Abstract

Drip irrigation system is one of the solutions to irrigation problems. Drip irrigation applies direct water supply to plant roots. The use of drip irrigation that has been widely used is usually separate from the fertilization or fertigation system. The obstacles that usually occur are blockages in the emitter due to non-homogeneous nutrients and sedimentation. The use of a venturimeter is one solution in fertilization in a drip irrigation system. Fertilizers or nutrients that are distributed in a drip irrigation system have difficulty in determining the right dose due to the mixing of water and fertilizer/nutrients that occurs in the installation pipe. The purpose of this reasearch is to create a design or construction of a venturimeter placement that makes it easier to determine the right fertilizer dose in a drip irrigation system. This research method uses an experimental method with 1 variable, namely the design or design of the venturimeter placement with 2 variables, namely V1: Direct method, V2: Bypass method, with 5 repetitions. The observation variables in this study were the average uniformity of the emitter discharge, the average discharge at the venturimeter input, and the pressure at the venturimeter output. The results obtained were that in the observation of the average uniformity of the CU, the average discharge uniformity reached 98%, while the average output and input venturimeter discharges produced.

Abstract

Mistletoe leaves are plants that stick to other plants but have not received much attention in their handling. The urgency of this research is that chemical treatment is very expensive and the side effects of chemical drugs are great, so mistletoe as an alternative natural ingredient can be used as an anticancer, antibacterial and other disease agent. The purpose of the study was to study the proximate content of 3 types of mistletoe leaves and the feasibility of the product as a health drink. The research method is a quantitative proximate test and product feasibility using the SWOT method. The raw materials tested were guava mistletoe leaves, mango mistletoe leaves and longan. The study was conducted from March to May 2025. The results obtained are as follows: proximate content includes water, protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber in% is mango mistletoe leaves: 11.13 ± 1.22 | 7.19 ± 0.84 | 8.58 ± 0.41 | 54.25 ± 2.14 | 17.59 ± 0.83 | ; longan mistletoe leaves: 11.15 ± 1.05 | 14.25 ± 0.95 | 13.13 ± 0.34 | 51.25 ± 1.92 | 12.10 ± 0.72 |; water apple mistletoe leaves: | 12.58 ± 1.34 | 8.26 ± 0.63 | 11.30 ± 0.24 | 60.20 ± 2.31 | 14.65 ± 0.62 |. The product feasibility of 3 types of mistletoe leaves according to the SWOT analysis has the potential for health drinks. Longan mistletoe leaves have the potential to have the highest protein, fat and lowest fiber content compared to other types.

Abstract

Tissue culture is one of the appropriate plant propagation methods for producing superior seeds in large numbers and simultaneously. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of selecting different explants and varieties on callus induction in sugar cane plants. This research was carried out from March to May 2022 at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Sugar Research Center (Puslit) PTPN X Jengkol, Plosokidul Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency. The method used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was arranged factorially with two replications. The first factor is the explant part of the sugar cane shoot (E) which consists of 6 levels, namely the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th pieces. The second factor is the types of varieties with different ripeness types (V) which consist of 3 levels, namely NX 01 (early ripe), Cenning (middle ripe), and PSDK 923 (slow ripe). Based on the data analysis that has been carried out, the results obtained are that the combination of treatment of sugarcane shoot explant parts (E) and varieties (V) shows a positive response to the callus emergence time variable with the fastest callus emergence being the combination of the 1st explant cutting treatment on the NX variety 01 with an average of 6.5 days. A single treatment of sugarcane shoot explant parts (E) had a very significant effect on the contamination percentage variable. The lowest contamination percentage observed in 11-th piece as 8,35%.

Abstract

Soka jawa atau Ixora javanica merupakan genus tumbuhan dari famili Rubiaceae yang memiliki lebih kurang 500 spesies. Soka merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hiass yang berbatang perdu dan berbatang kecil tetapi kokoh dengan percabangan yang banyak. Perbanyak vegetatif tanaman soka menggunakan metode stek batang atau cabang dari indukannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh panjang batang stek dan pengaruh zat pengatur tumbuh terhadap pertumbuhan awal stek batang soka jawa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dimulai pada Oktober 2023 sampai pada Desember 2023. Penelitian kali ini dilakukan di Desa Purwokerto, Kecamatan Ngadiluwih, Kabupaten Kediri Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah rancang acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah panjang batang stek P1:10 cm, P2:15 cm, P3:20 cm dan faktor kedua zat pengatur tumbuh Z1:Rootone-F, Z1:ekstrak bawang merah, dan Z3:nature stek yang terdiri dari di ulang sebnyak 3 kali data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan sisik ragam Anova. Jika terjadi perbedaan yang nyata antar perlakuan maka diuji lanjut menggunakan BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadi interaksi yang sangat nyata antara kombinasi perlakuan panjang batang stek dan zat pengatur tumbuh pada parameter pengamatan panjang tunas, jumlah tunas dan panjang akar.
