Abstract

Pelatihan perawatan luka modern merupakan salah satu strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kompetensi perawat dalam menangani luka kronis. Tujuan penelitian adalah efektivitas efektivitas pelatihan perawatan luka modern terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan perawat dalam perawatan luka kronis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pre-experimental Design dengan pendekatan One Group Pretest-Postest. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 – 31 Desember 2024, intervensi diberikan sebanyak 2 kali seminggu selama 2 minggu. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang perawat. Variabel bebasnya adalah pelatihan perawatan luka modern, sedangkan variabel pendukungnya adalah pengetahuan perawat. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan sebelum dilakukan tindakan pada responden dengan skor baik sebesar 3,3%, cukup 66,7% dan kurang 30% serta setelah dilakukan tindakan pada responden dengan skor pengetahuan baik menjadi 100%. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa nilai p sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti pelatihan perawatan luka modern efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelatihan perawatan luka modern yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat dalam perawatan luka kronis.

Abstract

Utilization of technological media in the field of education and health can increase public knowledge in efforts to prevent anemia, especially in young women. One of the efforts to prevent anemia and increase adherence to taking iron tablets is by using Web-based educational media (E-WoHealth) about iron tablets supplemented with a tablet supplement consumption control card. This research aims to develop Web-based E-WoHealth media and its effect on the level of adherence to the consumption of blood supplement tablets. This study used the Research and development (R&D) method with the Borg & Gall development model and the Pre-experimental Design quantitative method using the One Group Pretest-Postest approach. The sample in this study was 80 girls in grades VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo City, determined by purposive sampling technique. Statistical tests used the McNemar test and the Chi-Square test. The results of the McNemar test showed differences in the measurement results before and after being given the Web-based E-WoHealth media with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05 meaning that the Web-based E-WoHealth media was effective in increasing adherence to consumption of iron supplement tablets (TTD) in class VII and class VIII girls and the results of the Chi-Square P-Value test were 0.822 > 0.05 meaning that there was no difference in adherence between class VII and VII girls. This study recommends the application of WEB-based E-WoHealth media equipped with an iron supplement control card to increase adherence and monitor iron supplement consumption.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease frequently accompanied by complications such as peripheral circulatory disorders and neuropathy, which contribute to decreased lower-extremity function. This condition is still often found in DM patients at Toto Kabila Regional Hospital, highlighting the need for effective non-pharmacological interventions. Purpose: To analyze the effectiveness of buerger allen exercise and diabetic foot exercise in improving peripheral circulation and neuropathic symptoms among patients with diabetes mellitus. Method: A quasi-experimental two-group pretest–posttest design involving 60 patients who were randomly assigned into two intervention groups. Both exercises were administered for four weeks. Data were collected using standardized operational procedures for each exercise along with instruments assessing peripheral circulation and neuropathic symptoms. The Wilcoxon test was used to analyze within-group effects, while the Mann–Whitney test was applied to compare differences between groups. Results: Both interventions significantly improved peripheral circulation and reduced neuropathic symptoms (p = 0.000). Between-group analysis showed that the Buerger Allen Exercise produced greater improvement in peripheral circulation, particularly in the left extremity (p = 0.019), and demonstrated a more substantial reduction in neuropathic symptoms compared to diabetic foot exercise (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Both Buerger Allen Exercise and diabetic foot exercise are effective in enhancing peripheral circulation and reducing neuropathic symptoms in patients with diabetes mellitus. However, Buerger Allen Exercise shows superior effectiveness and may be recommended as a primary non-pharmacological intervention to improve vascular and sensory function in diabetic patients.   Keywords: Buerger Allen Exercise; Diabetes Mellitus; Diabetic Foot Exercise; Diabetic Neuropathy; Peripheral Circulation.   Pendahuluan: Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit kronis yang sering disertai komplikasi berupa gangguan sirkulasi perifer dan neuropati, yang berdampak pada penurunan fungsi ekstremitas bawah. Kondisi ini masih banyak dijumpai pada pasien DM di RSUD Toto Kabila, sehingga diperlukan intervensi non-farmakologis yang efektif. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis efektivitas Buerger Allen Exercise dan senam kaki diabetes terhadap sirkulasi perifer dan gejala neuropati pada pasien DM. Metode: Desain quasi-experimental two group pretest–posttest dengan total sampel 60 pasien yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok intervensi. Latihan diberikan selama empat minggu, dan pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan SOP latihan serta instrumen penilaian sirkulasi perifer dan gejala neuropati. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon untuk mengetahui pengaruh intervensi dan uji Mann-Whitney untuk melihat perbedaan antar kelompok. Hasil: Peningkatan signifikan pada sirkulasi perifer dan perbaikan gejala neuropati pada kedua kelompok (p = 0.000). Perbandingan antar kelompok menunjukkan bahwa Buerger Allen Exercise memberikan peningkatan sirkulasi perifer yang lebih tinggi, khususnya pada ekstremitas kiri (p = 0.019), serta perbaikan gejala neuropati yang lebih besar dibandingkan senam kaki diabetes (p = 0.000). Simpulan: Buerger allen exercise dan senam kaki diabetes sama-sama efektif meningkatkan sirkulasi perifer dan memperbaiki gejala neuropati, namun buerger allen exercise menunjukkan efektivitas yang lebih unggul. Latihan ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi non-farmakologis dalam upaya meningkatkan fungsi vaskular dan sensorik pada pasien diabetes melitus.   Kata Kunci: Buerger Allen Exercise; Diabetes Melitus; Neuropati Diabetik; Senam Kaki Diabetes; Sirkulasi Perifer.

