Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media internet sebagai sumber belajar dan tingkat pemahaman peserta didik SMA Negeri 12 Konawe Selatan pada materi gelombang mekanik dengan menggunakan media internet selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data pelaksanaan diperoleh melalui kuesioner, wawancara dan tes. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik menggunakan internet untuk mencari materi fisika. Penggunaan internet dapat membantu peserta didik dalam proses belajar. Dalam penggunaan internet sebagai sumber belajar berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase 32% dan 21 % pada kategori sangat baik dan baik. Dalam tingkat pemahaman peserta didik berada pada kategori paham dengan persentase 39%, yang menunjukkan peserta didik mampu memahami materi gelombang mekanik selama belajar mandiri dirumah melalui penggunaan internet.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the STAD type cooperative learning model. This research was carried out on Class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Mananggu, Gorontalo Province in the odd 2019/2020 academic year. The research used is classroom action research. There were 17 students who took part in the classroom action research, consisting of 7 boys and 10 girls, who on average had moderate abilities in physics subjects with a learning completeness level between 41.2% - 64.8%. The results of the study prove that the use of the STAD type cooperative model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills on static fluid material. The results of the analysis show that in the first cycle of learning, the results obtained are from 17 students only 11 people or 63.53% who get mastery learning, experiencing an increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle of 19.56% so that students who experience learning mastery reach 14 people. or 83.09%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the bricks and the percentage of additional shredded used tires and glass powder that meet the minimum compressive strength requirements of solid bricks (SNI-3-0349-1989). This research uses a laboratory experimental method with variations in the percentage of additives from used tires and glass powder. The results showed that by using shredded used tires and glass powder, the three types of aggregates met the quality classification of bricks according to the minimum compressive strength requirements of solid bricks (SNI-3-0349-1989) with quality standard III. The use of used tires and glass powder in bricks as an added material by replacing some of the sand from the ratio can provide a quality standard III in making bricks according to SNI 03-0349-1989. Glass powder and used tires with an average compressive strength of 60.95 kg/cm2, 55.70 kg/cm2 and 45.19 kg/cm2, the three types of aggregates are included in grade III bricks with average compressive strength.

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar fisika adalah miskonsepsi. Miskonsepsi merupakan pemahaman konsep yang tidak sesuai dengan teori ilmiah. Tujuan dari penelitiana ini adalah mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan Certainty of Response Index (CRI) pada materi suhu dan kalor dengan metode deskriptif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 siswa SMA Negeri 09 Bombana. Intrumen tes yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik pilihan ganda tiga tingkat atau three-tier test. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mencari persentase pemahaman siswa dan jawaban benar pada setiap item soal, serta persentase miskonsepsi untuk setiap item soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase jawaban benar siswa sebesar 35,15%, rata-rata miskonsepsi 66,5%, rata-rata CRI kategori tinggi sebesar 78,13%, kategori rendah sebesar 21,19% dan tidak paham konsep sebesar 21,1% pada materi suhu dan kalor. Rata-rata alasan jawaban benar siswa diperoleh 29,19% lebih rendah dari alasan jawaban salah yaitu 70,81%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswa dalam memilih jawaban tanpa didasari oleh pemahaman terhadap konsep fisika yang ada. Persentase miskonsepsi tertinggi terletak pada miskonsepsi item soal 1, 2, 5 dan 13 yaitu 63 siswa dengan persentase 79% yaitu materi konsep “definisi suhu, sifat termometrik benda, penentuan titik didih air, dan perbandingan benda dalam menerima kalor”.

Abstract

Nanocomposite Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) doped Copper (Cu), Cu-TiO2 is synthesized by the impregnation method. This study aims to determine the effect of adding Cu to the TiO2 structure. The 1, 3, and 5 Cu with% TiO2 dissolved in 50 ml of deionized water, and 3 grams of TiO2 added. The compound is then stirred for 2 hours at 90oC and dried in an oven at 110oC for 30 minutes. Drying samples were calcined at 500oC for 3 hours. Cu-TiO2 nanocomposites were characterized by XRD, SEM-EDX Mapping, and FTIR. The XRD analysis results show that Cu-TiO2 nanocomposite has a high level of crystallinity and has an anatase phase structure. The size of TiO2 crystals decreased with Cu doping and increased from 49.66 nm to 49.68 nm, with an increase in the composition of the doping mass of Cu. The SEM-EDX Mapping results show that all samples tend to clot, and Cu dopants evenly distributed on the surface of TiO2. FTIR analysis explained the presence of hydroxyl ions in the sample marked with the appearance of the absorption peak at 1658.78 cm-1 associated with OH bending of Ti-OH.

