Abstract

This service aims to encourage community involvement in the process of environmental protection and actions that can be taken by the community to reduce plastic waste pollution. The targets in this service are to build the Plastic Waste Awareness Community Movement, to build a creative community effort by utilizing and managing plastic waste and to become a model as a Waste Awareness Village and a solution to the national plastic waste problem. The location of this community service activity was carried out in Wasuemba Village, Wabula District, Buton Regency.

Abstract

Legal counseling on violations of the ITE Law in using social media in the Saragi sub-district aims to create public awareness in social media wisely and avoid violations of the ITE Law. Forms of violation of the Information and Electronic Transaction Law in using social media have been regulated in Law no. 19 of 2016 Jo Law no. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. Legal counseling on violations of the ITE Law in social media uses a statutory approach by first examining legal materials related to violations of the ITE Law in social media. Public awareness to be wise in using social media must always be increased in order to create social order in society.

Abstract

Ketentuan UU Bantuan Hukum tidak sepenuhnya terwujud dan  masih terdapat tantangan dalam penerapannya. salah satu faktor penghambat terlaksananya undang-undang tersebut yaitu pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap adanya aturan yang menjamin hak-haknya sebagai warga negara Indonesia. Pada umumnya mayarakat belum familiar dengan Bantuan hukum dan Organisasi Bantuan Hukum. Tujuan dalam pengebadian ini yaitu agar masyarakat yang berada di Desa Kondowa mengetahui adanya akases pemberian bantuan hukum terhadap masyarakat yang miskin dan permohon bantuan hukum ditujukan melalui Organisasi Bantuan Hukum. Adapun penggunaan metode dalam pengabdian ini yakni penyuluhan dengan menjelaskan kepada masyarakat Desa Kondowa tentang pemahaman bantuan hukum, jenis bantuan hukum yang dapat diberikan, hak-hak serta kewajiban bagi yang menerima bantuan hukum, selain itu larangan serta sanksi yang memberikan bantuan hukum. Penyuluhan akses hukum bagi masyarakat tidak mampu sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat pedesaan. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui setelah dilasanakan kegiatan penyuluhan yang mendapat atensi tinggi dari masyarakat serta sangat bersyukur atas informasi bantuan hukum cuma-cuma bagi masyarakat tidak mampu.

Abstract

One of the objectives of rural development, as emphasized in Article 78, paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, is to improve the welfare of rural communities and the quality of human life, as well as poverty alleviation through the development of local economic potentials and the sustainable utilization of natural resources and the environment. The development and enhancement of local economic potentials can realize the economic self-reliance of the village. Watiginanda Village needs to undertake strategic initiatives, including the development and improvement of the local economy. Community service is conducted through the method of data collection and mapping of the local economic potentials of Watiginanda Village, which can be built and developed by the village government. In conclusion, Watiginanda Village has local potentials that can elevate its status from a developing village to an advanced village, including agricultural, fisheries, and tourism potentials. Abstract

The socialisation of election supervision regulations is crucial for maintaining transparency and integrity in the electoral process. It ensures stakeholders, including organizers, participants, observers, and voters, understand the rights, obligations, and procedures, leading to increased legal compliance and a fair process. Effective socialisation can also reduce conflicts and disputes, fostering public trust in the election supervisor's integrity. Activities were conducted to increase understanding of Bawaslu regulations and non-regulations during the 2024 General Election. In collaboration with Bawaslu Baubau City, participants included Sub-District Supervisory Committees and Election Monitors. Understanding rules promotes equality, fairness, and social stability by preventing abuse and utilizing legal loopholes. It also allows for organized and productive interactions, preventing conflicts and chaos. Prioritizing rules is crucial for individuals and organizations to make informed decisions, maintain equality, and preserve social stability. Conclusion in this article, Understanding regulations is essential for societal stability, justice, and order. It provides a transparent framework for interactions, promoting equality and fairness. It prevents conflicts and disorder, ensuring a more organized society. Election organizers must have a thorough understanding of electoral law to perform their duties professionally and maintain integrity. This knowledge strengthens the capacity of electoral management authorities and creates democratic elections with integrity.

