Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based employee promotion evaluation system at PT Timbul Mandiri Agung using the Weighted Scoring method. The system was developed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the evaluation process, which was previously conducted manually. The Weighted Scoring method enables objective decision-making by assigning weights to evaluation criteria such as performance, work experience, skills, attitude, discipline, and attendance. The study adopted the Waterfall model for system development, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The results indicate that the proposed system enhances evaluation accuracy, accelerates decision-making processes, and increases employee trust in the company’s evaluation system.

Abstract

Abstrak - PT Mesitechmitra Purnabangun mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola persediaan barang. Salah satu masalah yang sering terjadi adalah jumlah stok yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan aktual di lapangan. Penyebabnya cukup sederhana: Penyebabnya adalah karena perusahaan belum memiliki sistem yang dapat memprediksi permintaan barang secara akurat. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, kami mengembangkan sistem manajemen persediaan berbasis web yang menggunakan metode Weighted Moving Average (WMA) untuk meramalkan kebutuhan barang. Kami memilih pendekatan Agile Scrum dalam pengembangannya karena lebih fleksibel dan memungkinkan kami bekerja secara bertahap. Sistem yang kami buat memiliki beberapa fitur utama, yaitu pengelolaan data barang, pencatatan barang masuk dan keluar, modul peramalan menggunakan WMA, laporan biaya, dan pengaturan hak akses pengguna. Pengembangan dilakukan dalam beberapa Sprint supaya prosesnya lebih terarah dan terukur. Untuk memastikan sistem berjalan dengan baik, kami melakukan pengujian Blackbox Testing terhadap fungsi-fungsi sistem. Sementara untuk mengukur seberapa akurat peramalannya, kami menggunakan metode Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Hasil pengujian pada empat jenis barang menunjukkan nilai MAPE antara 16% sampai 19%, yang termasuk dalam kategori "Baik". Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode WMA dalam sistem berbasis web memang efektif meningkatkan akurasi prediksi kebutuhan barang. Dengan demikian, perusahaan dapat membuat keputusan pengadaan barang yang lebih tepat dan efisien.Kata Kunci: Weighted Moving Average; Peramalan; Scrum; MAPE; Sistem Manajemen Persediaan; Berbasis Web; Abstract – Managing inventory at PT Mesitechmitra Purnabangun hasn't been easy. The company often finds that their stock levels don't match what they actually need, mainly because they don't have a proper system to predict demand accurately. To solve this problem, we developed a web-based inventory management system that uses the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) method for forecasting. We chose the Agile Scrum approach for development because it's more flexible and lets us work in manageable, focused stages. The system we built includes several important features: managing product master data, recording incoming and outgoing goods, WMA-based forecasting module, cost reports, and user access management. We divided the development into Sprints to keep everything organized and measurable. To make sure the system works properly, we ran Blackbox Testing on all the functional components. Sementara untuk mengukur seberapa akurat peramalannya, kami menggunakan metode Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). When we tested four different product types, the MAPE values ranged from 16% to 19%, which falls into the "Good" accuracy category. These results prove that integrating the WMA method into a web-based platform really does improve demand prediction accuracy.