Abstract

this study present several examples of using Excel spreadsheets to study and simulate physical phenomena, namely projectile motion, falling motion in The air, The wave function of particles in a one-dimensional box, and nuclear radioactive decay. Spreadsheets are used to analyze the motion of projectiles with and without resistance, falling objects with different terminal velocities, graphs of wave functions and probabilities with different values of n, i.e. n=1 to n=4, and nuclear decay with different probability values of P. The use of excel spreadsheets has proven to be very useful in the physics learning process, namely the rapid response to changes in data and graphs, according to the values given

Abstract

The structure and thickness of the solar cell device layer have a big impact on how well the solar cell works. There for, the aim of this study was to examine how hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon solar cells’ thickness and device structure affected how well they work. Simulation or modeling of the structure in one dimension (1D) is used for the analysis. MATLAB programming was used to analyze the simulation result. The optical band gap changes due to the influence of the structure, therefore the thickness of the p-, I, and n layers are kept constant at 250 Å, 9000 Å, and 250 Å respectively. The results showed that the maximum performance is obtained at the optical band gap, Eci = 1,39 eV, and the resulting power is 0.063465 Watt. Whereas in the simulation of the effect of the thickness on the i-layer, the optical band gap is set to a constant value of Eci = 1,4 eV, while the thickness of the p-layer and n-layer is set to 250 Å. The results also indicate that the maximum performance is at the i-layer thickness of 9000 Å and the power generated is 0.063364 Watt.

Abstract

This research aims to know (1) differences in comprehension of students ' physics concepts are reviewed from urban schools taught using real labs with Virtual laboratories (2) Differences in understanding student physics concepts from rural schools Taught using a real laboratory with a virtual laboratory at MA students in South Konawe district.This research is a quantitative study using experimental methods with a treatment by level 2 x 2 design.The subject of this study is MA students in South Konawe district consist of 4 schools determined with purposive random sampling technique.The instrument used is a deed test and a test understanding of physics concept.Data analysis techniques used using T-Test tests are of 5% significance. The results of this study were obtained (1) There are differences in understanding concepts Student physics taught using a real laboratory with a virtual lab reviewed from urban schools in the MA district of South Konawe, and (2) There are no differences in understanding the physics concept of students being taught using a real laboratory with Virtual Laboratory of the school in the countryside at MA in South Konawe district.Keywords: real labs, virtual labs, understanding the physics concept

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the application of the think pair share (TPS) learning method and conventional methods to student learning outcomes in physics learning. The type of research used is quasi-experimental (Quasy Experimental Design). The subjects in this study were two classes, namely 24 X MIPA 1 students as an experimental class using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning method and 24 X MIPA 2 students as a control class using conventional methods. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using documentation, tests, and observations. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Independent Sample Test (t-test) with a significance level of 5%. Before the data were analyzed, a prerequisite test for normality analysis was carried out. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the TPS method with conventional methods in physics subjects. Where the average post-test score for the experimental class was 72.45, higher than the control class, which was 51.54. These results indicate that student learning outcomes in the experimental class experienced a significant increase compared to the control class. The results of calculating the gain score for the experimental class obtained an average pre-test of 54.04 and a post-test of 72.45 so a Gain of 0.40 was obtained in the moderate category. Whereas in the control class, the average pre-test was 49.87 and the post-test was 51.54 so a gain of 0.03 was obtained in the low category. This shows that learning using the TPS method is better than using conventional methods.

Abstract

The lack of facilities and infrastructure, both laboratories and projectors, makes teachers rarely use learning media with methods that are still teacher-centered, making students limited in visualizing physical phenomena. This phenomenon has an impact on the difficulty in understanding physics so that their learning outcomes are included in the low category. Researchers in overcoming the problem using animated videos. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the application of animated videos in improving physics learning outcomes for class XI at SMAN 9 Kendari. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique which was divided into 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique used is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study found that the use of animated video-based learning media was very effective to be applied to the physics learning process as seen from the provision of posttest questions and the gain test value also increased by 0.69 in the experimental class and 0.62 in the control class which was included in the medium category. So it can be concluded that animated video media is effective in improving physics learning outcomes
