Abstract

In the modern era, the development of technology is no doubt. Where humans always find new innovations to create new inventions or upgrading old technology capabilities to something more esophisticated thanprevious technology. A form of technological progress that plays a major role in life modern namely Android-based Smartphone. At the Emarketer digital research Institute explained that in 2018 an estimated number of active Smartphone users more than 100,000,000 people out of a population of 250,000,000, and is expected to become the fourth Smartphone consumer after China, India and the United States (Solikin, Informatics, Vocational & Palembang, 2018). Therefore, the presence of a Smartphone can be a business opportunity for education. Smartphone can be used as a creative, innovative and interactive learning media. The use of Smartphones in the world of education is a positive step for para students to get education outside formal school hours. To compensate presentation of various types of applications that are less useful that is usually played by the para students, the authors create an application in the form of general knowledge about geography lessons that also take part in current technological developments.

Abstract

PT Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di Penyedia Layanan Internet atau penyedia layanan Internet dan Telepony. Perusahaan memiliki karyawan yang tersebar di beberapa ruangan, media komunikasi merupakan sarana terpenting untuk menjaga komunikasi antar karyawan. Sebelumnya, media komunikasi yang digunakan di PT Batam Bintan Telecommunication adalah telepon PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange), tetapi dalam aplikasi penggunaan telepon PABX tidak optimal karena setiap kamar hanya memiliki satu telepon PABX sedangkan di satu kamar memiliki delapan karyawan . Oleh karena itu, perlu mengoptimalkan sistem komunikasi antar karyawan di PT Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi. Salah satu caranya dengan mengoptimalkan komputer yang ada untuk alat komunikasi, dengan mengimplementasikan Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) sebagai media komunikasi pengganti PABX. VoIP diimplementasikan menggunakan AsteriskNow Server dan SIP Phone, Zoiper, serta MicroSIP Softphone sebagai aplikasi untuk melakukan panggilan di komputer klien. Dari hasil penelitian, implementasi VoIP pada komputer di lingkungan PT Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi yang terhubung melalui AsteriskNow Server, VoIP dapat memfasilitasi komunikasi antar karyawan yang bermanfaat untuk mendukung kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

The rate of technology is growing rapidly with the increasingly competitive global competition. The begin technology everyday such as the internet, computers, and robotics. Robotic innovation is increasingly diverse made by utilizing robotics manufacturing technology can be done using various control systems such as using a remote control, or using Android smartphone. Of the two types of control systems on Android smartphones are very much preferred because its practical and user friendly. Robot is a machine that can perform tasks independently or use human control. Robot generally is from intelligence computing and physical machines (motors) combined with control via cable, wiffi and bluetooth.The robot can be controlled manually or automatically .Robot installed using Bluetooth as a data receiver from users or transmitters. One of which is the bluetooth application that is installed on an Android smartphone now. Android is one of the most popular used operating systems by mobile phone manufacturers because user friendly. Various of Android applications with functions that help humans a lot, especially in terms of robot technology. With the control application with Android, the robot will move without using cables. Android application can use various kinds of programming languages ​​such as c ++, kontlin, and java.

Abstract

Basically, humans are very dependent on the environment around them in everyday life in the form of natural resources that can support human life. Indonesia is one country that is rich in natural resources that provides many benefits such as coconuts and counting coconuts using only makeshift equipment manually, books and pens or counting coconuts using a hand tally counter, thus causing a lack of efficiency in working time. Current technological developments, there have been many technologies designed to help human work directly indirectly both in the office, company/industry, and home. In industrial field, equipment is used manually and can even be replaced by using technological equipment so that it can function automatically, device for counting the number of coconuts through the sensor is a device that can be used in designing a new system that is applied to farmers. technology uses Photodiode and Infrared sensors that function to detect an object. The way the coconut counter works automatically will count the coconut that passes in front of the sensor, Infrared sensor E18-D80NK and displays an output in LCD 16X2 which is the number of coconuts detected by sensor. prototype automatic coconut counter is used when unloading and loading coconuts.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has a lot of natural wealth and people who have a livelihood. The average public and private employee is a resident who lives in a busy or downtown area. Everyday city dwellers who are always busy with the hustle and bustle of the city and job descriptions that can make them feel bored certainly make them look for something they like to eliminate the boredom which is usually called a hobby. Hobbies themselves are fun activities that are usually done by someone to calm the mind and overcome boredom starting from doing sports, entertainment and other things. In this study the author will discuss hobbies related to entertainment that can be done by someone at home. Namely maintaining fish in the aquarium. In maintaining fish, fish that are kept in an aquarium cannot be carelessly cared for. Many things must be considered. Such as aquarium cleanliness, water content in the aquarium and when feeding the fish so that the fish do not die and harm the owner of the aquarium itself. With this problem, of course, aquarium owners need a schedule to take care of these things. For that we need a way how to feed fish automatically at predetermined times, namely by regulating the feeding time specified by the aquarium owner. With a 180º servo motor that is programmed with Arduino and DS3231, the microcontroller can process it so that the servo motor can rotate by following the schedule we specify.

