Analysis of Character Values in The Folklore of The Origin Kretek Industry Febrianti, Adhelia Putri; Velayali, Istifaiya; Resa Sirotun Hidayah, Eva; Mohammad Kanzunnudin

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and character values contained in the folklore "Asal-Usul Industri Kretek". The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The method was chosen because the data in this study are in the form of words written descriptively and not in the form of numbers. The source of data in this study is a folklore book entitled "The Origin of the Kretek Industry" contained in the East Coast Folklore book written by Mohammad Kanzunnudin and published by CV Adhigama in 2024 which totals 230 pages. Data in the form of fragments of the story "The Origin of the Kretek Industry". Data collection techniques use listening and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Milles & Huberman technique. The theory used in the structural analysis of folklore "Asal-Usul Industri Kretek" is Robert Stanton's Structuralism theory. Based on Robert Stanton's theory, the analyzed structure consists of story facts and literary means. In the structural part, the facts of the story contain theme, plot, character, and setting. The structure of literary means contains title, point of view, style and tone, symbolism, and irony. The theme in the story "Asal-Usul Indurtri kretek" is honesty and fortitude, the plot used is backward flow, and uses a third person point of view. The character values analyzed are the values contained in Permendikbud Number 20/2018 article 2 which contains five main character values, namely religious values, nationalism values, independent values, mutual cooperation values, and integrity values. These character values are shown from the sentences contained in the story. This research is expected to be able to become teaching material, especially to instill character values in students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability to use capital letters of grade 4 students at SD 1 Megawon by using learning videos. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with data collection techniques using tests. The population in this study were students at SD 1 Megawon while the sample in this study were 4th grade students of SD Megawon, consisting of 17 students, The data collection technique was using a test instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the average score of students' capitalization skills was 7.29 with a range of 4. Normality test shows that the data is normally distributed. The frequency distribution analysis per indicator showed that the indicators that were answered correctly the most by students were the beginning of sentences and names of people, while the indicators that were still difficult for students to master were the names of months and ethnic groups. Descriptive statistical analysis of exploration showed that the ability of female students was superior compared to male students in writing names of people, geographical names, and names of months.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze morphological level language errors in students' narrative essay texts. The method used is qualitative method. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, documentation of students' essays, and literature study. Documentation of narrative essays of 4th grade students of SD 1 Barongan which amounted to 6 essays. The data analysis technique consists of data collection, identifying language errors, explaining language errors, classifying, and evaluating language errors. The results showed that morphological errors that were mostly found in students' narrative essays were origin form errors.  This is because there are still some students who do not understand basic words. To overcome this, the solution offered by the homeroom teacher is to conduct learning with games. The learning method proved to be able to make it easier for students to remember vocabulary. This research is expected to be an input in the preparation of Indonesian language materials.
