Abstract

The utilization of mobile applications in the service sector has experienced significant growth, fueled by increased access to the internet and the use of smartphones. The M-TIX app, which provides online movie ticket booking services, is one example of an app that has become an important part of movie fans' routines. Despite its popularity, users have reported various issues related to usability and overall user satisfaction. In this study, we focus on the user experience of the M-TIX app by using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the user experience aspects. Through a structured qualitative approach, the UEQ enables an in-depth evaluation of six key dimensions of user experience, namely Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty. The study involved respondents predominantly aged between 17 to 21 years old, with the largest group being 20 years old (15 respondents), and most of them (26 respondents) were students. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable recommendations for improving the design and functionality of the M-TIX application, as well as increasing the understanding of the relationship between users' characteristics and their perceptions of user experience in the context of online movie ticketing applications. This research aims to address the existing problems and enhance user satisfaction by providing actionable insights.

Abstract

Abstract. This study presents a web-based system for identifying traditional herbal leaves using K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and image processing techniques focused on analyzing leaf shape and color. The dataset used consists of images of various types of herbal leaves, providing a basis for classification and medicinal benefit information retrieval. The system was tested with multiple leaf samples to assess accuracy, speed, and effectiveness in identifying leaf types based on visual characteristics. Results show that the system can recognize different types of herbal leaves and display information on their medicinal properties in a user-friendly interface..

Abstract

GoClass is a web-based application designed to simplify the classroom reservation process in higher education institutions. This study aims to design and implement a system that supports efficient scheduling, approval, and analysis of classroom usage. The system development follows the Agile Scrum methodology, which emphasizes team collaboration, short development iterations (sprints), and continuous user feedback, involving stages such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams—including use case, activity, and Class Diagram—were used to model system functionality and data flow. The main features developed include user authentication, real-time notifications, and room recommendations based on availability and capacity. The system also features an interactive dashboard that visualizes room usage trends, supporting data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

J-Pop music has become an important part of students’ lifestyles and plays a role in influencing their mood and learning productivity. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method by distributing an online questionnaire to 194 students who regularly listen to J-Pop while studying. Results showed that 69.8% of respondents felt their mood improved before studying when listening to this music, and 40.2% reported completing tasks more quickly. These findings indicate that J-Pop can serve as a positive stimulus to enhance motivation and focus during academic activities. However, its effects are subjective and highly dependent on individual preferences and study habits. Therefore, J-Pop has the potential to be part of an effective learning strategy if adapted to students’ personal characteristics and contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of considering psychological aspects when utilizing music as a learning aid to support students’ academic performance.
