Abstract

Pembelajaran digital merupakan salah satu bukti bahwa pendidikan berkembang dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi. Pada faktanya, banyak sekolah yang sudah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis digital. Media pembelajaran digital merupakan media yang dirancang untuk menstimulus cipta, rasa dan karsa peserta didik dalam memahami pembelajaran. Contoh penggunaan media pembelajaran digital yaitu pengunaan e-learning yang sering dijumpai pada pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk menggambarkan masalah dan fokus penelitian. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini yaitu memberikan konsepsi pemanfaatan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis digital dalam mata pelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh yaitu pembelajaran berbasis digital dinilai membuat peserta didik dapat terlibat aktif dalam berkesplorasi serta memahami suatu materi. Penggunaan video animasi pada pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar merupakan contoh media pembelajaran berbasis digital yang memberikan pengaruh positif pada suasana pembelajaran sehingga dapat menumbuhkan pemahaman materi sesuai dengan kemampuan konsepsinya.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the importance of descriptive text writing skills that students must master to support learning. However, in reality, it turns out that students' descriptive text writing skills are still low. One of the causes of these low skills is that the learning model used by teachers is still a conventional teacher-centered model, so that students are not actively involved in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the influence and improvement through action in two different groups using four indicators of descriptive text writing skills. The experimental group used a Project Based Learning model assisted by MEGASI, and the control group used a cooperative learning model. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design and a sample of 42 people was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that the improvement in descriptive text writing skills of students in the experimental class was better than students in the control class. There is a positive influence in the use of the Project Based Learning model assisted by MEGASI is serial image media on the descriptive text writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman dalam proses pembelajaran siswa. Kendati demikian, seringkali siswa menghadapi tantangan yang mengganggu konsentrasi mereka dalam memahami teks, serta dapat mengurangi minat mereka dalam membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperiment Nonequivalent Control Group Design untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. PQ4R, didukung oleh media digital library, terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dalam teks naratif dibandingkan dengan metode CIRC yang diterapkan pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya dengan durasi yang lebih panjang serta eksplorasi pendekatan lain untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa.

Abstract

Digital learning is rapidly evolving and is increasingly recognized as essential, as it demonstrates adaptability in an era of rapid technological advancement. One area significantly influenced by this development is English education, which has benefited from various learning software and applications targeting the four core language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Among these, mastering speaking skills is crucial in English language learning. However, many students struggle with pronunciation. Engaging and interactive learning media can boost both motivation and learning outcomes. This study is a descriptive qualitative analysis that examines existing digital tools designed to support the development of speaking skills. Using content analysis, the study explores the use of Google Pronunciation, Duolingo, and Cake in teaching English speaking skills to elementary students. These applications provide interactive features and wide accessibility, allowing students to improve their pronunciation and speaking skills independently and in an enjoyable manner. Although these tools share the common goal of supporting English language learning, each has unique strengths and limitations depending on its features and platform. The findings suggest that these technologies can streamline the learning process and significantly enhance student outcomes, making English speaking practice more effective and enjoyable. This study offers an overview of how these digital tools contribute to the improvement of speaking skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the existence of mathematical problems, especially in students' creative thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of Realistic Mathematics Education approach assisted by magic straw learning media on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in grade V elementary school. This research used quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study were fifth grade students in Karawang Regency with a total sample size of 54 students. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the RME approach assisted by magic straw has a significant effect on mathematical creative thinking skills by comparing pre-test and post-test scores. The results obtained an effect of 47.8% while 52.2% was influenced by other factors. So that the RME approach can be used as an alternative solution to learning approaches in improving the mathematical creative thinking skills students.