Abstract

Pembangunan Jalan lingkungan Pasarwajo dan Pematangan Lahan Rawan Bencana termasuk dalam kategori pembangunan untuk kepentingan umum. Dengan demikian, prosedur pengadaan tanah untuk pembangunan tersebut harus sesuai dengan ketentuan Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2012 tentang Pengadaan Tanah bagi Pembangunan Untuk Kepentingan Umum dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 19 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Pengadaan Tanah bagi Pembangunan Untuk Kepentingan Umum. Salah satu point penting dari pengadaan tanah dalam ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan tersebut yaitu menganai ganti rugi yang layak dan adil. Namun yang menjadi persoalan dalam proses pengadaan tanah jalan lingkungan Pasarwajo adanya prosedur yang keliru. Sehingga menyebabkan masalah.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis bagaimana prosedur pengadaan tanah berdasarkan ketentuan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan serta bagaimana prosedur pengadaan tanah untuk pembangunan jalan lingkungan pasarwajo dan pematangan lahan rawan bencana. Penelitian yuridis empiris dengan metode analisis kualitatif sebagai pisau bedahnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Prosedur pengadaan tanah bagi pembangunan untuk kepentingan umum dimulai dari tahap perencanan, persiapan, pelaksanaan serta penyerahan hasil. Pengadaan tanah untuk pembangunan Jalan Lingkugan Pasarwajo dan Pematangan Lahan Rawan Becana tidak sesuai dengan prosedur sebagaimana yang diatur dalam ketentuan Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2021 dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 19 Tahun 2021.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Buton Regency's Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2022 on Regional Food Reserves in controlling food price volatility, a critical issue linked to Indonesia's broader food security challenges. The research focuses on two key questions: the process of distributing regional food reserves to mitigate price surges and the factors hindering the successful implementation of the regulation. Using an empirical legal research model, this study examines the functioning of law within the community, integrating primary and secondary data collected through legal document analysis, observation, and interviews with local policymakers and stakeholders. The findings reveal that, while the regulation outlines procedures for managing and distributing food reserves during price surges, these reserves have not been distributed as intended. Key barriers include the lack of supporting regulations, particularly the absence of a regent regulation to provide operational guidelines, and logistical challenges such as inadequate storage facilities. This study highlights the need for stronger regulatory frameworks and operational strategies to ensure effective implementation, contributing to the discourse on food security policy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The numerous legal instruments and various agencies involved in the protection of women and children have not led to a reduction in violence against women and children; rather, the incidence has been increasing annually. The primary reasons for the rise in violence against women and children are the lack of education and awareness regarding human rights, gender equality, and gender-based violence, as well as the insufficient support from communities or social networks closest to the victims. This can result in victims feeling isolated and without a place to report or seek help. The method used in this community service program was training on case recording and reporting of violence against women and children. The result of the training was an increase in participants' knowledge regarding the forms of violence against women and children, the roles and duties of the Village Task Force for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA), as well as the procedure for handling cases of violence against women and children. The success of this program was measured using questionnaires administered before and after the training to assess the participants' knowledge and understanding of case recording and reporting of violence against women and children.

Abstract

Cases of violence against women and children in Buton Regency often go unreported, resulting in an increasing number of cases each year. Several contributing factors include the lack of community participation in providing information and support to victims, as well as a tendency to blame the victims. This condition discourages victims from fighting for their rights. To address this issue, legal education on the protection of women and children at the village level is essential. The objective of this activity is to enhance community understanding and participation in making Buton Regency free from violence against women and children. The method used in this Community Service activity is legal counseling. Prior to the counseling, the initial step involved identifying and inventorying the problems faced by the community. After conducting legal education through counseling sessions, the community demonstrated an increased understanding of the importance of protecting women and children, as well as their role in preventing violence and providing support to victims. This education is expected to contribute to creating a safer and more supportive environment for women and children in Buton Regency.

Abstract

Untuk mendukung visi, misi, tujuan, sasaran, dan arah kebijakan, strategi, dan indikasi program pembangunan kepariwisataan kabupaten yang tertuang dalam Rencana Induk Pembangunan Kepariwisataan (RIPPARDA) Daerah Kabupaten Buton tahun 2021-2026. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan mengajak, mengarahkan, membina pemuda dalam hal ini Karang Taruna Kelurahan Awainulu untuk menggali potensi wisata daerah agar dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat kelurahan Awainulu. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu observasi kawasan, sosialisasi, koordinasi, dan penyelesaian administras. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan master plan kawasan wisata mangrove, gambar 3D wisata mangrove, sarana olahraga, sumber pendanaan, serta rekomendasi pengembangan potensi kawasan dari pemerintah daerah berupa rekomendasi, penyampaian, dan himbauan dari instansi terkait seperti Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Pemerintah Kabupaten Buton, Dinas Kehutanan UPTD Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (KPH) Unit III Lakompa dan Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kabupaten Buton. Dimungkinkan terjalin koordinasi baik antara seluruh stakeholders yang berkaitan dengan melakukan beberapa langkah seprti identifikasi masalah, penyusunan rencana strategis bersama, transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam semua aktivitas, melibatkan masyarakat, kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal, penyuluhan dan pendidikan kepada seluruh stakeholders tentang pentingnya pembangunan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan dan mensejahterakan.