Abstract

Abstrak: Secara global, 80% kematian ibu hamil yang tergolong dalam penyebab kematian ibu secara langsung, yaitu disebabkan karena terjadinya komplikasi seperti pendarahan (25%) biasanya pendarahan pasca persalinan, hipertensi pada ibu hamil (12%), partus macet (8%), aborsi (13%) dan karena sebab lainnya (7%). Meningkatnya kejadian hipertensi dipengaruhi beberapa faktor risiko yaitu jenis kelamin, adanya riwayat tekanan darah tinggi dalam keluarga, obesitas, kurang olah raga, mengkonsumsi garam berlebih, stress dan kebiasaan hidup seperti merokok dan minum minuman beralkohol. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang perilaku cerdas dalam pengendalian hipertensi pada ibu hamil. Metode yang digunakan ceramah dan tanya jawab, sasaran pengabdian ini adalah ibu hamil berjumlah 30 ibu hamil. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada ibu hamil sebanyak 28 orang (94%) tentang pencegahan hipertensi setelah diberikan penyuluhan tentang perilaku CERDAS dalam pengendalian hipertensi pada ibu hamil.Abstract: Globally, 80% of maternal deaths are directly attributable to complications such as haemorrhage (25%), usually post-partum haemorrhage, hypertension in pregnant women (12%), obstructed labour (8%), abortion (13%) and other causes (7%). The increasing incidence of hypertension is influenced by several risk factors, namely gender, family history of high blood pressure, obesity, lack of exercise, excessive salt consumption, stress and life habits such as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about smart behaviour in controlling hypertension in pregnant women. The method used was lecture and question and answer, the target of this service was 30 pregnant women. Evaluation of activities is carried out using pretests and posttests. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge in pregnant women as many as 28 people (94%) about the prevention of hypertension after being given counseling on SMART behaviour in controlling hypertension in pregnant women.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Bunggalo merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Telaga Jaya yang memiliki permasalahan anemia cukup tinggi pada remaja puteri. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh rendahnya pengetahuan remaja puteri dan kader mengenai pencegahan anemia, sehingga berdampak pada tingginya angka kejadian anemia. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja puteri dan kader tentang pencegahan anemia melalui pembinaan, edukasi kesehatan, pemberian tablet Fe, serta konsumsi olahan kacang hijau. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pembentukan kelas remaja puteri, pelaksanaan pretest pengetahuan anemia sebanyak 20 soal, edukasi kesehatan disertai pembagian leaflet, serta pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan sesudah pembinaan. Selanjutnya, remaja puteri diberikan tablet Fe dan olahan kacang hijau, kemudian dilakukan evaluasi melalui posttest menggunakan kuesioner 20 soal. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah dua orang kader dengan sasaran 30 remaja puteri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan kader dari 13,20% menjadi 15,20%. Selain itu, 81% remaja puteri memiliki kadar hemoglobin dalam kategori normal setelah pembinaan dilakukan.Abstract: Bunggalo Village is one of the villages in Telaga Jaya District that has a relatively high prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls. This condition is influenced by limited knowledge of both adolescent girls and community health cadres regarding anemia prevention, which contributes to the high incidence of anemia. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge of adolescent girls and cadres about anemia prevention through guidance activities, health education, provision of iron (Fe) tablets, and mung bean–based food products. The methods included forming adolescent girl classes, administering a pretest consisting of 20 questions on anemia knowledge, providing educational sessions accompanied by leaflet distribution, and measuring hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention. Furthermore, participants received Fe tablets and mung bean preparations. Evaluation was conducted through a posttest using a 20-item questionnaire. The program involved two cadres as partners and targeted 30 adolescent girls. The results showed that cadres’ knowledge increased from 13.20% to 15.20% after the training. In addition, hemoglobin examination revealed that 81% of adolescent girls were in the normal category after the guidance activities were implemented.