based on case grammar theory from Charles J. Fillmore. This is a literary research that applied descriptive-qualitative method. The result of this study showed that from the dialogues there were found three types of time modalities, namely past, present and future; two forms of adverbial modality, i.e.: quantitative and frequency; an a negation modality. Meanwhile, the types of propositions found were the agentive, objective, source, goal, instrument, time, accompanying, benefactive, and locative cases. From the findings, it can be concluded that the case grammar analysis is applicable to Arabic sentence structure similar that of English and Indonesian language.

This research aims to compare the translation results of Google Translate and Microsoft Translator based on grammatical aspects devoted to fi'il ma’lum-majhul, zaman al-fi'l, and dhamir. This type of study is qualitative, comparative, and descriptive. The main source of data in this research is the novel Mughamarah Zahrah Ma'a Ash-Shajarah by Yacoub Al-Sharouni. Secondary data sources are literature related to Arabic grammatical rules, google Translate translation, and Microsoft translator. The data collection technique is translating a novel by a sentence from Arabic to Indonesian using Google Translate and Microsoft Translator and then recording it. Data validation techniques are performed by triangulation of data and time. Data analysis techniques use data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusions. The result of this research is that Google Translate produces good translations in terms of fi'il ma'lum-majhul. Google Translate and Microsoft Translator are inconsistent in translating zaman al-fi'l, while Microsoft Translator produces good translations in terms of dhamir.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal; 1) the structure and characteristics of the style of Isti'ârah (metaphor), 2)  causes of beauty and implications of using Isti'ârah on meaning in Yâsîn Fadhîlah based on the theoretical perspective of Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani. Researchers use descriptive qualitative research method by narrating the analysis of the object of study. The results showed some types of structure of Isti'arah al-Jurjani in verse and Yasin Fadhilah prayer, namely Isti'ârah which gives meaning benefit, Isti'ârah in verbs and nouns, Isti'ârah which similar form similarity, Isti'ârah whose form of similarity in the form of the meaning of nature, and Isti'ârah whose form of similarity is taken from the sensory and non-sensory delusion. The characteristics of Isti'ârah in Yâsîn Fadhîlah is the appointment of short, concise, hyperbolic style in showing the greatness of God as well as the conditions and torture of the unbelievers.

Abstract

Abstract. Fillmore is modern linguistic figure who pioneered the emergence of case grammar theory. He stated that case grammar is a new version of the theory modified from the old theory, namely generative transformation grammar. He developed case grammar after seeing a problem with the grammar of generative transformations. Thus, he declared that case grammar consists of two basic components: modality and proposition. In a line with this background, the purposes of this study are: (1) to reveal the modality in the film “Enola Holmes” based on the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore; (2) to reveal the preposition in the film “Enola Holmes” based on the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore. The type of this study is qualitative descriptive study. Data is in the form of conversation in the film. Thus, the data were taken through watching, listening, and note-taking techniques. The data was analyzed by using three steps. They are data reduction: researchers classified data based on elements of case grammar theory including modalities and propositions, data presentation: researchers displayed data in the form of the table in accordance of modalities and propositions, and interpreted data based on case grammar theory, and conclusion: researchers conducted data induction from interpretation results and ensured that the interpretation results fulfilled the elements of case grammar theory. The results show that the modality in the film “Enola Holmes” based on the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore consists of three modalities. They are tense modality, adverb modality, and negation modality. At the same time, the proposition consists of ten types. They are agentive case (A), experiential case (E), instrument case (I), objective case (O), source case (S), goal case (G), locative case (L), time case (T), companion case (CMP), and benefactive case (B). The results of this study strengthen Fillmore’s theory which states that as a part of sentence structures, modalities and propositions have types and forms and in the context of English film dialogue, the emergence of modalities and propositions is influenced by sentence structure used by the speaker in conveying his meaning.Keywords: Case Grammar, Film, Modality, Proposition
