Abstract

Translation is a difficult scientific activity. The difficulty becomes even more complex when the translator does not find a way to overcome the problem. This means that the translator lacks mastery of translation theory. The scarcity of theoretical and practical studies on Arabic-Indonesian translation is a distinct issue in the world of Arabic-Indonesian translation. In turn, this leads to a low quality of translation. This study aims to analyze the practical patterns of translating Arabic into Indonesian, specifically in forms of meaning changes, such as narrowing, expansion, and omission of meaning. This research uses a qualitative research method with a literature review, namely collecting data by mastering concepts from various literatures that are associated with studies relevant to issues concerning practical patterns of Arabic-Indonesian translation. This research emphasizes the importance of a deep understanding of both languages, including linguistic and cultural aspects, in producing accurate and communicative translations. This study contributes to the field of translation studies by offering insights into effective strategies for overcoming the challenges of meaning shifts. These results are expected to serve as a guide for translators and academics in improving the quality of Arabic-Indonesian translation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the question-and-answer method in teaching speaking skills to students at the Manbaul Hikam Putat Tanggulangin Sidoarjo Islamic Boarding School and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative research method with a type of field research. The data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) The steps of learning using the question and answer method consist of initial activities, core activities and closing activities. 2) Supporting factors: Teachers master textbooks and learning methods well, there is a special dormitory for some students, and there is a language environment. Inhibiting factors: Teaching early grades requires extra effort because the teacher minimizes the use of the source language or mother tongue when speaking or explaining material to students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan agar masyarakat dapat dengan mudah mengetahui tentang terjemahan Isim Tafdhil. Penelitian ini berbentuk tinjauan pustaka, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menjelaskan kajian ilmu nahwu, yaitu terjemahan isim tafdhil. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti untuk mengumpulkan data adalah dengan membaca literatur mengenai penerjemahan isim tafdhil dari berbagai sumber. Jadi di sini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjemahan berarti: (1) Mempelajari leksikon, struktur tata bahasa, situasi komunikasi dan konteks bahasa sumber. (2) Penerjemahan adalah upaya untuk 'mengganti' teks bahasa sumber dengan teks yang setara dalam bahasa target. (3) Menganalisis teks bahasa sumber untuk menemukan maknanya, dan (4) Mengekspresikan kembali makna yang sama menggunakan leksikon dan struktur tata bahasa yang sesuai dengan bahasa target dan konteks budayanya. Bagi Isim tafdhil sendiri adalah isim musytaq yang berarti "lebih" dengan pola wazan أَفْعَلُ untuk mudzakar dan فُعْلَى untuk muannat. Abstract

The purpose of learining Arabic is to master all four language skills, listening, speaking, reading dan writing skills. Most students have difficulty to mastering writing skills. Difficulties in mastering writing skills were also felt by Sabilul Muttaqin High School students in Pungging Mojokerto. It can be seen from the Arabic test scores of students who still have not reached the KKM (Minimum Completation Criteria) 75. Based on these problems, researchers want to use tondo maker comic learning media to improve students’ writing skills in Arabic lessons. This study uses a quantitative method to determine the effectiveness of the comics tondo maker media to improve Arabic writing skills. This research was conducted at Sabilul Muttaqin Mojokerto High School with tenth grade as a sample 66 students. In an effort to collect data, researchers used the method of observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires and test. The results of this study indicate that the tondo maker comic media is effective in an effort to improve student writing skills based on the results of T count is 3,255 greater than T table, which is 2,30. From these results indicate that Ho is rejected and the results of sig Tailed 0.003 is smaller than 0.005 which indicates Ho’s rejection and Ha’s acceptance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of rewards on the motivation to learn Arabic in class VII B MTsN 4 Surabaya City and to assess the extent to which rewards contribute to increasing that motivation. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design, and data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire that had previously been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that rewards have a very strong relationship with learning motivation, indicated by a Pearson correlation value of r = 0.82. Simple linear regression analysis also showed an R² value of 0.67, which means that 67% of changes in student learning motivation were influenced by rewards. The regression equation Learning Motivation = 22.39 + 0.57 × Reward confirms the positive influence of rewards on increasing student motivation. Rewards have been shown to support cognitive development, such as the courage to read texts and the ability to memorize vocabulary, while also providing psychological impacts in the form of increased self-confidence, participation, and decreased anxiety in learning. These findings demonstrate that rewards are a practical yet effective learning strategy implemented in madrasah environments. Although this study has limitations in the number of samples and the scope of the research location, the results still provide valuable contributions in developing strategies to increase motivation to learn Arabic. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian reward terhadap motivasi belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas VII B MTsN 4 Kota Surabaya sekaligus menilai sejauh mana reward berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan motivasi tersebut. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional, dan data dikumpulkan melalui angket berskala Likert yang sebelumnya telah diuji validitas serta reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reward memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan motivasi belajar, ditandai dengan nilai korelasi Pearson r = 0,82. Analisis regresi linear sederhana juga menunjukkan nilai R² sebesar 0,67, yang berarti bahwa 67% perubahan motivasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh pemberian reward. Persamaan regresi Motivasi Belajar = 22,39 + 0,57 × Reward menegaskan adanya pengaruh positif reward terhadap peningkatan motivasi siswa. Reward terbukti mendukung perkembangan kognitif, seperti keberanian membaca teks dan kemampuan menghafal mufradat, sekaligus memberikan dampak psikologis berupa meningkatnya kepercayaan diri, partisipasi, dan menurunnya kecemasan dalam belajar. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa reward merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang praktis namun efektif diterapkan di lingkungan madrasah. Meskipun penelitian ini memiliki batasan pada jumlah sampel dan lingkup lokasi penelitian, hasilnya tetap memberikan kontribusi berharga dalam pengembangan strategi peningkatan motivasi belajar Bahasa Arab.
