Abstract

User reviews can vary widely in language and writing style, which can make accurate sentiment modeling difficult. Selecting the right machine learning model and comparing performance between models can be challenging, given that each model has its own strengths and weaknesses. The method used involved data collection by scraping 5000 reviews from the Google Play Store, followed by data pre-processing including data cleaning, tokenization, stemming, and feature engineering using TF-IDF. The data was divided into training (70%) and testing (30%) sets, with the SMOTE oversampling technique applied to address class imbalance. Three machine learning models were used: Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Naive Bayes. The results showed that the majority of reviews were positive, with a high average app rating. Word cloud analysis revealed that “service”, “driver”, “price”, and “time” were the most frequently discussed aspects in the reviews. In terms of model performance, SVM performed the best with an accuracy of 91.3%, followed by Random Forest (89%) and Naive Bayes (78%). Maxim was generally well received by users in Indonesia, with the majority of reviews being positive. The SVM model proved to be the most effective in classifying review sentiment, outperforming other models in accuracy and precision.

Abstract

Insurance is a contractual agreement between two parties, namely the insured party (customer) and the insurer (insurance company), in which the insured party pays a premium to the insurer, then in return, the insurer will provide compensation (claim) to the insured party if an insured event occurs. Each customer is required to pay a premium as an obligation stated in the insurance agreement by paying a premium, the customer fulfills his obligations and is entitled to the benefits stated in the policy. Therefore, the Insurance Company needs to carry out a scheme in the process of paying pure premiums for the sustainability of the insurance company. When determining the premium, it is done by estimating the aggregate loss distribution. This research will calculate thepure premium at the Purwakarta Branch of Jasa Raharja Insurance Company. The model used in this study is the distribution of aggregate loss with a compound distribution of claim frequency and claim size. Many claims follow the Poisson distribution and large claims follow the Lognormal distribution. In the process of estimating the probability of aggregate loss with the compound distribution model, the Inverse method with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm is used. This research will provide understanding and insight to insurance companies in determining the amount of premium that must be charged to customers.

Abstract

Competition in the market for traditional art products, such as Kelom Geulis, has become increasingly intense along with the growing public interest in aesthetically and culturally valuable items. This competition forces producers to develop effective marketing strategies to maintain their competitiveness. This study adopts a game theory approach to evaluate and formulate optimal marketing strategies between two major producers. The research method involves the use of questionnaires covering three main aspects: improving product quality, setting competitive prices, and enhancing customer service. Data analysis is conducted using a payoff matrix to determine the best strategies that can increase profits or reduce losses for each party. The results show that a saddle point is reached at a value of 4.57, where PT A achieves a profit increase from 4 to 4.57, while PT B reduces its loss from 6 to 4.57. This optimal strategy can be achieved if PT A prioritizes improving product quality and setting competitive prices, while PT B A prioritizes setting competitive prices and service quality enhancement. The implementation of these strategies has proven effective in strengthening the competitiveness of Kelom Geulis in the market. This study is expected to serve as a practical reference for Kelom Geulis producers to continuously adapt their marketing strategies, ensuring their relevance in the market and appealing to consumers

Abstract

HDI is a benchmark for a country in achieving human development in the country. Indonesia is a developing country with a relatively increasing HDI value every year. This shows that the efforts made by Indonesia are going well. However, Indonesia experienced a decrease in HDI value in 2019 towards 2020, due to restrictions on activities caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the HDI value in each province in Indonesia is uneven, even from the publication data of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows a significant difference in HDI value between provinces in Indonesia. So that evaluation and improvement are needed to be able to equalize and stabilize HDI in Indonesia. HDI value can be influenced by several factors including economy, education, and health. This study aims to determine the direct effect of economic variables on HDI, the direct effect of education variables on HDI, the direct effect of health variables on HDI, the indirect effect of education variables on HDI through economic variables and health variables. The data used in this study are data on the Human Development Index of economic, education and health variables along with the indicators that measure them, from 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2022. This study applies SEM-PLS to determine the factors that influence the Human Development Index (HDI). The results of this study indicate that economic variables and education variables have a direct influence on the Human Development Index (HDI), while health variables have no direct influence on the Human Development Index (HDI). Then the education variable through the economic variable has an indirect effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), and the education variable through the health variable has no indirect effect on the Human Development Index (HDI).

Abstract

This study examines the effect of nicotine, the main compound in cigarettes, on brain activity and function using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). Nicotine influences the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin, which affect various aspects of life, including learning, memory, alertness, and emotional balance. Dependence on nicotine can cause withdrawal symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Neurological research shows differences in brain activity in smokers and non-smokers, especially in the ventral (rostral anterior cingulate cortex, insula, opercular, and occipital gyrus) and dorsal (dorsal medial/lateral prefrontal cortex and dorsal anterior cingulate cortex) areas. Brain disorders are also associated with psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression and compulsive behavior. Apart from that, nicotine use can also affect the dopamine and serotonin systems, resulting in sleep disorders and emotional disorders in cigarette addicts.

Abstract

West Papua is recognized as one of the regions with the highest biodiversity globally. Alongside this natural richness, the indigenous communities in areas such as Bintuni Bay have developed traditional ecological knowledge that has allowed them to manage the environment sustainably. These practices are passed down through generations and are reinforced by customary laws, taboos, and cultural rituals that remain relevant in modern times. However, increasing pressures from modernization, land clearance for plantations, mining, and infrastructure projects are posing significant threats to these traditional practices and ecological sustainability. This study explores the role of indigenous knowledge in environmental management, examining the balance between resource exploitation and conservation, disaster mitigation strategies, and the protection of cultural heritage.
