Abstract

The study aims to find out whether the combination of lactose and avicel pH 102 can be formulated into black garlic extract tablet in accordance with the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia, the influence of combination, and determine the optimum formulation of the two ingredients using the SLD method. Methods used in this research Black Garlic extract is made by maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent with an extract weight of each tablet of 400 mg. Black garlic extract tablets are made in three formulations with a ratio of lactose-avicel PH-102, namely FI (100%:0%), FII (50%:50%), and FIII (0%:100%). Result shows that the optimum formula obtained was 80% lactose and 20% avicel PH 102 with a total predicted value of 0.645. The greater the concentration of avicel PH 102 as a crushing material, the faster the time rate of destruction, the hardness decreases, and the fragility value rises. The higher the concentration of the filler, the longer the crushing time it will take. The results of the statistical analysis of the three formulas tested showed the absence of significant differences between flow time, hardness, and brittleness, while crushed time tests showed the presence of significant differences (p?0.05). Semakin besar konsentrasi avicel PH 102 sebagai bahan penghancur, maka tingkat waktu hancur semakin cepat, kekerasan semakin turun, nilai kerapuhan semakin naik.

Abstract

WHO in its program, namely the Global School Health Initiative seeks to mobilize and strengthen health promotion and education activities in young children. One of the health education programs that could be held in elementary schools is the training of young pharmacists. Little Pharmacist, commonly abbreviated as Apocil, is an idea to introduce the role of the pharmacist profession more clearly from an early age. It is hoped that the presence of this little pharmacist in the future will increase elementary school students' awareness of medication and introduce the pharmacist profession to students and the community.  Student and community knowledge regarding health and medicine is still limited. Medications have an important role in maintaining health, therefore it should be used correctly in order to provide optimal clinical benefits. The purpose of this community service is to train little pharmacists in an effort to use the right medicine and educate healthy, nutritious food for elementary school students in Kemanisan Village. The method used was the Active Individual Learning Method (CBIA), the practice of making powder medicine, and it was evaluated by carrying out DAGUSIBU (get, use, store, and dispose of) mini-games. The media used in this activity are banners, mortar and stamper, and parchment paper. From the results of the activities was found that the students had known the pharmacist role and understood DAGUSIBU as well as education on healthy nutritious food with good results using mini-games. In summary, it can be concluded that the provision of education can increase the knowledge of elementary school students in the village of Kemanisan.

Abstract

Iron deficiency anemiaa type of anemia that occurs due to the body lacking iron which results in a decrease in the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the blood which is insufficient for the body's physiological needs. In Indonesia, the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia is greatest in non-pregnant adult women, around 25-48% and pregnant women around 46-92%. According to several studies, Moringa leaves (Moringa oliefera) are a source of iron. Moringa leaves (moringa oliefera) are known to have various nutritional contents. one of which is iron, protein, vitamin A, Vitamin C, potassium and calcium. Moringa leaves are a plant that has quite a high iron content. The iron content in the body can help form hemoglobin and bind oxygen. This research aims to determine the potential of Moringa leaves as an anti-anemia. The reference search was carried out in the process of reviewing this article using the internet network via Pubmed, Sciencedirect and Google Scholar. National and international journals were obtained as primary data sources. From the data collected, Moringa leaves have the potential to increase hemoglobin levels in experimental white mice. The high amount of iron contained in Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) affects the increase in hemoglobin in the blood. This can be used as a reference for the use of Moringa leaves as an anti-anemia, both for prevention and treatment.