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kontrasepsi pascasalin merupakan upaya penting untuk mencegah kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan, mengurangi risiko komplikasi, dan menjaga jarak kehamilan. Namun, pemanfaatannya masih rendah akibat kurangnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai metode, waktu penggunaan, dan manfaatnya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang KB pascasalin melalui edukasi berbasis multimedia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Kota Gorontalo dengan melibatkan 32 ibu hamil. Edukasi diberikan menggunakan media PowerPoint, video, dan leaflet melalui ceramah interaktif dan diskusi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan 59,37% ibu memiliki pengetahuan tinggi, 18,75% sedang, dan 21,87% rendah. Setelah edukasi, pengetahuan meningkat menjadi 68,75% kategori tinggi, 25% sedang, dan 6,25% rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia mampu memperjelas informasi dan membantu ibu memahami materi lebih efektif. Kegiatan ini terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang KB pascasalin. Edukasi inovatif dan berkelanjutan direkomendasikan untuk mendukung peningkatan pemanfaatan layanan KB pascasalin.Abstract: Postpartum contraception is essential for preventing unintended pregnancies, reducing maternal complications, and ensuring healthy birth spacing. However, its utilization remains low due to limited maternal knowledge about contraceptive methods, appropriate timing, and associated benefits. This community service program aimed to improve pregnant women’s knowledge of postpartum family planning through multimedia-based education. The activity was conducted at the Gorontalo City Health Center with 32 pregnant women as participants. Educational sessions were delivered using PowerPoint slides, videos, and leaflets through interactive lectures and discussions. Knowledge was assessed through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Pre-test results showed that 59.37% of participants had high knowledge, while 21.87% were in the low category. After the intervention, the proportion of participants with high knowledge increased to 68.75%, and the low category decreased to 6.25%. These results indicate that multimedia can enhance comprehension by engaging both visual and auditory senses, making information easier to understand and remember. The program effectively improved maternal knowledge, and continued innovative educational efforts are recommended to support increased use of postpartum contraception.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Iron deficiency anemia remains a major public health problem among adolescent girls aged 10–19 years, with wide-ranging impacts on physical health, cognitive function, and academic achievement. Iron supplementation through iron tablets is an important strategy for anemia prevention; however, its effectiveness is strongly influenced by adolescents’ levels of knowledge and attitudes. In the school context, teachers play a strategic role as educational agents in shaping students’ health literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between teachers’ educational roles and the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls regarding iron tablet supplementation at SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo City. Method: This study employed a quantitative observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo City. A total of 80 adolescent girls were included as the sample. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Kruskal–Wallis test. Results: Among the 80 respondents, the analysis showed that the relationship between teachers’ roles and adolescent girls’ knowledge and attitudes toward iron tablet supplementation differed by grade level. In grade VII, teachers’ roles were significantly associated with knowledge levels (p = 0.042; p < 0.05), but not with attitudes (p = 0.620; p > 0.05). In contrast, in grade VIII, teachers’ roles were not significantly associated with either knowledge (p = 0.093) or attitudes (p = 0.353). These findings indicate that the influence of teachers’ roles is more evident in the cognitive aspects of students at the lower grade level. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between teachers’ educational roles and the knowledge of grade VII adolescent girls, but not among grade VIII students, and no significant association was found with attitudes at either grade level
