Abstract

Permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia salah satunya adalah pelajar umumnya malas dalam belajar menyebabkan tingkat IQ negara ini rendah, dan kemungkinan buruknya generasi bangsa akan mengalami penurunan drastis dalam kecerdasan literasi. Meskipun kajian tentang menumbuhkan motivasi belajar dan kewajiban menuntut ilmu dalam Islam telah banyak diteliti, kajian hal yang mendasar dan esensial secara mendalam, yaitu paradigma belajar dalam Islam jarang dipertimbangkan. Penelitian ini mengatasi kesenjangan tersebut dengan mengubah paradigma pelajar Muslim di Indonesia yang mulanya materialistik menjadi paradigma cinta dalam menuntut ilmu pada Islam. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah literature riview yang secara mendalam dan holistik. Temuan penelitian terlihat bahwa paradigma materialistik dalam belajar tidak memberikan motivasi yang kokoh dan konsisten untuk pelajar Muslim di Indonesia. Sedangkan, paradigma cinta dalam belajar dengan pemaknaan implisit terhadap hadist riwayat Ibnu Majah nomor 224 tentang kewajiban menuntut ilmu bagi seorang Muslim menjadikan qalbu (hati) terbuka dan rileks untuk menuntut ilmu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagai seorang Muslim untuk tetap terdikte kepada Allah Swt, Rasulullah Saw, dan ilmu dalam hal belajar. Untuk itu, paradigma cinta ini sangat direkomendasikan bagi kepala madrasah sebagai langkah awal dalam perbaikan motivasi pelajar Muslim.

Abstract

Background: School principals play a strategic role in building a positive perception within an educational institution, which has an impact on improving trust, motivation, and organizational performance. One often-used strategy is impression management, which manages communication, leadership symbols, and interpersonal interactions. However, if not managed proportionately, this strategy can pose risks in the form of temporary imagery, negative biases, and manipulative perceptions, damage weak leadership credibility, and damage internal organizational relationships. Purpose of the Study: This study aims to analyze the role of impression management by school principals in building positive perceptions and identify risks arising from disproportionate and ineffective implementation. Methods: This study uses a library research approach by reviewing literature on impression management, perception, and leadership. The data was analyzed using content analysis to identify themes, patterns, and relationships between concepts. The analysis was also carried out using Karl Popper's falsification principle to test the dentist concept concepts' validity and avoid bias, the dentist concept concepts' validity and avoid bias. The mental idol Francis Bacon identifies and minimizes subjective bias in data interpretation. Results: The study shows that wise impression management can increase trust, motivation, and organizational performance. However, if not managed proportionally, it can create manipulative perceptions and reduce the trust of organizational members. This research makes theoretical and practical contributions to helping school principals manage impression management effectively to achieve more credible and sustainable leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts of supervisors of the Tanah Datar Regency education office at Batusangkar Progressive Vocational School in optimizing the supervisory function to improve the quality of education. The type of research is qualitative with a case study approach carried out online through google meet—research data obtained utilizing in-depth interviews. The data shows that the optimization of the supervision function follows the purpose of supervision, which is carried out regularly and continuously. The method used to optimize the supervisory function is academic and managerial supervision. All problems can be solved independently at the time of supervision. Follow-up for other problems is to provide alternatives in creative supervision, modeling, and OKE PDKT techniques. This study offers a supervisor to better understand and improve his quality as a school supervisor to realize a highly competitive education.

