Abstract

Corn farming in immature oil palm plantations has become one of the alternative land-use strategies in Way Kanan Regency, particularly in Negeri Bumi Putra Village, Umpu Semenguk District. Farmers in this area utilize oil palm plantation land by intercropping corn to increase their income. This study aims to: (1) determine the production costs, revenue, and income of corn farming; and (2) analyze the feasibility of corn farming. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach with 17 corn farmers as respondents. Data were collected through interviews and direct field observations. The collected data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that (1) the total average production cost reached IDR 16.340.341,91 per hectare per planting season, with the largest component coming from labor costs amounting to IDR 8,688,665.44 per hectare. The total revenue obtained by farmers reached IDR 30.493.673,18 per hectare, resulting in a net income of IDR 14.153.331,27 per hectare; and (2) the R/C ratio value was 1.90 >1, indicating that every one rupiah of cost incurred would generate a return of 1.90 rupiah. Therefore, shelled corn farming in oil palm plantations in Negeri Bumi Putra Village is feasible and profitable to cultivate.

Abstract

Wheat development in Indonesia continues to face various technical and non-technical challenges, including agroecological constraints, low farmer interest, limited access to capital, and market uncertainty. These conditions highlight the importance of strong institutional support through multi-stakeholder partnership models. This study aims to analyze partnership models, key actors involved, their strategic roles, and their relationship with farmers’ interest in developing wheat cultivation in Indonesia. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus published between 2010 and 2025. The literature selection process followed systematic stages, including identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and in-depth analysis of relevant studies. The findings reveal that successful wheat development requires integrated partnership models involving farmers, government agencies, processing industries, financial institutions, research institutes, universities, and cooperatives. Partnerships play a crucial role in technology provision, capacity building, access to finance, market assurance, risk management, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, partnerships that provide price certainty, technology transfer, and institutional support are shown to enhance farmers’ motivation and participation in wheat cultivation. This study concludes that a coordinated and sustainable multi-actor partnership model is a key prerequisite for promoting national wheat development and reducing dependence on wheat imports.

Abstract

The sustainability of the agricultural sector today is the regeneration of farmers, by rebuilding the successors of agriculture, namely the younger generation, in future farming activities. The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the level of perception of alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture and Business, Satya Wacana Christian University (FPB UKSW) regarding work in the agricultural sector; 2) to analyze the level of interest of FPB UKSW alumni to work in the agricultural sector; and 3) to analyze the relationship between the perception of FPB UKSW alumni towards work in the agricultural sector and their interest in working in the agricultural sector. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with sampling using simple random sampling techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses scoring with three categories to analyze perceptions and interests as well as Spearman Rank correlation analysis to analyze the relationship between variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y). The results of the study show that 1) the level of perception of UKSW FPB alumni regarding work in the agricultural sector is in the moderate category, namely 62%; 2) the level of interest of UKSW FPB alumni to work in the agricultural sector is in the moderate category, namely 68%; and 3) the relationship between the perceptions of UKSW FPB alumni regarding work in the agricultural sector and their interest in working in the agricultural sector is significantly correlated (<0.001) and strongly positive with a correlation coefficient value of 0.761. This means that the more positive the perception of UKSW FPB alumni towards work in the agricultural sector, the higher the interest in working in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Sinar Baru Cap Bola Dunia Coffee Powder is one of the oldest traditional coffee brands in Bandar Lampung, currently facing intense market competition. To retain existing customers while attracting new ones, an effective marketing strategy is essential. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of the 7P marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence) on consumer loyalty, with satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. The research employed a survey method involving 130 purposively selected respondents. The data were examined using a method called Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), using SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that the 7P marketing mix has a significant and positive direct effect on consumer loyalty (path coefficient = 0.465) and also indirectly affects loyalty through satisfaction as a partial mediator (indirect effect = 0.282). These findings indicate that the direct influence on consumer loyalty is greater than the indirect influence through consumer satisfaction as a mediator. The study provides strategic implications for coffee industry practitioners in designing 7P marketing approaches that are more targeted and consumer-centered.
