Abstract

This study aims to: (a) describe social issues that are the focus of author criticism in short stories in the April 2015 Jawapos newspaper. (B) describe the form of social criticism submitted by authors in short stories in Jawapos April 2015. (C) to describe the implications of the Jawapos short story study in the April 2015 edition of Indonesian language learning. The type of this research is qualitative research by using descriptive method of content analysis. The results of this study are social problems contained in the April 2015 edition of Jawapos short stories, namely (1) the problem of poverty (2) the problem of crime (3) the problem of the young generation in modern society (4) religious issues and beliefs (5) Environment (6) family disorganization problem. Furthermore, the form of social criticism submitted by the authors in short stories in Jawapos (April) edition of the Jawapos newspaper, (1) the direct form of criticism (2) the cynical form of criticism (3) the symbolic form of the delivery of criticism (4) the form of humorous criticism 5) the interpretive form of interpretive submission. Abstract

Indonesia is a major producer of swallow nests with high export value, but constructing swallow houses remains challenging due to biological and technical complexities. This study aimed to develop a more efficient construction schedule using the Critical Path Method (CPM). CPM was chosen to identify activity paths that directly influenced project duration, thereby minimizing delay risks. A quantitative approach was used through a case study of a four-storey swallow house project in Batua Village, Kutai Kartanegara. Data were collected via observation, interviews, and technical documentation, and analyzed using Microsoft Project to determine critical paths and estimated durations. The analysis revealed that out of 42 activities, several were on the critical path with zero slack. By focusing on these critical activities, the project duration was reduced from the original 220 calendar days to 184 days. This demonstrated that CPM effectively increased scheduling efficiency by aligning with both the biological and technical requirements of swallow nest construction. The findings provided valuable insights for swallow house developers to implement more structured and efficient planning, while also encouraging integration between civil and ecological engineering in specialized construction practices

Abstract

The digital transformation in higher education demands innovation in learning evaluation systems to make them more interactive, transparent, and adaptive to the characteristics of the digital generation. This study aims to analyze the level of student satisfaction with the use of Wayground (formerly Quizizz) as a digital evaluation medium in the Pancasila Education course, which focuses on value-based and character-oriented learning. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a survey method, with a questionnaire administered to 136 first-semester students of the Business Administration Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Samarinda, selected through cluster sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean scores and satisfaction index using a Likert scale of 1–5. The findings indicate that student satisfaction falls within the “satisfied” category, with an overall mean score of 3.87. The highest-rated indicator was visual appeal and interface design (mean 4.09), while the lowest was learning motivation (mean 3.66). These results suggest that Wayground is effective in enhancing the efficiency, objectivity, fairness, and accessibility of learning evaluations while reinforcing technology acceptance (Technology Acceptance Model) within value-based education contexts. The novelty of this research lies in the implementation of a digital gamification platform within an ideological course, an area that has been rarely explored in previous studies.

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of a holistic approach to moral education, focusing on the distinct challenges Generation Z encounters in developing moral character within the dominant presence of digital media. Using a literature review with descriptive analysis, this research explores various educational resources to identify key factors in implementing holistic education for moral development. The results show that a balanced approach, which integrates cognitive skills and emotional intelligence, effectively cultivates an ethical and empathetic mindset among students. Holistic practices, such as Community Service Learning, role-playing, and mindfulness, enhance students' social responsibility, empathy, and critical thinking skills. This research highlights practical implications for educators and policymakers by identifying several challenges in implementing this approach, including resource allocation, teacher training, and cultural adaptability in diverse educational contexts. These findings underscore the need for systematic support from academic institutions and policymakers to make holistic moral education more effective. This study concludes with recommendations for further research on the long-term impact of holistic moral education on character development across various cultural backgrounds, emphasizing its role in creating an empathetic and socially responsible generation.

Abstract

Media informasi digital merupakan suatu pencapaian keunggulan kompetitif bagi bisnis. Kehadiran teknologi digital yang menyediakan media informasi aktual dan interaktif dapat mengoptimalkan fasilitas yang ada pada institusi. Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis, Politeknik Negeri Samarinda (AB Polnes) berupaya mengoptimalkan fasilitas melalui media digital agar menjadi suatu pencapaian dalam memudahkan civitas akademika memperoleh informasi aktual dan meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif antar jurusan. Urgensi penelitian ini adalah penerapan sebagai capaian layanan institusi dalam mengoptimalkan sarana yang ada melalui pemanfaatan media informasi digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat penerapan media informasi digital berupa website dan pengelolaan media sosial Instagram, Facebook dan YouTube bagi Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis Politeknik Negeri Samarinda. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, disajikan secara deskriptif. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, penerapan, dan pengelolaan. Media informasi digital yang dibuat adalah dengan memanfaatkan website dan media sosial. Penerapan website menggunakan CMS WIX dan optimalisasi berupa hasil pengelolaan media sosial dari Facebook, Instagram dan YouTube sebagai hasil pembahasan dari artikel ini. Media informasi digital ini dibuat sebagai upaya optimalisasi fasilitas institusi yang ada. Pemanfaatan dari hasil penelitian ini menjadi acuan bagi institusi dalam melakukan transformasi digital serta menyediakan fasilitas yang lebih optimal. Penambahan media audio podcast dapat menjadi saran tambahan bagi penelitian terapan yang dilakukan.