Abstract

The development of written media as a means of da'wah communication has become increasingly relevant in the modern era, especially through popular literary works such as novels. One of the novels that contains Islamic values is Kisah Cinta Insan dan Kamil by Kinoysan. This study aims to analyze the forms of da'wah messages in the novel, both in terms of da'wah communication approaches (rational, emotional, and motivational appeals) and from the aspect of Islamic content (morality, worship, and sharia). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis methods. Data is obtained through an in-depth reading of the novel's text, which is then classified based on message categories and types of da'wah appeals. The results of the study show that the most dominant da'wah messages in this novel are conveyed through motivational appeals, followed by rational and emotional appeals. Meanwhile, from the aspect of Islamic content, sharia messages are the most dominant, followed by worship and morality. The da'wah messages are conveyed through the narrative of the characters and the storyline, which resonates with the real-life experiences of the readers, particularly the young Muslim generation. The delivery, which is not preachy yet touches on emotional and spiritual aspects, makes this novel an effective and inspiring media for da'wah bil qalam. In conclusion, Kisah Cinta Insan dan Kamil successfully serves as a contemporary da'wah medium that combines educational and aesthetic values in a communicative narrative form. Abstrak Perkembangan media tulisan sebagai sarana komunikasi dakwah semakin relevan di era modern, terutama melalui karya sastra populer seperti novel. Salah satu novel yang memuat nilai-nilai keislaman adalah Kisah Cinta Insan dan Kamil karya Kinoysan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk pesan dakwah dalam novel tersebut, baik dari segi pendekatan komunikasi dakwah (imbauan rasional, emosional, dan motivasional) maupun dari aspek substansi isi keislaman (akhlak, ibadah, dan syariah). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis isi. Data diperoleh melalui pembacaan mendalam terhadap teks novel, kemudian diklasifikasikan berdasarkan kategori pesan dan jenis imbauan dakwah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesan dakwah dalam novel ini paling banyak disampaikan melalui imbauan motivasional, diikuti oleh rasional dan emosional. Sementara itu, dari aspek substansi keislaman, pesan syariah muncul paling dominan, disusul oleh ibadah dan akhlak. Pesan-pesan dakwah disampaikan melalui narasi tokoh dan alur cerita yang dekat dengan realitas kehidupan pembaca, terutama generasi muda Muslim. Penyampaian yang tidak menggurui namun menyentuh aspek emosional dan spiritual menjadikan novel ini sebagai media dakwah bil qalam yang efektif dan inspiratif. Kesimpulannya, novel Kisah Cinta Insan dan Kamil berhasil menjadi sarana dakwah kontemporer yang menggabungkan nilai edukatif dan estetis dalam satu bentuk naratif yang komunikatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi, inovasi, tantangan, serta evaluasi dalam pengelolaan kurikulum di MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemahaman kurikulum merdeka dan kurikulum Kementerian Agama dalam konteks madrasah, yang berfokus pada pengembangan potensi peserta didik melalui berbagai program unggulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan yang sesuai untuk menggali dan memahami berbagai aspek terkait perencanaan, pengembangan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi kurikulum. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah, guru, serta Tim Pusat Penjamin Mutu Madrasah (P2M). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MAN 1 Pekanbaru berhasil mengadaptasi kurikulum nasional dengan berbagai inovasi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan lokal, seperti penambahan jam pelajaran dan pengembangan kelas berbasis minat, seperti kelas tahfiz, olimpiade, riset, dan lainnya. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi perubahan metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum merdeka, menggantikan pendekatan tradisional yang bersifat instruksional. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui supervisi rutin, pelatihan, dan pembinaan, yang berfokus pada karakter siswa dan pencapaian target belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa inovasi dan penyesuaian kurikulum sangat berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru agar mereka mampu mengimplementasikan kurikulum yang berbasis kebutuhan lokal secara optimal.

Abstract

Total Quality Management (TQM) has been widely implemented in educational institutions to enhance quality through efficiency, productivity, and standardization. However, its application within Islamic education contexts presents epistemological and pedagogical tensions, particularly due to TQM’s roots in industrial and materialistic rationality, which may not fully align with Islamic education's holistic and spiritual aims. This study critically examined these tensions and proposes prophetic leadership as a conceptual alternative. The research analyzed the conceptual underpinnings of TQM, Islamic education, and prophetic leadership using a literature review and a descriptive-critical approach. The findings suggested that TQM often overlooks the spiritual and moral dimensions of learning, tends to homogenize student development, and orients educational processes toward market-driven outcomes. In contrast, prophetic leadership—grounded in values such as siddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fathanah—offers a more integrative framework that embraces intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development. This model resonates more closely with the foundational goals of Islamic education by promoting balance between worldly and transcendental aims and responding to the challenges of postmodern society. This study recommends integrating prophetic leadership values into Islamic educational policy design and teacher training programs. It suggests future empirical research to test the applicability and impact of this model across various Islamic schooling contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between communication practices and librarian performance at the Library of the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Indonesia. Communication is a central factor in determining organizational success, particularly in service-oriented institutions such as libraries, where interpersonal interaction and customer satisfaction are critical performance indicators. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research explores how librarians communicate with colleagues, superiors, and visitors, and how these interactions influence job performance. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving senior librarians, staff members, and library users. The findings reveal that effective and courteous communication fosters a collaborative, comfortable, and productive work atmosphere, which directly contributes to improved performance outcomes. Informal yet respectful internal communication among staff and leadership was found to enhance teamwork and reduce hierarchical tension, while polite and responsive communication with library users significantly increased visitor satisfaction and service reputation. The study concludes that positive communication behaviors not only improve service quality but also serve as a catalyst for performance improvement and organizational harmony within higher education libraries.
