Abstract

Dari Asesmen Nasional (AN) 2021 kita dapat mengetahui bahwa capaian kompetensi literasi siswa sekolah dasar (SD) masih rendah. Di tingkat SD, satu dari dua perserta didik belum mencapai kompetensi minimum literasi. Artinya, tidak sedikit anak didik kita yang jauh dari tuntutan kompetensi literasi masa kini dan masih sulit memahami informasi dari teks yang ia baca. Hal demikian menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam berbagai aspek keteramilan berbahasa yang harus mereka miliki di tingkat sekolah dasar ini. Salah satu keterampilan yang menjadi perhatian bagi guru sekolah dasar adalah bagaimana menumbuhkan Kemamuan berbicara .Keterampilan berbicara adalah kemampuan mengucap bunyi-bunyi artikulasi atau kata-kata untuk mengekspresikan, menyatakan, serta menyampaikan pikiran, gagasan, dan perasaan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi Kipin School Sebagai Literasi Digital untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berbicara pada anak SD Kelas Rendah. Metode studi pustaka dipakai dalam penelitian dengan memakai data sekunder, data bersumber pada buku dan artikel di jurnal lokal maupun in ternasional dalam internet. Topik pembahasan mencakup keterampilan berbicara, anak SD Kelas Rendah, dan aplikasi Kipin School. Data bersumber dari buku dan artikel yang terbit di Indonesia maupun internasional. Dengan teknik mengumpulkan data memakai teori milik Mary W. George derngan menerapkan 9 langkah proses penelitian studi pustaka. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Kemampuan berbicara pada siswa kelas rendah perlu diasah dan dilatih dengan meningkatkan kemamuan literasi baca tulis terlebih dahulu dengan Aplikasi Kipin Scholl sebagai media literasi digital. Dengan Buku cerita digital dan video cerita rakyat ada Kipin Scool dan strategi bembelajaran yang tepat mendorong kemampuan berbicara anak SD kelas rendah untuk mampu berbicara berdasarkan literasinya terhadap informasi yang ia peroleh dari sumber literasinya.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate (1) the types of languages used concurrently by speakers in Mentawai, and (2) the social, cultural, and educational factors influencing language choice across different contexts. A qualitative descriptive research method was employed to explore and present the data in narrative form. This approach is particularly suitable for uncovering linguistic practices and providing rich, in-depth descriptions of language use in a sociolinguistic setting. The study focuses on the phenomenon of diglossia in the Mentawai community from a sociolinguistic perspective. Given the complexity and contextual nature of social data, a qualitative approach allows for more accurate verification and interpretation of language practices, which might otherwise be obscured in purely quantitative research. The findings highlight that language choice in Mentawai is deeply influenced by social hierarchy, education, and cultural interactions, revealing a layered linguistic landscape shaped by both tradition and modernization.

Abstract

By using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach at Al Azhar 32 Islamic Elementary School in Padang, this study aims to improve students' reading and writing interest. Learning motivation is crucial to improving students' academic achievement, especially in basic literacy skills such as reading and writing. However, due to the lack of diverse and non-contextual teaching strategies, elementary school students often have low literacy motivation. The PBL paradigm, which focuses on solving real-world problems, is one of the creative, more dynamic, and challenging learning methodologies needed. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method uses two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fourth-grade students, and a learning motivation questionnaire was administered before and after the activity, along with observations of learning activities and interviews with teachers and students. Descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative analyses were conducted on the data. The research findings indicate that using the PBL paradigm significantly increased children's motivation to write and read. Students' enthusiasm increases, they participate more actively in class discussions, can express their thoughts more systematically, and become interested in literacy-related activities. The Problem-Based Learning approach has increased elementary school students' reading motivation. Through problem-based learning that can be applied to students' daily lives, this approach encourages emotional and cognitive engagement.

Abstract

The learning of Indonesian language and literature is closely related to the reality of human life. Not only good teaching and correct language skills, language and literature are also able to reflect social conditions such as educational gaps, culture, and other societal problems. Based on this, the purpose of writing this article is to describe the relevance of the latest issue of social disparity in education to the learning of Indonesian language and literature. The method used in this study is a literature study by collecting information and news related to education gaps, especially in terms of facilities and access to learning, in the period from 1 to 30 May 2025. The data was then analysed and associated with the implementation of Indonesian language and literature learning. The findings show that the issue of social disparities in education, such as differences in facilities between schools, and unequal access to technology, has relevance in Indonesian language learning. This happens because these social realities can be used as material for reflection, teaching materials, and learning evaluation. The conclusion of this article emphasizes that the learning of Indonesian language and literature cannot be separated from the dynamics of people's lives, so the issue of social disparities in education is important to be raised in a contextual and meaningful learning process.

Abstract

Language in human life functions not only as a means of communication but also as a medium for expressing thought, culture, and identity. The philosophy of language emerges as a branch of knowledge that examines the essence of language, its relation to the world, and the processes through which it is formed. Within the development of linguistic studies, the philosophy of science plays a crucial role in providing foundational perspectives. This study aims to analyze the role of philosophy of science in advancing linguistic scholarship. The research employed a systematic literature review (SLR) by identifying and screening relevant articles aligned with the research questions and objectives. Following the screening process, two relevant articles were selected to strengthen the analysis. The findings reveal that philosophy of science contributes to the growth of linguistic knowledge by examining its epistemological foundations, particularly how linguistic knowledge is acquired and understood, and by mapping the interrelations between linguistics and other disciplines. Furthermore, it provides theoretical, methodological, and critical foundations that guide the development of linguistic theories and applications. Through a holistic and reflective approach, philosophy of science encourages scholars to critically examine underlying assumptions, broaden perspectives, and deepen understanding of the role of language in society and human life.
