Abstract

A writing assessment is a review of an individual's writing abilities and skills. Usually, the goal is to assess a person's written communication skills. There are numerous various ways to evaluate writing, including essays, performance tasks, and multiple-choice exams. The purpose of a writing evaluation is to thoroughly evaluate an individual's writing abilities, including their command of syntax, vocabulary, style, and organization.The purpose of this research is to analyze the writing assessment of some previous research related for students’ ability in writing. The amount of the research are three research. This research belongs to library research. In collecting the data, the writer use documentation. The instrument used was the writer itself. The data will be analyzed descriptively by use table and words explanation. The result of this research reveals some ways to analyze students’ writing paragraph.

Abstract

The purposes of the present study are to explore students’ difficulties in vocabulary acquisition and to discover the strategy which able to solve students difficulties in vocabulary acquisition. Strategies are specific methods used to approaching a problem or task, modes of operation for achieving a particular end, plan or designs for controlling and manipulating certain information. The research object of this study is the students in seventh A of SMP Negeri 7 Metro. The researchers use observation, interview and document to collect the data. The result of the study shows that there are some strategy to solve the students difficulties in English vocabulary acquisition: meta-cognitive strategy, cognitive strategy, and socio-affective strategy. Each of strategies plays important roles in vocabulary acquisition.

Abstract

The objective of current study is to analyze the used of derivational suffixes in psychological content of Psych2go youtube channel. Affixes and roots are combined through the derivational process to produce new words. Derivation is thought of as the creation of new words out of already existent ones (Rahayu, 2019). The main morphological element utilized to create new words from pre-existing words is a suffix. The method used in this research is descrptive method and qualitative analysis. The data was taken from Psych2go youtube channel with the video entitled “3 Daily Rituals for Better Mental Health”. The result of this research revealed that there are 9 suffixes used in the content namely suffix –ly, -ful, -ness, -ion, -al, -ance/-ence, -ity, -ish, -able. The researcher makes this recommendation to other researchers who have an interest in analyzing and who wish to have a thorough comprehension of the numerous suffix kinds in YouTube channel content.