Abstract

Mitra Center is one of the residential areas in Sagulung District with a small area located in Kel. Sungai Langkai, Kec.Sagulung, Riau Islands, Batam City. Wired network infrastructure that is only provided by one ISP in this location has disappointed residents becouse has been limited. As a result residents buy a GSM data package that is also not cheap. Therefore researchers try to build a network based on Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). Residents registered in this place are more or less 40 family cards (KK), the location of this place is classified as small and not extensive, which only has 4 blocks residential area. After conducting observations and interviews with several residents, consumption of internet access is relatively high, they are commonly complained when using GSM data packages becouse is not enough to buy once a month. Some of them interested using the wired internet provided by ISP like Indihome, but currently the available network is empty. Therefore, researchers designed a WLAN by utilizing an indihome connection that would be upgraded to 50Mbps to be allocated to WLAN users with a fair usage and optimization sharing mechanism, and adjusting needs based on data obtained during the data collection.

Abstract

This study designed a Fiber to the home (FTTH) network using gigabit passive optical network (GPON) technology. The network design is carried out in the Uma Cape area, the Tanjung Tritip area with parameter values ​​in accordance with the Proxynet standard as a company that will build a FTTH network at the research location. This study aims to design the FTTH network and calculate the link power budget, rise time, power receive and required traffic capacity. The design in Tanjung Triptin consists of 1 OLT, I ODC, 10 ODP in each area designed. There are 55 customers consisting of 52 houses, 1 school, 1 shop house and 1 mosque with a total traffic of 290.2 Mbps which can be covered by 1 OLT. The link power budget is used to obtain the amount of attenuation. The standard amount of attenuation from the Proxynet is 28 dBm. The results of the calculation of the Link Power Budget for each customer still meet the damping standards set by Proxynet, which is 28 dB. In this study, the greatest attenuation value was obtained in the uplink path of 26.21 dB, and on the downlink line of 26.01 dB. The power recieve (Pr) value obtained on the uplink path is -10.53 while the downlink path is -10.51. Based on the calculation of Rise time system, the highest value is 0.250 ns. This value is in accordance with the expectations below 0.583 ns.

Abstract

PT. Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi has several employees scattered in several rooms. Communication media is the most important way to maintain communication between employees. Previously, the communication media used in PT Batam Bintan Telecommunication was a PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) phone, but in the PT. Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi has several employees scattered in several rooms. Communication media is the most important way to maintain communication between employees. Previously, the communication media used in PT Batam Bintan Telecommunication was a PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) phone, but in the implementation of PABX the phone is not optimal because each room has only one PABX Line while in one room consists of eight employees. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize communication system between employees of PT Batam Bintan telecommunications. Communication system optimization is done by implementing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) as pabx replacement communication media. Voip is implemented using Trixbox server, SIP phone, Zoiper, MicroSIP as an application to make calls on client computers and VPN as security between clients. Each employee will be created a VoIP account that is listed on the trixboxx server by providing a telephone number and password on the VoIP account.Based on the results of the study, the application of VoIP on computers in the PT environment. Batam Bintan telecommunications connected by Trixbox server, VoIP can facilitate communication between employees that is useful to support employee performance. With this VoIP is expected to replace the previous communication used in PT. Batam Bintan Telekomunikasi is by replacing PABX with VoIP by utilizing internet facilities at PT. Batam Bintan Telecommunications.

Abstract

Air pollution is a problem that is still unresolved. Air pollution can occur due to incomplete combustion of vehicle engines or industrial processes that produce gases that are not good for health. Gaseous compounds contained in polluted air can have a negative impact on health if the levels exceed normal limits. Therefore, this study aims to increase awareness of the importance of healthy air quality, so that people will be more concerned about health and can minimize the risk of breathing harmful air. In this study, an air pollution monitoring tool is offered which not only functions as a monitor but also determines the level of air pollution content. The monitoring system in this study is equipped with an MQ135 sensor which functions as an air pollution detector. The results of air quality monitoring in this study will show 2 conditions of ambient air quality, namely: good and bad. With this information, people can know whether the place is safe or dangerous for their health. The Department of Environment tests gas emissions from two-wheeled to four-wheeled vehicles because many vehicles have emitted gas emissions that can interfere with the air we breathe, besides the broad impact that can interfere with public health, such as asthma, cancer, lung disease. lungs, and so on. Because of this, researchers want to provide awareness to the public about the importance of air health for both pedestrians and those who drive to breathe healthier air.

Good bandwidth management makes data access to the maximum the process of sending data is not disturbed and the smoothness of data becomes good in the process of sending data uninterrupted and smooth in accessing the internet. However, with a lage number of partners and customers, as is the company’s abillity to create more added value. good stable internet network in a provider, of course it can greatly support the process of selling services to consumers, of course it is very necessary in the process of accessing information in internet access, in this case a provider is needed in managing the bandwidth distribution system. While the number of customers is large, so a provider must be smart in dividing good bandwidth according to the prioritized customer capacity. The problem that will arise on internet network that do not apply bandwidth management is that all users who are connected to the same network will not get the same capacity and will cause network congestion which interferes with other data traffic so that they cannot maximize the data sending process.