Abstract

Penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris tidak serta merta hanya mengenal kosakata, namun siswa juga harus mampu untuk menuliskan, melafalkan, dan mengartikan. Pada kenyataan dilapangan, kemampuan Bahasa Inggris pada siswa masih belum optimal. Hal ini karena kurangnya penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris serta proses belajar yang cenderung monoton sehingga siswa tidak terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Game Based Learning menggunakan media Quizwhizzzer untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata Bahasa Inggris dibandingkan kelas yang menerapkan model tipe Picture and Picture. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment non-equivalent control group design, dengan pemerolehan data diambil dari soal pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh sebesar 21,5% dengan menerapkan model Game Based Learning berbantuan media Quizwhizzer terhadap kemampuan kosakata dan terdapat peningkatan yang lebih baik dibandingkan menggunakan model tipe Picture and Picture. Sehingga penerapan model Game Based Learning dengan memanfaatkan media Quizwhizzer dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris pada siswa SD.

Abstract

ABSTRACT English language skills are important in today's civilization. Schools are a good educational space to provide English subjects with the aim of improving and honing the English language skills of students. This happens, because the English language skills of Indonesian citizens are still low. Based on the results of preliminary observations of 6th grade students at SDS Kristen Pasundan, it shows that their reading comprehension skills in English are still lacking. Therefore, through this study aims to determine the activities of the application of the RADEC model assisted by Literacy Cloud media and determine the results of reading comprehension skills in English. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The results of this study showed that there was an increase in English reading comprehension skills from Cycle I - III. Keywords: RADEC Model, Literacy Cloud, Reading Comprehension ABSTRAK Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris menjadi hal yang penting di tengah peradaban saat ini. Sekolah menjadi ruang Pendidikan yang baik untuk menyediakan mata Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan serta mengasah kemampuan berbahasa Inggris peserta didik. Hal ini terjadi, karena kemampuan berbahasa inggris warga Indonesia masih rendah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal terhadap peserta didik kelas 6 di SDS Kristen Pasundan, menunjukkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman Bahasa Inggris masih kurang. Oleh karenanya, melalui penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivtas penerapan model RADEC berbantuan media Literacy Cloud dan mengetahui hasil kemampuan membaca pemahaman Bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman Bahasa Inggris dari Siklus I – III. Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the difference in the average improvement of reading comprehension skills among fifth-grade students in narrative text learning, comparing those taught using the Extending Concept Through Language Activities (ECOLA) method with those taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) method. This research employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 26 students from class VC and 26 students from class VD at SDN 1 Munjuljaya, Purwakarta. The results showed that students' reading comprehension skills improved by 58% after implementing the ECOLA method, with an interpretation category of "moderately effective." The influence of the ECOLA method supported by Literacy Cloud media on students' narrative text reading comprehension was 34.1%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ECOLA method supported by Literacy Cloud media is more effective in improving students’ reading comprehension of narrative texts compared to the DRTA method.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills in poetry among elementary school students. The aim of this research was to improve the poetry reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model supported by digital flipbook media based on FlipHTML5. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Data collection instruments included essay tests based on five reading comprehension indicators, teacher and student observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ poetry reading comprehension skills after implementing the CTL model with flipbook media. Based on these findings, the CTL model supported by flipbook media is effective as a learning strategy for enhancing poetry reading comprehension

Abstract

The background of the research was caused by the low level of students' simple sentence writing skills due to the use of less diverse learning models and media. The objectives of the study were 1) to determine the effect of the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model assisted by Canva media on students' simple sentence writing skills; 2) to determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by learning videos on students' simple sentence writing skills; and 3) to compare the increase in simple sentence writing skills of students who received the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model assisted by Canva media with students who received the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by learning videos. Students in class II B as the experimental class used the snowball throwing type cooperative model assisted by Canva media and the control class used the STAD type cooperative model assisted by learning videos, namely class II D was the sample in the study consisting of 25 students. The simple sentence writing skill test instrument and observation sheets were used in this study. The results obtained showed 1) there was an effect of the snowball throwing type cooperative model assisted by Canva media on students' simple sentence writing skills by 53%; 2) there is an influence of the STAD type cooperative model on students' simple sentence writing skills by 37.3%; and 3) the increase in students' simple sentence writing skills using the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model assisted by Canva media is better than students who receive the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by learning videos. It is recommended that teachers consider implementing this model as a writing teaching strategy with a more imaginative and modern approach.
