Change management in schools is crucial in addressing the rapid demands of change in the current global educational context. This study aims to identify effective strategies in change management within schools and analyze their impact on educational quality. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with an in-depth case study conducted at several urban secondary schools. The findings reveal that strong leadership, active stakeholder participation, and effective communication significantly contribute to the successful implementation of changes in the studied schools. The implications underscore the need for continuous training for staff and the development of policies that support school adaptation to changes. Sustainable and integrative strategies are necessary to enhance educational quality over the long term. Abstract

Mind mapping, often referred to as concept mapping, is a highly effective tool for organizing thoughts and is a simple way to store information in the brain and retrieve it when needed. This research aims to: (1) identify factors contributing to inadequate design of thematic learning media in Grade III primary schools in Bogor Regency, (2) design thematic learning media based on mind mapping for implementation in Grade III primary schools in Bogor Regency, (3) evaluate teachers’ responses to the use of thematic learning media based on mind mapping in Grade III primary schools in Bogor Regency. This study adopts the ADDIE model development approach, involving Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Findings indicate that thematic learning media based on mind mapping are not well-structured due to primary school teachers’ limited understanding of mind mapping creation in Bogor Regency. Expert evaluation shows the developed media received a good rating, and teachers responded positively to the developed media. This suggests that thematic learning media based on mind mapping can effectively enhance learning in primary schools in Bogor Regency.

Abstract

The digital era demands educational transformation that integrates technological literacy and technological infrastructure to support digital citizenship education. This research aims to analyze the influence of technological literacy and technological infrastructure in maximizing digital citizenship education among high school students in Sukabumi City. The research method uses a quantitative approach with associative descriptive design. The research sample consisted of 309 students from State Senior High Schools in Sukabumi City selected through probability sampling techniques. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SPSS AMOS. The results show that technological literacy has a significant positive effect on digital citizenship education with coefficient β = 0.530 (p < 0.001), indicating that increased technological literacy will improve digital citizenship understanding by 53%. Technological infrastructure also has a significant positive effect with coefficient β = 0.147, although its influence is smaller compared to technological literacy. Simultaneously, the combination of technological literacy and technological infrastructure explains 36% of the variation in digital citizenship education (R² = 0.360). The findings indicate that technological literacy is the main predictor of successful digital citizenship education, while technological infrastructure serves as a supporting facilitator. This research recommends a holistic approach in developing digital education policies that integrate improving students' technological literacy with strengthening school technological infrastructure to create responsible and ethical digital citizens.

Abstract

Pancasila Education is essential for shaping students’ civic responsibility and national identity; however, at SMP Negeri 21 in South Tangerang City, preliminary observations indicate that only 35% of seventh-grade students actively engage in learning, with most relying on rote memorization due to conventional teacher-centered methods. Previous studies have suggested the potential of Google Sites as an interactive medium to enhance students’ motivation, but its application in combination with the Merdeka learning approach in Pancasila Education has not been sufficiently explored. Previous studies have suggested the potential of Google Sites as an interactive medium to enhance students’ motivation, but its integration with the Merdeka approach in Pancasila Education remains underexplored. This study aimed to develop and evaluate Google Sites-based learning media using the Merdeka approach to improve seventh-grade students’ learning interest at SMP Negeri 21 South Tangerang City. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE model, the study involved expert validation and classroom implementation. The validation results indicated significant improvement after revisions: media experts rated 94.04% (very feasible), material experts 92.8% (very feasible), and language experts 94.4% (very feasible). Pre-implementation surveys showed students’ learning interest was categorized as “weak” with an average score of 35.2%, reflecting low enjoyment, limited engagement, and lack of motivation. After implementing the developed media, the score increased to 71.7%, classified as “strong,” with consistent improvement across indicators such as enjoyment, interest, acceptance of peers’ opinions, and active participation. These findings highlight that Google Sites-based media not only enhanced visual appeal but also fostered participatory, contextual, and meaningful learning experiences through interactive features like videos, quizzes, and reflective activities. It can be concluded that the developed media is effective and feasible for enhancing students’ learning interest in Pancasila Education and provides practical implications for fostering digital and character-based learning in junior secondary schools.
