Abstract

Dalam suatu proses pembelajaran, peserta didik merupakan salah satu komponen utama. Sehingga keberadaan mereka sangat penting untuk keberhasilan operasional sekolah. Dalam konteks persaingan dunia pendidikan yang semakin ketat, setiap lembaga pendidikan, termasuk SDN Tanjung Jati 2, menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan jumlah pendaftar baru. Lokasi sekolah yang berada di wilayah perumahan TNI menjadi salah satu kendala utama, karena akses sulit dijangkau oleh masyarakat di luar kompleks tersebut. Selain itu, sekolah ini belum menerapkan strategi penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) yang efektif dan beragam. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengusulkan strategi penerimaan peserta didik baru yang dapat diterapkan oleh SDN Tanjung Jati 2, guna mengatasi masalah dalam meningkatkan daya tarik sekolah bagi masyarakat umum. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif dengan subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 2 orang, diantaranya kepala sekolah dan guru wali UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati 2. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dengan menggunakan lembar instrumen wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi promosi, kualitas pendidikan, fasilitas, dan lokasi menjadi penentu utama daya tarik sebuah sekolah. Strategi promosi yang tepat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan daya saing sekolah, menarik minat calon siswa, serta meningkatkan kualitas dan profesionalitas manajemen sekolah. Macam-macam strategi promosi yang dapat dilakukan antara lain: pertama, melakukan kunjungan ke TK yang terletak di sekitar daerah tersebut, kemudian melalui sosial media dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat yang ingin mendaftarkan informasi lebih banyak mengenai sekolah, dan yang terakhir melalui website sekolah. Implementasi strategi yang tepat diharapkan mampu mendukung keberlanjutan operasional sekolah dan meningkatkan jumlah pendaftar baru secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the factors that cause students to be less active in learning mathematics and to find out whether there is an increase in student involvement after implementing the game method accompanied by giving rewards in the form of praise or physical forms in mathematics subjects. The research was conducted in class IV at SDN Nyormanis 2 using the classroom action research method. This method was implemented through cycles 1 and cycle 2. In cycle 1 the researchers used the quiz game method which was carried out in groups and accompanied by rewards in the form of praise and applause. Meanwhile, in cycle 2 the researchers used the quiz game method but individually and accompanied by giving rewards in the form of snacks. Each cycle found an increase in student involvement in the learning process after giving rewards. The percentage of activeness in cycle I increased compared to the pre-cycle, then the percentage of activeness in cycle II increased compared to cycle I. The factor causing students to be inactive in learning was students' lack of motivation towards the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of game methods with rewards is effective in increasing student involvement in mathematics subjects.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of Kahoot! in fostering fifth-grade students' learning interest at SDN Nyormanis 2. The study addresses the problem of low student interest, a crucial internal factor influencing academic success. Employing a quantitative approach with an experimental design, data was collected using a closed questionnaire. This instrument, based on a Likert scale (strongly agree (4), agree (3), disagree (2), strongly disagree (1)), measured student responses before and after Kahoot! implementation across indicators such as enjoyment, involvement, attraction, and attention. The findings indicate a significant increase in student learning interest: the average student category shifted from "medium" (50%) to "high" (63%) after using Kahoot!. This demonstrates that Kahoot! is effective in enhancing learning interest among fifth-grade students at SDN Nyormanis 2. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to innovate their teaching methods by incorporating engaging activities like games and quizzes using applications such as Kahoot!
