Abstract

The Sumedang Regency Communication and Informatics, Coding and Statistics Service is a government agency that utilizes information technology to support its operational activities. This research examines how security risks are managed for information technology assets in the Department. The risk management approach used in this research refers to ISO 31000:2018. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of the ISO 31000:2018 standard is effective in protecting IT assets and minimizing risks that could disrupt smooth operations. The methodology used includes identification, analysis, evaluation and risk management. The identification results show that there are 14 potential risks, consisting of 7 low level risks, 3 medium level risks, and 4 high level risks. Risks in the high category require more attention, especially those related to power outages, which are recommended to be overcome by installing an automatic generator.

Abstract

This study explores the application of machine learning algorithms, specifically Linear Regression and Decision Tree Regressor, for predicting student academic performance using academic grade data from Kaggle. The analyzed factors include attendance, assignment grades, midterm exam grades, and final exam grades. The research methodology encompasses data collection, preprocessing, model development, training, and validation. This study contributes to the field of educational data analytics by demonstrating how machine learning can provide actionable insights into students' learning patterns and academic outcomes. The findings emphasize the effectiveness of Linear Regression for linearly distributed data and Decision Tree Regressor for capturing complex, non-linear relationships. The implications of this research suggest that machine learning models can assist educators in identifying key factors influencing student performance, enabling targeted interventions to enhance learning outcomes. Future research should explore larger, more diverse datasets and incorporate ensemble methods, such as Random Forest or Gradient Boosting, to improve model generalization and prediction accuracy. Additionally, integrating socio-economic and psychological factors could provide a more holistic perspective on academic achievement.

Abstract

Algorithms have become an integral part of everyday life, particularly in entertainment, shopping, and navigation. This study examines how algorithms influence individual decision-making. Data were collected through an online poll involving 200 respondents, selected using a statistical sampling method. The results indicate that 55% of respondents perceive algorithms as having a significant influence on their decisions, while 28% report a moderate impact. A confidence interval analysis (95%) has been included to ensure statistical accuracy. The study highlights the importance of digital literacy in mitigating algorithmic bias and suggests future research on how socio-cultural factors shape algorithmic perceptions. This research contributes to understanding the extent of algorithmic influence on daily decision-making and raises user awareness of technology’s impact. The implications include the importance of digital literacy to mitigate dependency and bias in algorithm usage and the potential to develop more transparent and ethical algorithmic systems. Future research could explore the relationship between users' awareness of algorithms and their behaviors in various contexts and evaluate ways to enhance public understanding of how algorithms function in the evolving digital ecosystem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of the Sumedang E-Office application in order to improve service quality using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) [1]. This study uses the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) survey methodology, and this study also collects survey data and a sample size of 25 people. The data sources for this study are primary data and secondary data. The research stage begins by determining the formulation of the problem, analyzing needs, defining questions, identifying respondents, measuring UEQ, and finally drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the Sumedang E-Office application service still needs to be improved. This is supported by the results of the benchmark graph which is on average in the red range, namely the bad range. Of the six dimensions or existing measurements, those that need to be updated or improved: attractiveness, accuracy, stimulation and novelty.

Abstract

Th Advances in information technology have had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including organizational operations. The Mobile Attendance Application (K-Mob) is one implementation of information technology designed to simplify the process of recording attendance in real-time. However, this application is vulnerable to risks that can hamper operations, such as hacking, system failures, and data security issues. This study aims to identify, analyze, and evaluate risks that may affect K-Mob's performance using the ISO 31000 framework. The analysis process is carried out through communication with stakeholders, risk identification, and risk evaluation based on the frequency of occurrence and impact. The results show that significant risks faced include hardware damage, server disruptions, and data misuse. Risk management is carried out through mitigation strategies, such as system updates, infrastructure strengthening, and increasing human resource capacity. With this approach, risks can be minimized, ensuring the sustainability of K-Mob's operations, and improving system reliability. This study recommends regular risk evaluation and the development of adaptive strategies to address evolving threats. The implementation of ISO 31000 has been proven to provide effective guidance in information technology risk management.is.

Abstract

The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet of things (IoT), known as the artificial intelligence of things (AIoT), represents a transformative leap in technology. This study investigated societal readiness for AIoT adoption and identified key factors influencing the readiness. The researchers used technology readiness index (TRI) model and broken down the model into the online survey’s instrument. The study used about 129 samples for examining the used variables, i.e., perceptions of innovation, technological skills, social and cultural influences, regulatory factors, and digital literacy. The authors employed partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS 3.0 to analyze the relationships between the variables of the model. The results highlighted innovation as a significant driver of societal readiness, while factors like discomfort have a lesser impact. Security and optimism also played moderate roles in shaping readiness. These findings offer crucial insights for stakeholders of the AIoT implementation by providing a foundation for strategies that promote the successful integration of AIoT into society. The study contributes to the broader discourse on technology adoption, offering a roadmap for enhancing societal preparedness.

Abstract

The assessment of the use of information systems has been carried out by many researchers. This research was conducted in Private Universities in Indonesia, which currently involve many information systems in many ways, especially those related to the management of Higher Education, by measuring the readiness and usability of the use of information systems with models that I build from the integration of two models. The results of the measurement of this study were obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, there were 47% of respondents who filled 61-80% of the level of IS usage and 68% of respondents stated their readiness in the level of readiness to use IS. The stage consists of evaluating reflective measurement models and structural model assessments. Evaluating reflective measurement in evaluating internal consistency reliability using Composite Reliability, Reliability Indicator, Convergent Validity, and Discriminant Validity, finally concluded that the use of the Readiness and Usability integration model can be forwarded to a more complex research stage and can use the questionnaire.
