Abstract

This research was motivated by the problems that occurred at SDN 056627 kwala Sawit, namely the low interest in learning mathematics of students. This study is aimed at finding out how the Application of Story-Based Comics Digital Comics Learning Media to Increase the Interest in Learning Mathematics of Grade II Students of UPT SDN 056627 Kwala Sawit T.A 2024/2025. The method used in this study is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings. The subjects of this study are 2nd grade students of SD Negeri 064023 Victory Tani T.A 2024/2025 which totals 24 people consisting of 14 girls and 10 boys. The data collection techniques in this study use observation, interview, test and documentation techniques and use qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the tests that have been carried out in the learning process that it increases in the actions taken in the second cycle, in that cycle the average test results obtained are 78. It can be concluded in this study that in the process of digital comic media story-based comics presented in visual form can attract students' attention. With this, it has a significant impact, namely fostering interest, enthusiasm and focus in mathematics learning activities.

Abstract

The implementation of a companion teacher for children with special needs is an important step in creating an inclusive environment. The companion teacher can help in adjusting teaching, providing individual support, and facilitating social interactions. The importance of effective communication between teachers and the companion teacher, as well as collaboration in planning and implementing learning, also supports the success of this implementation. Overall, the role of the companion teacher can enrich the learning experience of children with special needs.

Abstract

Speaking is one of the most essential skills for students to master in facing the challenges of globalization and the era of international communication. However, in reality, many students at Anastasya School Medan struggle to express their ideas orally in English due to limited practice, low self-confidence, and the dominance of individualistic teaching methods. In response to this issue, this community service program was carried out with the aim of improving students’ speaking skills through a collaborative learning approach. The activities were conducted in the form of interactive training and paired or group conversation simulations using daily topics relevant to the students' real-life context. Documentation of the activities indicated high student enthusiasm and significant improvement in vocabulary mastery, pronunciation, and speaking fluency. Observations and evaluations revealed that 80% of participants showed increased scores in speaking aspects after participating in the program. Furthermore, students reported feeling more confident and motivated to speak English through collaborative learning. In conclusion, collaborative learning has proven to be an effective method for enhancing students’ speaking abilities by promoting active interaction, teamwork, and a supportive learning atmosphere. This model can be adopted by other schools facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru agar mengetahui bagaimana membuat media pembelajaran secara mandiri. Metode kegiatan pengabdian dalam pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran komik bagi guru Sekolah Dasar dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yang sistematis. Tahap pertama adalah persiapan, tahap kedua pelaksanaan, tahap ketiga evaluasi. Pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran komik berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi post test, para peserta menunjukkan pemahaman yang kuat terhadap konsep dasar komik 80%. Selain itu, para guru merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan aplikasi secara mandiri untuk menciptakan komik yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran 100%. Mereka juga mampu mengintegrasikan komik ke dalam materi ajar di kelas 85%, dan meyakini bahwa penggunaan media ini akan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar secara signifikan 77%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendorong pendidik untuk melihat lebih dalam tentang potensi pendekatan pendidikan yang inovatif dan alamiah dalam mengembangkan ketrampilan sains anak usia dini. Implementasi media daun bunga sepatu mungkin hanya merupakan awal dari berbagai metode pembelajaran yang dapat dirancang untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang berarti dan mendalam bagi anak-anak pada tahap perkembangan yang kritis. peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif merupakan salah satu penelitian yang memiliki tujuan untuk memahami fenomena atau kejadian yang dialami oleh si subjek penelitian secara holistik dan dengan menggunakan cara deskriptif yaitu menggunakan kata-kata serta penggunaan bahasa yang alami dan dengan menggunakan atau memanfaatkan berbagai metodemetode penelitian. Respon siswa terhadap relevansi media pembelajaran tanaman hias yang ada di pekarangan sekolah yaitu sebesar 85,5% dengan kategori sangat baik. Respon siswa pada indikator perhatian sebesar 94,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. Nilai persentase keupasaan siswa terhadap media pemeblajaran tanaman hias yaitu 90% dengan kategori sangat baik. Persentase kepercayaan diri siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran tanaman hias dalam bentuk album foto yaitu 87,5% dengan kategori sangat baik.
