Abstract

Penumpukan sampah organik, khususnya limbah makanan, menjadi tantangan serius bagi keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penguraian sampah makanan di tempat pembuangan menghasilkan gas metana, salah satu penyebab utama pemanasan global. Maggot, larva lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF), menawarkan solusi inovatif melalui kemampuannya mengolah sampah organik secara efisien. Maggot dapat mengurangi volume sampah hingga 55% dan menghasilkan produk bernilai ekonomi seperti biogas, pupuk organik, dan pakan ternak yang kaya protein. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilaksanakan di SDN 9 Nagrikaler, Kabupaten Purwakarta, melibatkan peserta didik, guru, dan mahasiswa. Proses meliputi pengumpulan sampah organik, budidaya maggot, hingga pemanfaatan hasilnya. Sampah organik rumah tangga digunakan sebagai pakan maggot, yang kemudian diolah menjadi pupuk organik dan pakan ternak alternatif. Tahapan budidaya mencakup pembuatan kandang maggot, pemberian pakan, dan pengawasan kondisi maggot. Hasil program menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mengurangi limbah organik, menghasilkan pupuk organik berkualitas, dan menyediakan pakan alternatif yang ekonomis untuk ternak seperti lele. Selain itu, program ini mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan limbah untuk mendukung kelestarian lingkungan. Sinergi antara pemanfaatan maggot sebagai pakan dan pupuk menciptakan sistem terpadu yang memberikan manfaat ekonomi sekaligus berkontribusi pada mitigasi perubahan iklim. Program ini menjadi model pengelolaan limbah organik yang berkelanjutan, mengintegrasikan manfaat ekologis dan sosial secara efektif.

Abstract

Digital learning is rapidly evolving and is increasingly recognized as essential, as it demonstrates adaptability in an era of rapid technological advancement. One area significantly influenced by this development is English education, which has benefited from various learning software and applications targeting the four core language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Among these, mastering speaking skills is crucial in English language learning. However, many students struggle with pronunciation. Engaging and interactive learning media can boost both motivation and learning outcomes. This study is a descriptive qualitative analysis that examines existing digital tools designed to support the development of speaking skills. Using content analysis, the study explores the use of Google Pronunciation, Duolingo, and Cake in teaching English speaking skills to elementary students. These applications provide interactive features and wide accessibility, allowing students to improve their pronunciation and speaking skills independently and in an enjoyable manner. Although these tools share the common goal of supporting English language learning, each has unique strengths and limitations depending on its features and platform. The findings suggest that these technologies can streamline the learning process and significantly enhance student outcomes, making English speaking practice more effective and enjoyable. This study offers an overview of how these digital tools contribute to the improvement of speaking skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

Creativity is an important aspect in child development. This article discusses the importance of coloring extracurricular activities in developing the creativity of grade V students at SDN 1 Nagri Tengah. This article uses qualitative research methods with observation techniques on class V students of SDN 1 Nagri Tengah. The research was conducted involving 30 5th grade students who were active in coloring extracurricular activities in several meetings. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and portfolio analysis. The research results showed a significant increase in students' creativity, especially in terms of color selection, depiction techniques, and self-expression. This activity also helps students improve concentration and perseverance. This research provides a deeper understanding of the importance of coloring extracurricular activities in basic education to facilitate the development of children's creativity.
