Abstract

Digitalization is an important role for MSMEs to adopt sustainable economic practices, such as product lifecycle extension and collaborative consumption. Digitalization has been a catalyst for MSMEs in Jakarta for operational efficiency and adopting the principles of circular economy, a sustainable practice that emphasizes resource efficiency, waste reduction, and use of sustainable materials. Circular economy emphasizes sustainable resource management which is increasingly encouraged by the government to be implemented in various economic sectors. This study aims to identify the influence of digitalization roles and strategies on MSMEs in the Jakarta area in supporting the circular economy. The development of digital technology that can be adopted by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector has increased the number of MSMEs entering the digital ecosystem, especially in urban areas such as Jakarta. This research uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 100 MSMEs in September 2024 located in the Jakarta City area. Data analysis used regression analysis from SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software. The result of this study obtained a stimulant F value of 416.730> 3.8327 and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 which indicates that both the role and strategy of digitalization applied to MSMEs has a significant and positive effect on the circular economy in the Jakarta area. This research is expected to enrich the literature on the relationship between digitalization and circular economy, especially in MSMEs in Jakarta.

Abstract

Financial literacy training for elementary school teachers is a strategic initiative to instill basic financial management skills in students through curriculum integration. This community service program was conducted at SDN Pengasinan 1 with 26 participating teachers. The activities included material delivery, group discussions, thematic lesson plan development, and evaluation using digital pre-tests and post-tests via the Kahoot app. Pre-test results indicated a low initial understanding, with an average correct response rate of 44.29%. After the training, post-test results showed significant improvement, reaching 85.71%. Analysis revealed increased understanding in nine of ten financial literacy indicators, though a decline was observed in grasping basic concepts, suggesting the need to reinforce fundamental materials. Overall, the thematic and participatory approach proved effective in enhancing teachers’ competencies in financial literacy and demonstrates potential for replication in other elementary schools.

Abstract

Banking is a financial institution that drives the economy of society, including agricultural producers. The financial literacy index in 2014 showed a very low value of 65.43%. Limited financial literacy hinders farmers' ability to access formal credit institutions such as banks. Financial technology has emerged as an alternative to make it easier for farmers to access sources of financial financing. This study aims to examine the impact of farmer characteristics, financial literacy, and financing service quality on access to formal credit, along with the determinants that influence access to formal credit in financial technology. This study was conducted in Kabandungan District, Sukabumi Regency. The research methodology used was a mixed method, with a total of 100 farmer participants from Kabandungan District. The analysis methods used are descriptive and qualitative analysis, utilizing Microsoft Excel, SPSS, and Smart PLS software. The t-statistic value shows that farmer characteristics with a t-statistic value of 4.48 and financial literacy with a t-statistic value of 11.25 have a significant effect on access to formal credit and financing quality in Financial Technology financing.
