Abstract

Buya Hamka's Tafsir Al-Azhar is one of the important intellectual legacies in the study of Indonesian tafsir in the 20th century. This interpretation was compiled by the Indonesian cleric and scholar, Buya Hamka, who is not only known as a mufassir, but also a writer, thinker and public figure. Tafsir Al-Azhar offers a classical Islamic scientific approach, modern thought, and the socio-cultural context of Indonesian society. Hamka uses a simple language style, logical arguments, and emphasizes universal Islamic values, such as justice, humanity, and moderation. This interpretation also reflects the spirit of Islamic reform, an effort to respond to the challenges of the times, and voices the relevance of the Al-Qur'an in everyday life. In the study of Indonesian tafsir, Tafsir Al-Azhar is an important reference that represents thematic and contextual styles of interpretation, making it relevant for modern readers today.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the teaching skills of volunteers through an internship program at the Dakwah Spring Al-Quran House in Bandar Klippah. The research was motivated by the need for competent and dedicated teachers to support the Quranic learning process in the community. A qualitative approach was used, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation of volunteers participating in the internship program. The results showed that the internship program provided volunteers with hands-on experience in classroom management, developing teaching materials, and implementing effective learning methods. Furthermore, volunteers received regular guidance and evaluations from experienced mentors, improving their pedagogical skills and teaching confidence. Another positive impact was the formation of a solidarity network among volunteers, strengthening their motivation and commitment to preaching. The study concluded that the internship program at the Dakwah Spring Al-Quran House in Bandar Klippah was effective in improving volunteers' teaching skills and could serve as a model for human resource development in other Quranic educational institutions. It is recommended that this internship program be continuously developed and periodically evaluated for optimal results.

Abstract

Anxiety disorder has become one of the most pressing mental health issues in modern society. Conventional psychological approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), pharmacotherapy, and mindfulness often emphasize biological and rational aspects, leaving the spiritual dimension underexplored. In fact, spirituality plays an essential role in establishing psychological balance. This study aims to examine the Qur'anic values of ridha (acceptance), tawakkal (trust in God), and sabr (patience) as interpreted in Sayyid Qutb's Fi Zhilalil Qur'an, and their relevance in overcoming contemporary anxiety. This research applies a qualitative method with a library research approach, utilizing thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhū'i) of the Qur'anic verses and their interpretations, combined with Islamic psychology literature and empirical findings related to anxiety. The results indicate that ridha serves as active acceptance fostering emotional stability, tawakkal harmonizes human effort with reliance on God to generate inner peace, and sabr strengthens psychological resilience in facing life's challenges. The integration of these three values forms a holistic Qur'an-based Islamic therapeutic model that is both normative and applicable. Therefore, this study highlights the significance of Qur'anic spirituality as an alternative framework for addressing anxiety while simultaneously reinforcing the spiritual foundation of modern Muslim communities.
