Abstract

Conflict between students is an unavoidable dynamic in the school environment, especially at the primary and secondary education levels. If not managed properly, these conflicts can have a negative impact on students' social-emotional development and disrupt the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere. This study is motivated by the importance of conflict management as part of strategic efforts in creating child-friendly schools. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms of conflict between students, evaluate the conflict management strategies used by the school, and assess the effectiveness of the approach in creating a safe, inclusive and comfortable educational environment for all learners. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in one of the public elementary schools that implement a child-friendly school program. The results showed that conflicts that often occur are related to differences of opinion, academic competition, and social dynamics. Conflict management strategies implemented include mediation by teachers, student discussion forums, and habituation of tolerance and empathy values. The conclusion of this study states that conflict management based on a humanist and participatory approach is proven to be able to reduce the intensity of conflict and strengthen social relations between students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the process of internalizing mardhatillah values in shaping students' character at SD IT Alam Garut. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving school principals, teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that the internalization process takes place through exemplary behavior by teachers, consistent religious routines, integration of values into the curriculum, and the establishment of a value-based school culture. Students exhibit positive character traits such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and empathy, which are rooted in spiritual awareness. However, challenges arise in sustaining these values outside the school due to limited parental involvement and inconsistent reinforcement at home. The school leadership plays a crucial role in ensuring that the vision of mardhatillah remains the foundation of educational programs and institutional policies. Overall, the internalization of mardhatillah values at SD IT Alam Garut contributes effectively to the development of students’ character, although it requires stronger synergy between school and family to maintain consistency in students’ moral behavior across contexts. Abstract

This study examines the strategy of SD Islam Sabilul Qur’an Majalengka in setting educational fees according to parents’ economic capacity, the management and use of ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah, and Wakaf) funds to support school financing, and the challenges and opportunities in implementing a ZISWAF-based funding model at a private Islamic elementary school. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with school administrators, ZISWAF coordinators, teachers, and parents, as well as document review and field observations. Findings indicate that the school categorizes families into “very poor,” “poor,” “lower‐middle,” and “upper‐middle” groups based on income, assets, and dependents. Subsidies range from 50 % to 100 % of full tuition for qualifying families, while higher‐income families pay full fees and may contribute additional infak to bolster the school’s endowment. ZISWAF funds are collected from internal and external donors comprising regular zakat contributions, one‐time sedekah, and wakaf invested as a perpetual fund and are allocated to cover tuition gaps after a verification process involving document checks and home visits. This model has successfully reduced tuition arrears and ensured universal access regardless of socioeconomic status. However, challenges remain in defining clear income thresholds, expediting verification, and mitigating dependency on fluctuating donations. Opportunities include implementing a cloud‐based beneficiary management system, strengthening wakaf endowment management for sustainability, and enhancing parent engagement through regular forums. The study concludes that an integrated ZISWAF‐based financing mechanism can achieve equitable access and financial stability when combined with transparent procedures and community participation. Keywords: differential tuition, Islamic elementary school, educational financing, beneficiary verification, wakaf endowment;

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the human resource management (HRM) strategies implemented to support inclusive education at the Inclusive School of Sentra Salsabila Purwakarta. Inclusive education is an approach that emphasizes equal access and learning opportunities for all students, including children with special needs. This research adopts a qualitative case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the Inclusive School of Sentra Salsabila employs several integrated HRM strategies, such as recruiting teachers with expertise in inclusive education, providing regular training to enhance pedagogical competencies, and forming a support team involving educators, parents, and special education consultants. Additionally, the school has established periodic evaluation mechanisms to improve the quality of its educational services. The novelty of this research lies in its collaborative approach to HRM, emphasizing synergy among all stakeholders as the main pillar of inclusivity. These findings offer practical insights for other educational institutions seeking to develop inclusive programs. The study recommends further exploration of the long-term effectiveness of these strategies and their application in diverse educational contexts to strengthen the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia.
